I use a scissor jack with a 1/4” socket welded to it. And use a drill to raise it back up. Smaller starting profile then this.

Yea we used to do that in the 90’s but find that it can damage or bend the bottom of the blade pack on today’s cheap dampers.
Still a cracking idea though!

Exactly, when your access door only allows you to get one arm in, a scissor jack and a piece of 2-by-4 work wonders.
