Not sure where you live, but I live in a predominantly wealthy town, and about 80% of the women are stay-at-home housewives. It's not really "vintage" in certain socioeconomic areas, so I don't buy the authentic bags either, and go for the *hotdups* for what works for me.
I' plan to add color burgundy, cuffed jeans , Mary Jane. Shoes and cardigans in my wardrobe this fall. Absolutely no low rise jeans or feathered shoes. Still plan to wear mascara. I'm glad the glamor makeup is returning. Thank you for the wearable fashion video for fall. ❤
I’m loving the wine/darker reds coming for fall. One of my favorite colors! I do have a couple of cardigans and I like the top button option rather than all the buttons done. I do find the feathered footwear very odd and wouldn’t choose that for myself either. Thanks for the trend update, Amanda!
I will always love the English Countryside style for! Just buttoning the top button of a cardigan is cute and classy too. I can also get behind the burgundy trend, I’ve never been into red but burgundy is a classic for fall/winter. The feathered shoes made me laugh. I’m sure someone will own it well, it just won’t be me. 😂
I’m excited about shorter cardigans this year. As much as I loved the longer style on everyone else, I’m very petite and felt like they always swallowed me up. Feathered shoes.. absolutely not. And I’m with you on the low rise. Two kids later that ship has sailed 😂 Would love to see upcoming videos on how to style some of the Fall wearable trends. Always love your outfit ideas.
As a fellow, blonde, I wish I hadn’t been forced to give up mascara abs liner in mid life, but the allergies and sties have defeated me. It’s very common for ophthalmologists to proscribe all such eye makeup in mid and later life. Women do it anyway, but my eye health is too important to me, and nothing works. Enjoy while it causes no issues.
This is the first year I am organizing my closet to have only clothes hanging that are for that specific season/holiday. Hoping to grab and go without much thought as colors will be paired ahead of time.
I never gave up my warm knee-high socks, I wear them at home all autumn, winter and early spring with my beloved knit dresses (I’m not a trouser gal, they’re not comfy on me). I have cashmere ones in most of my wardrobe colors (Garnet Hill), but thick cotton is almost as warm. When I go out, I just put a pair of boots over them and add a blazer or coat, depending on weather, over my dress, and add any accessories I want, it’s so easy. I also wear tights with my skirts and dresses when it’s cold, but it’s not as comfy, with those killer waistbands. I can only size up so much, about to an XL (I’m a Medium) or they will bag on my skinny legs.
Also agree that colors like burgundy, brown green, qre the colors more aproach for the season. My school uniform color was burgundy @ primart school.. and I love it..
Love some burgundy, just added a few pieces from old Celine- a jacket and a bag😜 love natural makeup, not into anything over the top. Cuffed jeans it’s something new and unusual , to me, added to my closet , from Old Celine, as well.❤️
I get that the red will transition to wine, but my coloring is like yours. I’m sticking with clear / brighter red with warm undertones for fall (just a little) such as Red Gazelle sneakers or a red cashmere cropped jumper in a warmer color I just picked up from J crew. I’m a light spring. I’ve learned burgundy is not my red!
As a stay at home mom, is there anything wrong with carrying a neverfull with a *hotdups* ! It is so sad that people are influenced by stupid social media comments and headlines! If you like something, go with it! Carry the bag you like and that you can afford!
Im just gonna take the jeans I already have and cuff them. I literally did this today and then I sit down before bed and watch this video and see it’s a trend 😂
Great vid! 😊 I’m definitely up for lower rise (not ultra low) pants styles. Not talking Britney circa yr 2000 but a more balanced look away from the high rise waist styles that make the torso look short and out of proportion. Also… not loving the pleated styles I see in the stores currently. Who needs this much fabric around the mid-section?
I’ve always loved the English Country style since it was trending when I was an older teenager/young adult in the late 70s and early 80s. I have some slim, stretchy pants (I don’t like denim) that I wear tucked into my Ralph Lauren leather riding boots and a couple of RL quilted jackets for this look, my more country-style wool blazers (Banana Republic can have good ones) are also great. I like the way full-length skirts and dresses look on me, but I find I just don’t reach for them that much, so I stopped buying them. They’re not very practical, either for going out and about, where they can get worn or soiled, or at home in my three-story home. I’m always carrying something up or down the stairs and they require a free hand, or even two, to lift them up. The narrower-cut ones are a bit easier to wear, I have an older rayon knit one I love in this style, but fuller skirts are trending more right now.
Burgundy isn’t a trend for me. It’s one of the few colors I wear. I have sweaters, silk blouses, a blazer, and wide leg corduroy pants in burgundy. I’ve had these pieces for sometime now and wear frequently in the fall and winter. I bought a burgundy bag last year that I love and I’m looking to get some burgundy boots or loafers.
Curious about the term “ barber “ jacket “? In another utuber’s video , what was shown… and named as such was in actuality imo and my understanding a farm and ranch work/ utility jacket . Over and over they showed the classic brand “Carhart “ always labeled in leather patch on their jackets. I looked into the “barber “ jacket which is very different . Shown was a shortsleeved very light weight mock neck or mandarin collar as opposed to a classic Carhart . Could you weigh in and clarify as a stylist / influencer?😉🤗
So I can now answer my own question now lol 😂 Barbour is the correct spelling , changing the definition ! 🤣 More of an “ English “ term and fitting in keeping with the Fall look of English Countryside that is trending ! Not the typical uniform a barber may often wear 🤣😂
Have you changed the way you record? For some reason now if you listen with ear buds, it only plays in one ear. I tried several pairs and asked someone else to listen to it as well.
Oh that’s weird! When did it start doing that? I’ll try and see if I can troubleshoot that. I use the same mic and camera that I have been for the last year but maybe there’s something in editing I can do
Oddly, burgundy was a trend color over the spring and summer, but it seems more of an autumn color. I did get a burgundy linen dress and a burgundy-checked, pale pink cotton blazer to wear with it, I love them. I love burgundy and a lot of the other classic colors trending this autumn: khaki/olive green, red, browns-especially cool-toned, darker ones, and many blues. These are colors that I always have in my wardrobe, along with my neutrals and cool-toned pinks and other greens. Because I have cool-undertone coloring, I look for the cooler, more grayish khaki green than the more yellowish olive green, which looks best on those with warm undertoned coloring. Similarly, I look for cool-toned to neutral reds, rather than the orangey tomato reds that have been trending. This is the best autumn fashion season I’ve seen for two decades or so, many of the styles and colors are both very wearable, for once. At least, Ralph Lauren’s are, his show was by far the best, he shows designs that one could really wants to buy and wear. I wish more designers would give us wearable styles, they are so desperate and obsessed with doing something “original” that their designs are just their artistic fantasies, not clothing. Fashion is wearable art and there is “nothing new under the sun”. We women make them original in what we choose to purchase, combine and how we style them together. Fashion should be more consumer-focused. Thanks for your video🙂
I love watching these videos even though I know I'm going to stick to my girly classics. I think it's fun to see what's happening. I like bag charms and cardigans, but I'm with you on the fluffy, feathery shoes- hard pass.
Most of these styles are not for me. I personally have never seen anyone ware those jeans I don’t even remember anybody wearing them back in the day. Most of the other styles I’m sure will die out too. Most people don’t wear what is in style anyways even younger kids. My area has a lot of high school kids most just wear the baggy pants and grunge style for the 90’s. And 80’s preppy style. Fun video I like seeing the crazy runway styles. 😂
Crop pants are the ugliest thing ever. Ankle pants are not bad but I dare you to find them in talls. Ankle does not mean 10 in above. Many catalogs dont even tell you the inseam. We do have other choices. I think we are going to see everyone in blue jeans again.
A burgundy handbag is a classic for Winter, especially with black, navy and caramel/off white colors.
Yes! So pretty!!

I like the cardigan. It was as popular now as it was in the 1950s. Somehow it always makes its way back
into fall fashion.
Yes! It's such a classic staple! 😊
So happy about the cuff jeans. For a person with short legs this saves me money 😂
Haha! Love it!! 😊

I 'm going to stay classic, however today I fell in love and bought with a pair of point toe chelsea boots!
Love it!! 😍
I don't know what you're doing to your skin or your makeup but it looks great girl keep it up
Awww..... thank you so much!

I will definitely be styling fall trends in upcoming videos! Glad you like it!
Really enjoyed this video! And thanks for making it practical!
Glad it was helpful!
I’m here for rolled up jeans, riding boots, cardigans buttoned at the top only, but as a blonde - I’m not giving up my mascara! 😄
Yes girl! I am with you!!

Not at all. That is why if you read the reviews you will notice the word “I” is used.
Fine, just don’t wear black, wear brown.
This is the first year I am organizing my closet to have only clothes hanging that are for that specific season/holiday. Hoping to grab and go without much thought as colors will be paired ahead of time.
Oh that's interested, I'd love to hear how it goes!

Thank God the glam everyday look is here to stay ✨️ 🙌 ❤
Yes!! 🙌
Im pretty sure the no make up thing is here to stay too.
Hopefully lash extensions are leaving…. 😅
Haha I think they are with the "no mascara" trend that's going on!
😂😂😂 they’re awful
yes... along with eye irritation and infections!
I hate them 😂
but i have 3 eyelashes naturally

Where did you buy the cardigan you’re wearing? So pretty. Please let me know ❤ thank you for the info
It's actually from Francesca's and no longer in stock, but I have some similar cardigans linked in my LTK!
I ain't wearing feather shoes!😂
NO!!!! Hahaha!
I hate those. Also hate those mesh ballet flats that everyone and their pet llama have been wearing
Burgundy my favorite color and top buttoned cashmier sweater
Yes!!! Love both of those! 🥰
Like the detailed way you explain the trends.
Thank you!

Hi Amanda. I just like to stick with the classics. You can never go wrong with a black turtleneck and a pair of straight dark denim jeans.
Yes! I am with you on that!
My bird wears feather shoes😂😂😂
😂😂

Burgundy and denim go very well.❤
Yes! Agree!
POV: all you heard was hoodies under leather blazers and you are good to go!
Fabulous fall 😊
Thank you! 😊
I love reds and Mary Janes . I will be buying a cuffed jean
I really like reds too! I'm adding it in my wardrobe more and more!
Im just gonna take the jeans I already have and cuff them. I literally did this today and then I sit down before bed and watch this video and see it’s a trend 😂
“i wont wear that again”. until that make a trendy comeback!! 😒😂
haha style and people are always evolving!

Same! Burgundy is the color that suits me the best.

I have a beautiful burgundy leather jacket that I must wear this fall and winter!!
That’s going to be gorg!!
@@AmandaJohn I have not worn the burgundy jacket at all! So glad it's in style to wear that color!🥰

Hi, what about the color pink?
Oddly, burgundy was a trend color over the spring and summer, but it seems more of an autumn color. Yeah I have been cardigans fan for years 😁
Yes! Love cardigans!!
I like the way you explain...i subscibe for you😅
Thank you!
The low rise jeans of today aren't even low rise, they are mid rise.
💯 and for flat arse no hips people, like me, high rise is a travesty. Yuck.
I'm ok with that. Haha!
Yes! So happy to see the rise trending lower and away from grandpa pant heights!
Im starting to explore flats a bit more but not necessarily mary janes.. just get do that one
Love a good flat!
4:06 I actually saw someone wearing feather shoes in Rome back in May. And it was raining. Like, HOW AND WHY WOULD PEOPLE THINK THIS IS A GOOD IDEA
Oh my goodness!! Why?!?!?!
thanks
Jolly good taste. Thank you for sharing :-D
Glad you enjoyed it!
I love red. Feather shoes 🤦♂️. Im not into the cuff jeans but like the wide leg or flare jeans
Yes I'm with you!!
Hard pass on the low rise jeans. Butt cracks are never on trend. 😂
😂😂😂
And get long socks to wear w those baggy pants. The wind sure whips up the leg n brrrrr in cold weather
Good idea!
❤from Brazil
I love watching these videos even though I know I'm going to stick to my girly classics. I think it's fun to see what's happening. I like bag charms and cardigans, but I'm with you on the fluffy, feathery shoes- hard pass.

You can find ankle pants in tall at most chain stores. They come in 30" long. I'm 5'11 and wear tall.
I don’t like Mary Jane’s for grown up women.
I can understand that!
I so agree but love them on younger women.
