Capt Nick is first class! The best captain in the Florida Keys! Great Video! I had the pleasure to meet him with my family at his docks a few times and he is as down to earth as they come. Nick takes his time to talk to people and you just feel at home over at Bud and Mary’s.. Wish you all the best! Capt Tony
I fished with Nick when he was running the B&M with a faulty auto pilot. We still caught a swordfish! I also fished with him on his Freeman and have watched his You Tube channel since he caught the big one. He hasn't changed and is a great Captain and a better human being! It's through this episode that I found your channel and now I'm a subscriber.
Cool interview 👍🏻 My late brother Jim used to make the fishing rods for Capt Nick's passengers, like Ted Williams and Boog Powell. Spring training, and they loved to fish. He'd make them in the back of Tackle World in South Miami. Mel Shapiro was very kind to our brother, and TW was a bike ride away. Different time and a long time ago. Viva Cristo Rey
I remember watching that video when he caught that swordfish....Man that was epic...I can only imagine seeing that come out from the bottom...Great work guys ❤
Captain C.A. thank you for all you do. Flats class and Tidewater Diaries has helped me acclimate to Florida fishing. I've learned a ton from you and your guests. I think you're a great host and teacher. I'm always looking forward to your next video. Cheers!
This is another great video Capt CA. I'll have to start watching his channel. I have a question. Why don't the swordfish guys put in a mask and fins, and use a bigass speargun to help secure big fish? That story about getting the leader on the reel a bunch of times and finally breaking off was the kind of thing they could avoid by hopping in and poking the fish. I personally might want a power head with a bullet or 410 shell to shut it off. That's way too much time fighting the fish to lose it and it's very likely worn out and shark food. So I like the idea of jumping in and helping secure the catch.
You don't want to be struck by their bill for starters but also it's not uncommon for large Mako sharks to follow swords up and if you did spear one and not kill it instantly it would run for the bottom and could possibly get you tangled in the line and drug down with them. One of only a couple of fish that are capable of coming to the surface from 3,000' and go right back down with no issues. Hope this helps.
Great spending some time with you! Hope to fish together one day
We should absolutely make that happen Nick! All my best to you and the Fam this holiday season… regards CA

Enunciate that's what we think about you when
Some people would believe in Santa Claus provided the rest of the congregation believed in it and would strike you down for doubting it?
If you would change up your fishing you could get bigger people don't like the same thing over and over FACT'S
