In order to be eligible to run for coroner in Idaho all you need is to be at least 21 years old, a citizen of the United States and a resident of the specific county for one year. If you win the election, you must complete annually at least eight hours of training. So yeah.... not surprised. Until then I think Potato Head actually thought they were going to get away with this. Especially knowing how Lori had so easily gotten rid of Joe and Charles. And his own wife was still not cold in the grave. Until this time he thought all his stupid dreams had come true.
This is an awful case - this is the ultimate betrayal of a mother and her children deserved a mother who put them first. I feel the Morman Church need to find away to protect their members, especially children, from abuse and unsavoury personality types because ‘benefit of doubt’ isn’t working.

After the murder, he hides under a rock and NEVER volunteers to contact Chandler PD with everything he knew. THEY track him down a month later after HIS WIFE had contacted them.
💩 Summer Shifflet, Lori's sister: Knew all about "Lori's mission" and how she "had help from the other side" and cheered her on.
💩 Gilbert PD, AZ: Police officer ON BODYCAM advising Lori how to evade being taken by the police to Community Bridges for a court-mandated 72 hour evaluation.
💩 Community Bridges: they let Lori go after a couple of hours' (NOT 72 as the court had mandated) psych eval
💩Chandler PD, AZ: Botched Charles Vallow's murder investigation. They shoved all the HARD evidence under the rug and never made an arrest for what was a clear-cut murder case. Lori and Alex were free to kill 3 more people.
💩Melanie Gibb, Audrey Barratiero, Zulema Pastenes, David Warwick: All 4 knew what happened to zombies and they all kept their mouths shut and supported Lori and Chad. Gibb even said about Charles' murder :"They had been planning it for months and months and months".
They ALL have blood on their hands. Lori, Chad and Alex could have been stopped at least after Charles was murdered but noone lifted a finger.
all this could have been prevented if only the police listen to Charles. police are just as responsible, they could have saved Charles and the children. They did nothing. It might have to do with the fact that the decision was made by a coroner and not a medical examiner. In order to be eligible to run for coroner in Idaho all you need is to be at least 21 years old, a citizen of the United States and a resident of the specific county for one year. If you win the election, you must complete annually at least eight hours of training. So yeah.... not surprised. Also, it is highly likely they were LDS which might have played a part in their not suspecting such an "upstanding" LDS author like Chad 🤢

The police saw a good looking blonde and ignored Charles, didn’t take him seriously at all. I hope this case is used to properly train law enforcement. Charles told the police that Lori said that she could murder him. The police failed Charles dreadfully. Had they properly investigated Charles’ death maybe the kids would still be alive. Also if Chad didn’t rate the kids as zombies they’d still be alive. This case is so bizarre. How about Lori’s niece, why hasn’t she been charged. If she didn’t say anything negative about Brendon there wouldn’t have been a hit out on him. I know you need evidence but, come on, Melanie, the niece, lived right next door to Lori, can’t they charge Melanie with conspiracy, I don’t know, but I really feel for JJ’s grandparents and Tylee f JJ’s brother, he lost his whole family.

She's not eligible for the death penalty in AZ as she's only charged with conspiracy to commit the murders, that's 25 to life. Also, I think (not sure 100%) that she has to serve her sentence in Idaho first and then (in a future probation 😆) be taken to AZ to serve the next sentence.
