@American Foam My cousin gave me a broken rapidstrike and I tried to fix it. When I press the rev trigger it does either nothing or gives a very weak amount of power to the motors. However when I press the pusher trigger, the motors power up to normal speed. My pushrod works normally. Can you help me with this?

You where talking about nerf wars and what not but are those actual scheduled events? Like put on by organizations
Basically yes. We have a smallish club in NE Ohio that (during non pandemic times) hosts monthly wars with various game types. Scale up all the way to an Endwar type event with 800 players and that’s a whole other level of crazy.

Yeah, I really want to mod this rapid strike I found at GoodWill, and since it didn’t work, I wanted to mod one. Most of the mods were outdated.
Loved it. Brought back so many memories. My first two mods ever were rapid strikes. I used fang revamped motors on 2s and achieved an average of 140 fps. I also used a switch plate and agree it makes the job so much more simpler and easier. The paint job looks fantastic. If you want it to pop a little more the same scheme using metalic automotive paint realy makes it shine.
I just modded my first Rapid strike. This video was so easy to follow and you explained things so well. I’m very pleased with my end result. Thanks for the help!
I bought this kit last year but did a few semi auto fly wheel mods to get experience. Today I finally built it and wow. That switch plate made this possible for me. my soldering is not the best Thanks for this video.
The plate helps a TON. I never really cared to try it the old fashioned way myself. Glad the mod came together well for you.

I’ve modded a ton of Rapidstrikes and apparently they have all been via live center. Thanks for the post. The linked article was awesome as well. I will most certainly be putting a push button on my next build so that I can toggle between live center and dead center. Thanks again!

I love the Stampede and always thought of the Rapidstrike as the Elite version even though they work completely different internally. So seeing the yellow Rapidstrike is really cool to me.

Thanks much for this guide! I built one using your video, step by step. Great stuff. I had to do a little extra dremel work on the shell to get it to fit together properly, but the blaster runs like a champ. I'll probably be making a few more - not too terribly difficult.

I just started modding nerf blasters and modded my stryfe
I recently bought a new rapidstrike and changed the battery to a 3s (it doesn't burn the motors) and I thought that it would work but it didn't (The darts were coming out of the blaster as if an old man was pissing and had prostrate problems)
So I made a similar kit. Now it shoots a little slower than yours but does the job( I have a 20C 3s)
Printed the trigger part, flywheel cage and flywheels, got the motors from an friend of mine who is an electronics shop owner.
burgundy on smokey 22 rnd mags is a great combo :)
also 2s pusher with 3s wheel motors seems like a peculiar choice but it seems to work well so kudos

Shell strike. Maybe brass a single shell or do some shell testing with the AF half darts.

I was wondering about the switch mounting plate, I have plans for an integration with a pair of rapidstrikes but using half a hyperfire for the back half, would that mounting plate sit well inside the shell of a hyperfire or does it only fit inside a rapidstrike?
I accidentally stripped the screw for the front sight but I don’t have an electric drill or flat rubber bands. Anyone can help?
Does anyone else have an issue with it being insanely loud and the flywheels falling off and the screws coming out? Is it better to use it on 2s?

What battery did you actually use? For example Turnigy 2200mAh 3S 25C Lipo Pack and importantly do all Lipos fit?
For the automatic gearbox, can I use a 180 sized motor, or will I have to cut into the outside shell?

I followed your links in your description to get these upgrade parts unfortunately CC Cyclone High Performance Flywheels Are currently unavailable what would be your next best suggestion for flywheels to work with this mod kit?
What battery are you using? Why did you use the kraken 3s motors for the fly wheel but meishel 2s motor for the pusher? Is your battery 2s or 3s?

I'm finally getting into modded and I plan for the rapidstrike to be one of my first major mods. I was also wondering what fps is this mod able to achieve?
What if the flywheel motors don't spin in the correct orientation? How would the wiring change to get the spinning correctly.
Polarity! Inverse the + and the -, and the motor will spin reverse
7:53 so as long as the pins don't snap off, them being bent is ok, right?

You are gonna get better performance of you use worker High crush wheels. 10 fps better. In a worker cage you are gonna be able to rifle so use that next time

Would this work with a stratohawk? I only have a stratohawk and not a rapidstrike.I have heard that the stratohawk is just a repaint of the rapidstrike so I was just wondering.

As long as it’s pushing, no.

How difficult is it to tap the trigger and only shoot one dart at a time with this build?
This type of build is really meant to be a dart hose. With a quick tap your lucky if you only get 2. Usually 3-4 darts per burst.

Hey buddy can you help me? I have a rapidstrike cs-18. I have a 25c series 1000mah 3s batteries. I'm getting a kraken 3s 130 motor and rapidstrike overhaul pack. The flywheels that is in your description is out of stock. Can I get another kind of flywheels for the set up? If so, canyon you send me the link please, thank you.
Give the Daybreak wheels a shot. I like them in some of my newer builds.

What lipo did you use?
did anyone else's trigger's start getting stuck after finishing the mod and closing the shell back up? idk if its just me but i cant tighten the screws in my grip all the way or the triggers get stuck.
That happens to me sometimes in mods. I sometimes sand down a little extra plastic out of the shell surrounding the trigger. Do a very small amount at a time until the trigger operates smoothly. Also a very small amount of lithium grease or superlube never hurt either.

What would cause the blaster to not stop after one trigger pull?
Sounds like a case of runaway. The pusher sometimes continues to cycle if it’s not wired correctly OR the switches aren’t setup exactly right as far as placement into the blaster is concerned. Rapidstrikes can be a little finicky sometimes. The r/nerf subreddit has more in-depth posts on the topic I believe if you need help with yours.
@@AmericanFoam Thank you so much! I got that fixed but it seems that I need to make more mods to the case to get it to go back together. Was that true for you also? Also, the trigger pull seems awfully short. Did you have the same experience?

Would this mod work on the Elite 2.0 Turbine, since it it the same as the rapidstrike?
I assume the principles are similar but I can’t say for sure unless I had a turbine to open up and verify.
@@AmericanFoam alright, i watched a video review of the turbine and the battery tray isn’t the same so idk of the wiring would work. Reason i was asking is bc i have a rlly old rapidstrike that jams and a new one is like $150 (USD) and I’m kinda broke rn lol
