Yep, that's the wiring that comes with the kit, except for the voltmeter bit. I reused the original wiring for that, as it only draws a very small current I believe it's 18G wiring with the kit.
@@andrewg_nerfmods That sucks, it looks bloody fun. Though I've never been to a "normal" Nerf War as it seems there isn't a Nerf Club near Hull (anymore at least).
This question comes up on Reddit pretty often - have a bit of a look there to get some ideas about game types and how to organise. Other UK players may have local tips for you.
It's a smaller sized motor than the stock one - might take a bit of work to fit it so that it's not loose. One problem with increasing the rof of belt-driven blasters is that you increase the chance of the belt knobs slipping over the top of the next dart as it goes around and the next dart moves up in the magazine. That can chew up your darts and lead to inconsistent firing. For higher rof, I'd stick with Scotch yoke or solenoid pushers - much more reliable.
@@paulvtrades They should be fine - 5A rating that you see is usually for 125 or 250 volts - we use a fraction of that. And the worst that would happen is a switch blows out and you need to replace it - cheap and easy to do.
I used that metal barrel in a stryfe full auto and i had 2 darts wrap around the flywheels so bad i had to replace the whole flyeheel and motors
Hi mate, did you use the wiring that came with the kit or did you use something else, if so what gauge was it?

@@andrewg_nerfmods great, many thanks man.
You said its good for HvZ? Do we have that in the UK? I can only ever find American "college campus" events.
I kind of meant maybe lower-fps events, like 130fps.
But yeah, hvz seems much more of an American thing.

Sounds like you need to start one!
@@andrewg_nerfmods I would, if I had the foggiest idea how to.

What do you think about using a mieshel 2.0 motor for the pusher motor?

@@andrewg_nerfmods but when/if the belt doesn't skip, the rof would be increased using a meishel 2.0 motor?
Yes, running a 2S motor on 3S voltage will give you 1.5x the rpm.
@@andrewg_nerfmods would I need to use different switches? Or can I use the little black micro switches that come with the kit?

What battery did you use for this mod?
A 3S lipo anywhere between 1000 and 2200mAh will do, and easily fit in this battery tray. You'll want a burst C rating of 50 or so at the lower end.
@@andrewg_nerfmods would a Turnigy nano-tech 1000mah 3S 25~50C Lipo Pack work?

Could I use a 1300mah 3s 45-90C battery for this setup? Or is that too much?
