Holy shit, i thought that Sanzaru fucked up the PS3 version (and the 4th game) but the Mz Ruby section......i have no words. I wish for death and that's putting it nicely
I really hope Implicit Conversions gets this sorted out. I and many others have made the issues with both versions of the game notified them on twitter and discord, so I guess it's a waiting game from here on out
Unrelated: but did you know you can play the Japanese version if you switch your system language to Japanese? I know there were some differences made in it, so it's cool we get to experience it without having to jump through extra hoops
hi Gehis I'm French and I've been training like crazy in Speedrun sly 1 for 2 years now. I've reached a good level, but there are still some glitches that I can't figure out like the fish skip and the panda king proxy I intend to beat your world record 😁. and I also wanted to know if it was possible to achieve a world record on sly 1 but on ps5, because I haven't yet gotten a backwards compatible ps3. Kinda dumb it’s not “legal” to speedrun , who cares if someone wants to run a bad version then let them? Kinda elitest take tbh “ it’s not good so you are not allowed to run it “ . It’s a legit retail version. Saying it’s not allowed because of “bugs” is like saying sly in general shouldn’t be ran because of the skips because “it’s game breaking” smh good thing I don’t speedrun anymore to many bs arbitrary rules

It is a point of contention because the wild inaccuracies of how the game is emulated completely makes it a different game and is not at all fair for being run alongside the other methods of playing (ps2, bcps3, ps5, etc.) Alongside that it was clearly an error on the dev's part so a pending update was necessary to determine if it would be allowed for the main leaderboard. But it's a moot point now, the game has since been patched and it's allowed (:

It's been timed to be about 35 seconds slower for the ps5 version. But definitely continue speedruning it in the mean time
