The most overlooked filter is the pollen/cabin filter, but it makes a huge noticeable difference to the blowers if it was filthy and needed changed. Yours looked like it had never been changed.
You made that look easy Gary! And probably saved a few quid in mechanics costs! And you also know that it been done correctly and using new parts! 👍 Top man,
Good tips 👍 Have fait talento same engine and set up Quick fill oil, top of engine cover, maybe yellow cap? Or hose, cink hose turn it right and lift up as cap Pour oil straight into engine 7.4 l 5w 40
Gary please give it a good thrashing now and again as these are terrible for the dpf’s blocking up if poodled about all the time. I wash at least 7 different dpf’s a week at work. The exhaust pressure sensor pipe clogs up with soot and is a pain in the arse to change. Your engine looks very dry so I would guess you have a good one. Nice video as per usual 👍🏴
You have to wonder why a serviceable part is placed in the most difficult place in the vehicle. It is hardly a wonder they get overlooked. you should see where the cabin filter is on a Renault fluence.
Good video Gary I’m surprised you did use good old Mannol long life 5w30 fully synthetic £33 for 10 ltr off ebay , I did the wife’s 1.6 diesel Sportage with it , and yep the oil is black even after you have changed it
Great video mate,.what would you say about timing chain replacement on these? I've heard people say change them around 75k-100k miles but surely timing chains don't need replacing that soon do they?
Gaza Wow that service turned out expensive price of oil cabin filter was bad it should be better all round once new fuel filter fitted good video mate loved it Phil in stoje
I’ve got a Renault Megane, exactly the same engine, I can remember my service was £250 because of oil quantity. 25000miles/ 24 months is way to long, I always serviced my Megane Every 12 months. Typical French engineers! 😂
Service every 24 months ?, nope, my oil goes out every single year, regardless of the miles. Good oil is cheap engine insurance. A well treated engine nearly runs forever.

I service my cars/vans every 12 months regardless of mileage, two years is quite a while. Down to personnel preference really 👍
I do yearly as well 👍🏻
Thanks for taking us through the van service.
Cheers bud 👍🏻
Nice one gary looking forward to it.
Thumbs up again Gary Spot on 👍👍👍👍
Thanks for the video Gary boy

Cheers David 👍🏻👍🏻
Pull the dipstick before draining the oil. It should flow easier.
Refilling will also be easier with dipstick removed.
Good tips 👍

Great video as usual, Gary .I must say that would have to be the filthiest pollen filter I have ever seen. Well overdue for a change.
