I feel like most people are. The level of transparency Paramount has shown over this movie is ridiculous. They could say something, anything at all, to assure fans everything is okay, but they just don't.

This doesn't surprise me, the Sonic franchise does nothing but reuse renders, it's really funny to me. I remember how everybody was stunned when Sega revealed actual new renders for SXSG like "omg new renders????" it was so funny
It's gonna debut alongside Transformers One. By the way, that movie also had an extremely long wait for its first trailer. The movie will premiere first in South America three weeks from now, followed by US a week later, then other territories like Europe in the weeks after. So we should be less than a month away from a trailer.

I could see that. Something similar happened with Spider-Man: No Way Home. The first wave of toys had a lot of characters and suits and all from previous movies to keep the big surprises of the movie a secret. And then once the movie was out, they began making toys on the more spoiler-y parts of the film.
you do realise the same thing happened with sonic 2? the trailer was released 4 months before the movie. also there was a strike which slightly haltered the progress of the movie, so dont worry.
Reminder that Sega doesn't do the marketing for the films, that why their booth is reusing an image from the second film - Sega doesn't have access to Paramount's promo images for Movie 3 yet.

At the very least the marketing material implies that there isn’t plans to delay the movie yet, so there’s a very real possibility something could happen very soon

I mean the strike didn't affect this movie as bad as some others. This movie was even still filming during the strike (one of the few films doing so) because they were using the CGI stand-ins for the characters and no actors had to be present. And the strike hasn't prevented any other studio releasing films around that time from starting their marketing. If there really is something going on behind the scenes, then Paramount needs to do the smart thing and delay the movie. Much as I hate Disney and think the Mufasa prequel is corporate slop, Sonic really doesn't stand a chance against it with how poor the marketing has been.
I hope that the trailer releases tomorrow. That would be very surprising, because tomorrow is my birthday and I'd be surprised and shocked to see the trailer release on my birthday.

I went to my local Walmart yesterday morning, and I did find and buy the last 2 Sonic Movie 3 Jakks Pacific figures of Sonic and Eggman!!! Absolutely incredible that there is still no poster and trailer for the film.
I hate to be a conspiracy theorist but I have a hunch that they lost existing footage / material for Sonic 3. Hear me out: There IS a trailer that they showed off at cinema con several months ago, yet they haven’t even released a teaser outside of a title card, filming wrapped AGEs ago, and every trailer for Paramount’s schedule for this year has been released. I originally thought the film was just delayed, but they’re STILL adamant on the December release date as we can clearly see here. Also notice how the only leaks for Shadow are promo renders on merchandise, and nothing from the actual film itself. I know this is all a little far fetched but I’ve seriously never seen a movie get promoted like this.
Plot twist: The movie will come out in December but it will just be sonic movie 2 but with blurry Shadow renders here and there since they just live to reuse renders from 2.
The best case scenario is that Paramount has some crazy marketing strategy planned and will go all in when the time is right. The worst case scenario is that the movie is bad, Paramount knows this, and are trying to drain hype for the movie to soften the inevitable backlash.
Paramount is going to be showcasing stuff at Toronto FanExpo, the biggest fandom event of the year, between Thursday and Sunday, but Saturday is the main day for highlighting new and upcoming media, from video games and movies to books and tv shows, I’m going to be there, if there is anything I’ll shout you 😇

We are 4 months away from the film and no trailer, reused animations and renders to promote the film, no official confirmation that Keanu Reeves is even voicing Shadow, and no official poster for the film. All we have gotten is a title announcement, a few cast member announcements, a hidden "trailer" at CinemaCon, and a few merch and toy leeks with new Shadow renders that WASN'T EVEN SUPPOSED TO BE FOUND IN THE FIRST PLACE. Once this trailer comes out, they better be promoting this film like crazy, or nobody (besides us Sonic fans) will even know about the film, and it could do poorly at the box office. Come on Paramount, it's time for the trailer. I'm guessing we will get it within 2 weeks from today... What do you guys think? P.S. I was at Costco yesterday and saw Sonic Halloween costumes, promoting Sonic movie 3 with old Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles renders and the image of Shadow at the end of Sonic 2, opening his eyes. So releasing it at Gamescom on that day might be what will happen.

Games com is in Germany city called Köln. I live near Köln I live in Germany I was there last year I’m not sure if I’ll go there this year
Maybe Paramount is planning to release it tomorrow, because I've been hearing that tuesdays and thursdays are usually when Paramount releases trailers, the Sonic 3 one didn't release this tuesday so this thursday is another possibility of when it could get released and that will be a day during the days that Gamescom takes place through. So releasing it at Gamescom on that day might be what will happen.
