kinda the point that I wanted to shoe make, being a "tradwife" is not about following a culture 70 years old (especially in the "white supremacy" stuff), is to be the supportive partner of your spouse, ESPECIALLY if you have kids, in many places of earth just by saving on daycare, doing proper meal prep, maintaining a clean house, keeping the clothes clean and tidy, and so many other things like you do like properly guiding your children by being next to them, are great things to a partner focus on in the aspect of money saving and it helps build a strong family, it doesnt necessarily mean that the tradwife has to be a white woman, it can be of any ethnicity, and a man can be a tradwife too!
I came from a family of 4 siblings, and my mom was, and kinda still is, a tradwife since she met my dad, and while she was kinda hard on her tutoring back in the day, it surely guided me to not be a degenerate today (at least in society view...)

Yeah, in the same way that "husband" is a term that defines a man's relationship to a woman, the same way I am a "brother" to my sister, or that someone is a "boyfriend" to a girlfriend. My mom is a traditional wife, and my father is a loyal husband. Together they taught me so much about life. My mom to this day is my best friend, who I go to for advice when things are hard, or who I call to celebrate my accomplishments. I would not be close to her if she worked. There were very specific time for myself and my sister in which we would talk to her, and she learned through being home that if she did not interact with us she would miss out. Because I saw my mom spending her free time reading a book, I started getting into reading. When she started picking up art again I would ask her for advice when I started my art journey. I think we forget how important having a parent there for the children is for their development. I feel lucky that my Mom was there for me as I grew up, and is still there for me as an adult. As a man who wants to get married and have kids I know that I cannot force my wife to be traditional, but I would bring in the fact that one of us should be there for our children to help prepare them for the world that we live in.
Anyway, sorry for the long winded comment. I just recently found your channel, and I know this video is old in internet times, but thank you.

And therein lies the crux: 'traditional' parenting is better than 'modern'. Much of the rage vented at this 'tradwife' seems to come from career-minded women who refuse to believe that there is any other way to live, largely because they've convinced themselves there isn't. The rest quite clearly comes from jealously.

I left my job and got nice chunk of money from the settlement with the company, which allowed me to be a stay at home dad for a few months without having to look for a new job and it was the best few months of post-children life. I woke up early, got the kids up, made breakfast and lunch for my wife, did the cleaning, made dinner before she got home. None of this was emasculating, at no point did I feel like the inferior part of the team. It was ******* great and I wish it could have continued for longer. Hating on this woman for living her life the way she wants to? Insane.

Its not modern girls thats the issue but the modern feminist movement which espouses that the highest virtue a women can achieve is to fully embrace her desires, without thought to her responsibilities. Right now men are responsible for both maintaining a household and earning the lions share of household income, while women can do what they want. Its untenable.
According to Pew, men already work more hours (working + housework) yet feminist want to tilt in further in womens favor.

Also, a housewife has an active community life (church, school, community centre, etc...), so she has a whole network to help her if she loses her husband (unless she has been cheating on him).

When I had my son and I needed to feed him at a family gathering, she shoo'd my uncle out of the lazy boy, sent a cousin to fix me a plate and had my other uncle sit beside me to hold my plate and feed me since my hands weren't free. The theory is that if you are financially dependent on your spouse, it becomes harder to stand up for yourself in interpersonal conflicts that naturally arise in domestic relationships. Once your spouse realizes that they usually get their way, it gives them a degree of power over you and they gradually lose interest in doing the work in maintaining a healthy relationship. Small abuses turn to big abuses and the relationship boiling-frogs its way to being trapped in an abusive partnership.
      In theory, anyway.
Something like this probably happens some of the time to some extent, but it seems like some people take this theory as prophetic.

@@resistancefm5133 In theory there should be a dependence in both ways.
If you marry or even just move in with another person, you are in some way dependent on the other person.
If you choose this type of lifestyle.
A wife that doesn't earn money depends on her husband's money.
A husband is dependent on his wife to take care of the household if he doesn't have the time or ability to do it himself.
In that situation both are dependent.
And yes, bad things can happen in those dependencies.
If you choose that kind of lifestyle you need to choose the right partner because if you choose wrong, it's not a nice situation to be in.

@@resistancefm5133 I have a 'trad' wife- this dynamic plays out exactly opposite of how the feminists believe it does because they miss the most-basic tenets of humanity e.g. we naturally feel indebted to people who care for us.
I get it though: maladjusted young adults, that worship money, have a hard time understanding how people could possibly _not_ be in control, if they are the breadwinners.
...and this TV trope of evil grandpa beating grandma over a cold dinner needs to die- if anything, domestic violence has increased. It's all probably unrelated to feminism, but that's kinda the point.

I'm reminded of my grandparents here, both pre-war babies growing up during the depression. She had gone to secretarial college but was glad to quit the field when they married. Both dedicated themselves to the other's security and happiness, both sacrificed to build a household and raise healthy children, and both found their joy in the other's eyes. When visiting, I sometimes found them dancing in the living room to the Lawrence Welk show. He was certainly the "man of the house" but always decided in favor of her needs. What I would give to have it so good; to dedicate my daily labor to such a woman and such an enterprise.
The haters ignore the fact that abuse, manipulation, and selfishness exist in every form of human relationship, even their own. What these people have done is (re)create a structure in which comfort and security far more available than any in mine or subsequent generations have known.

My wife ended up being a stay at home mom all because of one particular event, that being, we had twins (boy and girl), and with the little bit she made being a CNA, us putting two kids into daycare at the same time would have been pointless, she'd basically work just to pay for the daycare. And only after just the first year of staying home and being with those kids all the time, she absolutely can not imagine ever leaving them to go to a job.
I personally think it's possible for far more people to be stay at home moms than most people realize. The biggest hindrance is not necessarily money, it's the unwillingness to sacrifice. Most people don't want to admit it, or talk about it, but no one wants to change/transition to a lower standard of living. I think about the amount of married couples out there that have just one or two kids, are living in a 300K to 500K dollar home, and yet still both parents are working. They don't have to do that, they don't have to have a half million house and two $40-50K cars, but ultimately they desire that standard of living above being able to have mom stay home. There's people that make half as much as I do (105K last year) and still pull it off, and if anything, pull it off better than we do, but they are only able to do it by making the necessary sacrifices, by having disciplined spending.
Note: My dollar figures for housing is more based off what it used to be before the insane spike in the cost of housing, and for someone living in Northwest Indiana.

i noticed this recently that some people are only “pro-choice” when ur choices reflect their personal morals and ethics. being too far right is usually negative but those who are too far left are equally shitty in my opinion. it was also the same with the covid vaccine. if u didn’t get it u were immediately associated with being a shitty person. like lol. people care far too much abt what other people are doing. glad u did what u felt was right and didn’t listen to the messed up ideals for modern womanhood!

Wasn't Ariel the equivalent of an anthropologist in the original movie? She was fascinated by a culture other than her own (land-dwelling humans), took measures to fit in with that culture, and ended up being accepted by that culture, even marrying someone from that culture. She was kind of badass.

It reminds me of an American anthropologist who blended herself into a tribe in Papua and married their chieftain to further study the tribe. Then a few moments later she suddenly left, perhaps her because research was completed, and the chieftain didn't know how to contact her anymore. He even sent envoy to central government in Jakarta to help him found his missing wife.
