My niece (teenager) got a Stanley for Xmas. She says it leaks. I found similar design at Walmart. Ozark trail brand. I bought a dark purple color and it was $15!! Other colors are $20. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
You are so right about the Owala! Received mine for Xmas from a friend at the gym and is a great bottle. It even made TIME’s most innovative items in 2023.
I was so over the obsession of the Stanley Cup, got one as a gift and I like it. I don’t travel with mine. It stays next to my bed on my nightstand. Perfect for when I’m watching tv or wake up and want a cool drink of water. LOVE my Owala water bottle!! I do travel with it and no leaks and it’s sanitary.
Hi Cat! I Always enjoy your videos. Thank you for sharing your experience about succumbing to hype. The important thing I try to remember when it happens to me; is that tons of time, energy & money were spent with the sole purpose of convincing me that i needed to buy the item. We can’t beat ourselves up when the advertisers know how to manipulate us!
I buy my cups from Burlington Coat Factory. I’m not sure the brand names but they keep my water cold for 24 hours and warm for 10 hours all for $15. They can keep all the hype and name.
Hi fellow Canadian! Love your content! Thank you for making me happy I never bought one of those cups. Ridiculous. Stanley brand has been around for so long and then one day they painted it pink and boom! Every girl on planet earth had to have it. I wanted it too…luckily I waste my money on extra planners and justify my planner purchases by being frugal in other ways. I already have too many planners for 2025 and planners are still coming but I can’t make up my mind. Why do I do this to myself every year? Oh well…maybe next year I will have found planner peace and just order one❤. God bless you and keep filming!
Another great video! Don't beat yourself up for falling for the Stanley cup...you learned and moved on. I knew as soon as I carried one for a fellow teacher once that it was too heavy and wouldn't work for me. Plus I've been a Yeti fan for years as while they are not cheap...they are much less expensive than the Stanley and they keep my drinks cold forever! And they last! My school Yeti has taken soooo much abuse but still looks great. I will have to check out the water bottle you mentioned as while I have a tumbler I like I havent' really found a water bottle from Yeti I'm a fan of so I'm open to try new things!
I opted for the 30 oz Stanley and I love it. They do have the leak proof kits on Amazon very reasonable. Stanley has been around for years and will last a lifetime. You just have to know your brand and Owala may be your brand. There is nothing better than a Stanley to me, but it's my personal choice. When making a decision I find it's best to take your time and do the research that way you know what you are getting yourself into. The 40 oz Stanley is just ridiculosly too big for me. I know some who only like the 40 oz, again it just speaks of personal preferences. I love the handle and the major selling point for me is that it fits into my car holder and is sturdy. Now when I want a cup to fit into my backpack I grab my 40oz Meoky which is my second brand i adore. It does not leak at all and still has a handle and fits into my car cup holder it comes it great colors too. There will be times I carry my Stanley and when I carry my Meoky they both are great, however it depends on what my needs are for that particular time. Water bottles that don't fit my cup holder are just not convenient for me. If it doesn't fit my cup holder it is a deal breaker and feels so outdated to me. My husband does like Owala as well.
I have a Yeti cup that I love and use every day. 😝 I got it before Stanley's became a thing. I kinda wish mine had a handle because it's heavy and kills my wrist sometimes... but overall I like the Yeti. It can keep ice cold for hours and I don't have leaking issues. It wasn't cheap when I got it. Probably around the same price as a Stanley. That was years ago though, and it's held up so I'd say it was worth the price because of that. I think when it's time to retire my Yeti I will look into the Owala! Thanks for sharing your honest thoughts. I like that it has both the option to sip and use a straw!
I always thought they were entirely toooo big. I have plenty of cups that I use for my water and I’ve never paid over $15. Lol, “I can’t even open it to show you”😂
Most social media crazes are NOT worth the hype. I have ONE hydro cell water bottle that is probably 5 years old. I don’t like the style with the skinnier bottom half either. It’s less stable.
LOL! Yasss Sis! My friend said the same. She got hers years ago “before it was cool” lol! She loves hers too. I wonder if the quality changed as it got more popular?
@@planningcalm oh no! All of the things you said are still true. 😂😂😂 They are just worth my water from today that I forgot to drink still being cold tomorrow when I remember again. 😂😂😂
@@planningcalm The quality is great it is hard to beat a Stanley in my opinion. Keeps my water cold for days. Loving it Love Meoky too and it is leak proof. The Meoky cup design is more compact even though it is 40oz. My Stanley is the 30oz.
I own a few 32oz and 40oz water bottles. I use them when I have to got to work mostly, so that I don't have to buy water when I get thirsty. As soon as I saw the design of it, I knew that it was impractical. I've seen a ton of videos about how it leaks easily...even a basketball coach who complained about them being on the court.😅
Finally someone speaking truths!!! I am ashamed that I fell for the Stanley fomo also and it sits proudly in the cupboard 😂 bought a cheaper version from Amazon and love it. Doesn’t leak like the Stanley and isn’t hard to get lid off!!! Love your channel 💕
Hi!😊 Thank you for always being so honest and up front with us! I love and appreciate that so much!🥰 I don’t understand the Stanley cup hype, to be honest, it just goes over my head😅 I have a friend who gave me a metal water bottle and metal drinking straws and I don’t know the magic or science but the water just tastes colder and better! And then, I really don’t understand this one, I got a Cirkul water bottle and I actually drink more water if I’m drinking from that bottle. I go from never drinking unless I’m eating something to a constant sipper. On more than one occasion I pick up my cirkul to take a drink and find it’s empty which doesn’t happen with any other bottle lol🤷🏽♀️ Your water bottle looks super awesome, I love the pop cap that keeps the part you drink from protected! Very handy! Thank you so much for sharing, I love these videos and I look forward to your next video!❤
It's a fun concept but it does NOT keep cold. The ice melts instantly! Compared to the $10 bottles I get from the Korean grocery store, where the ice stays in there for 24+ hours! That was disappointing.
Hi, Cat! I'm baffled by the Stanley cup hype. Like you said, "It's a cup." I priced them on Amazon and depending on the color it's $45-$50 usd. That's just nuts. I'm not sure why we're all so worried about having water these days. I know I'm old, but I don't remember being obsessed with water growing up! Anyway, thanks for sharing. I'll look into the Owala if I find myself needing a water bottle.
i'm with you on this one - BUT - i will say that i first got the 30oz and loved it, so i bought a 40oz because more water right? and i cannot for the life of me get the lid off. it's too large so i cant get a grip (and add some arthritis!) either and my husband makes fun of me so he puts it on extra tight and has had trouble himself getting it back off! so i've been planning on selling it on poshmark since it's in really good condition and have just gone back to my 30oz. i had knock off yeti ones previously but all the paint was chipping off, and it didnt fit in my cup holders so i never took it with me. but the 30oz stanley does, and yes, you cant tip it over or it spills, but honestly i hardly leave the house except to go to work so my coworker bought me a knockoff one (hydro jug?) that i just keep there! so now i have my house stanley and my work one. but yes, $40 for a mug is still stupid but it made me declutter the old chipped ones so thats a plus right? haha
I thought about buying a Stanley before the Hype, when the Hype started it was a turn off for me so did not buy. I have a few Hello Kitty and love, some from days gone by and a few from now. Not into the trending, that is not me.
I don't think the Stanley cup is cute. I already have two metal insulated water bottles from Takeya that I love--they are 22 and 24 ounces, and frankly I've rarely been in a situation where I can't just refill. I don't need to carry a whole 40 ounces. I also have two smaller bottles from another brand. I will be staying off the Stanley bandwagon. (I mean, the whole point is to re-use the bottle and avoid single-use, while saving some money. Amassing a collection of Stanleys uses more resources and costs more money--why would I do that when I'm trying to use and spend less??) Oh, I should mention that all of these other water bottles were gifts. Good ones. Sturdy ones. Such that I am still using them years later (though I have replaced the gaskets on the Takeya because I'm too lazy to clean them every time, LOL)
I hear ya on this. I think we’ve forgotten the point of water bottles. I’ve seen reels of women who have 50+ Stanley’s! How can you afforded all of that!
I got a Stanley dupe, at a Christmas party Someone wanted it I gave it away I didn't want it because of straw, and I already got 2 hydroflasks with straws An only reason for metal bottles, is to keep water at stable temperature, and not sweat It's best to drink either cool, or water 21 degrees above body temperature Ice water goes right through 🚽
My niece (teenager) got a Stanley for Xmas. She says it leaks. I found similar design at Walmart. Ozark trail brand. I bought a dark purple color and it was $15!! Other colors are $20. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Teenagers love this cup for some reason- I don’t get it. There are so many other less expensive options available that do the same thing😊
Happy Saturday to you Cat! So nice to have a surprise video this evening. I saw your post on Instagram!
Yay! Thank you!❤️❤️❤️
Ahhh I’m so glad you shared this!! I’ve felt so out of the loop not having a Stanley - I feel like even all the elementary school girls have one 😂😂
😂😂😂
“Okay, enough with the stallin’s child..” 😂😂 I’m so glad I never bought one of these.
😂😂😂😊
You are so talented to be able to film a whole video on your lunch break. I could never do that teaching elementary heehee
😊 thank you, I try😊❤️
You are so right about the Owala! Received mine for Xmas from a friend at the gym and is a great bottle. It even made TIME’s most innovative items in 2023.
I can see why it did! It’s fabulous😊
Hydroflask is better and easier to carry...with straw
I was so over the obsession of the Stanley Cup, got one as a gift and I like it. I don’t travel with mine. It stays next to my bed on my nightstand. Perfect for when I’m watching tv or wake up and want a cool drink of water. LOVE my Owala water bottle!! I do travel with it and no leaks and it’s sanitary.
Owala for the win!! Love mine as well. Thanks for watching Sis!😊

Such wise and sage advice my friend! Thanks for being here :)
You are so full of joy 😊
😊🥰
You're awesome!! Love how real you are!
Thank you so much!! :)
❤ THANK YOU KAT ❤ I’m so happy for you saying it 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 I don’t understand why people are going crazy for that awful cups Thanks 🙏
Haha! Thanks for watching and for being here sweet friend!😁❤️
I never had one. I love my hydroflask I’ve had for years. Stanleys leak. No thank you.

Welcome sweet friend! So happy you’re here. Thanks for watching. Would also love to know what planners you got for 2025?😊
I have an Owala & it's awesome!!
Yay!! It’s the best and I love mine too. Great minds think alike😊
I love mine too. I got a double pack at Sam's club for.a great deal

The Owala is the best! I’ve heard great things about the Yeti, but have never owned one😊
I always thought they were entirely toooo big. I have plenty of cups that I use for my water and I’ve never paid over $15. Lol, “I can’t even open it to show you”😂
😂😂😂
You are right, that one is too big! Now I LOVE the Stanley Ice flow with the handles!! They don’t leak and are not heavy!!
Nice! Never heard of that one before 😊
Most social media crazes are NOT worth the hype. I have ONE hydro cell water bottle that is probably 5 years old. I don’t like the style with the skinnier bottom half either. It’s less stable.
I agree😊 appreciate your comment my friend!
Oh no! I love my cup! It’s big as heck but I love it. I got mine before the hype though. 😂😂😂😂
LOL! Yasss Sis! My friend said the same. She got hers years ago “before it was cool” lol! She loves hers too. I wonder if the quality changed as it got more popular?

Ty…I have no social media…I utilize TH-cam….your channel is awesome
Thanks so much sweet friend! Glad you’re here😊
I own a few 32oz and 40oz water bottles. I use them when I have to got to work mostly, so that I don't have to buy water when I get thirsty. As soon as I saw the design of it, I knew that it was impractical.
I've seen a ton of videos about how it leaks easily...even a basketball coach who complained about them being on the court.😅
Anything wet in a basketball court is never a good thing. They are impractical which is why I don’t understand the hype behind it😅
Totally agree, it’s heavy & the top is very hard to get off on the 40oz. I had to go down to 12oz
Oh I am so glad you said this! I thought it was just me 😂😂😂
That is my #1 problem. I can’t get the top off! I quit using it for that reason.
@jennb1566 that’s too bad. I thought I was the only one😊
My husband just bought me one, waiting for amazon to deliver it. I’m a cup person. I love my tic toc cup.
Awesome! I’m excited for you😊
You make me smile 😊
Thanks sweet friend😊❤️
Finally someone speaking truths!!! I am ashamed that I fell for the Stanley fomo also and it sits proudly in the cupboard 😂 bought a cheaper version from Amazon and love it. Doesn’t leak like the Stanley and isn’t hard to get lid off!!! Love your channel 💕
Right!! I had to do the same. Fell for the hype and it wasn’t right lol! Hope you’re doing well my friend!😊
Hi!😊 Thank you for always being so honest and up front with us! I’ve heard great things about Cirkul as well. I always appreciate your input always😊❤️❤️❤️
I see this thing all over social media and I wonder what all the craze is about?
Social media makes things trendy. It’s a decent cup, but I found others I like more😊
It's a fun concept but it does NOT keep cold. The ice melts instantly! Compared to the $10 bottles I get from the Korean grocery store, where the ice stays in there for 24+ hours! That was disappointing.
I got a similar one at Hobby Lobby for $10 it’s real nice
Nice! I love Hobby Lobby! Wish we had it in Canada😊

It's more expensive in Canada. Drinking water is important, but it shouldn't cost an arm and a leg to be hydrated...lol!

One way or another we will all learn not to jump on every little bandwagon 😂
So true Sis!!😊
Hello 👋, here watching ❤
Thanks for coming by Sis! I appreciate you😊
We hate ours abd never knew it was a thing. What's the big deal
Some “IT” girl on TikTok said we needed it and social media blow it up shortly thereafter. Lol!😊
I got a Stanley dupe, at a Christmas party
Someone wanted it
I gave it away
I didn't want it because of straw, and I already got 2 hydroflasks with straws
An only reason for metal bottles, is to keep water at stable temperature, and not sweat
It's best to drink either cool, or water 21 degrees above body temperature
Ice water goes right through 🚽
