I'm going to be honest, I am 12, almost 13, and I love God and Jesus, but Lust manages to be a problem either way. I feel ashamed of my thoughts sometimes but I know he will help me someday. I am certain I need to read the Bible to get closer and speak to him, but another problem is also wanting to play games more, and I know that's bad because I should put God over anything. I am also certain that he has given me multiple signs and warnings of other signs that I currently don't do anymore, but I still can't avoid that feeling, of "What if he isn't real?" which is why I desire so badly for him to speak to me, but I know that without overcoming my struggles. But I won't, but at the same time, I don't want to stop playing either. I recently come to stop making promises to him about Lust, since I kept breaking one, but hopefully this for the rest of this year that changes. I hope God blesses you and your family for giving out these messages
For a 12 year old you're already doing pretty dang good as a Christian man. To combat lust my best advice is to avoid any thought, even a thought of a thought that leads you to lust, and when you have them, turn to prayer and focus on Jesus immediately.
Me and my sister and brother prayed last night because we were caught in the crossfire of category 4 hurricane helene, we were so scared and we prayed, and then the next day when I wake up the first thing I see is this
