    hi, i don't speak english very well, i'm trying to read doctor brook taylor's book, but the book is in english, can you make a video explaining how he finds mp (measuring points) using plans and perspective (for two points escape).
    I already knew how to find the MPs, using the circles as shown in your video above, I would just like an explanation using the perpendicular plans. thank you.

    How did you know where to put the horizon line and the vanishing points? I dont get that

    • @iainrudkin8217
      @iainrudkin8217 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello -horizon line represents the eye level and really is dictated by what view you want of the object (imagine a camera lens) and the vanishing points are established by drawing parallel lines to the object from the Station Point SP and then projecting down to the horizon line. Best thing to do is watch my other videos on measured perspective and see the pattern that's followed for all the drawings. Hope that helps.

    • @iainrudkin8217
      @iainrudkin8217 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yup, if you are doing a drawing with specific sizes the there would often be a 'height line' projected down from the point that the plan intersects the picture plane. The elevation heights are projected on to the height line and subsequently taken to the vanishing points. On this drawing I didn't include specific sizes - maybe I should have :) Thanks for watching the video

    The problem here is you're not measuring anything. My teacher insists i measure. I don't understand how to do it, he's explained it to me in person 5 or more times and i still don't understand. I've been searching for a video that would explain for days, and i have a midterm project due in two days. So I suppose thanks for wasting my time by including measured in your title.

    • @kazuma00001
      @kazuma00001 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      yeah me too, i cried whilst im drawing this thing, the fact that i understand nothing the lecturer said. But apparently this guy explained lot more better than the 2 hours class, hopefully he will release more vids like this to help me with my grades lol.

    • @combatantezoteric2965
      @combatantezoteric2965 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That's because you can't think for yourself at all. He did measured his house. Otherwise how does he has the top view of the house drawn? The point of this video isn't to teach you how to measure something with the ruler, but how to use that measures in a two point perspective drawing. So basically you have to know your measures and to use them to construct the object in the upper part of the paper, then do everything he did in this video. Simple.
