EDIT -1 Year Later - I am fairly certain I've watched this video more than any other MT Guitar lesson...maybe more than any TH-cam video...I really need to write down the chords but what a beautiful lesson it is...worth soaking up over and over again (and it's not on Patreon - hint hint ;) )
No I did not, I have always played right handed. I know of some that have switched who did some things with their left hand and some with their right, and that it's not easy to switch. I'm also curious, is there something about my playing or posture that made you think I used to be left handed?
@@MTGuitar I've watched a couple of the videos from your older channel and I just thought you had played different handed maybe just the camera angle I guess, i was just curious because my cousin wanted to play but he cant play my guitar because it'd be upside down for him
@@jessecook6143 Ah I see, yes sometimes the camera doesn't flip the image and instead mirrors it, making it seem like I'm playing left handed. I see about your cousin, that was an issue for Paul McCartney as a left handed player, he actually wrote the Rolling Stones first hit, I wanna Be Your Man, playing a right handed guitar upside down to show them in a meeting with them in '63 I think. It's probably worth it for him to buy an inexpensive left handed acoustic guitar if he wants to learn properly.
I have one more request in this song th-cam.com/video/y6WnMuoZYOg/w-d-xo.html can you tell me the effect(s)that the lead uses to get that sound? I may be playing that soon and am not aware of this device or combination.
Hi Dave, so it sounds like a tremelo effect mostly. Look up tremelo pedals. There may be a very low volume whammy pedal as well with an octave up, can't really tell. Some gain is there, maybe a tube screamer or overdrive pedal of some sort. Also reverb. Hope that helps, and good luck with your performance.
