@DaemonOkami pretty sure he's aware. But it's also not 5 capacity always. It cuts the mod cost in half so if it's 10 , it would be 5, if it was 12 it'd be 6 and so on. It's always half but it's not a set number

I tried farming MP collector the other day and gave up for a bit. I started farming normal mode for freyna parts yesterday, first 2 runs I got MP collector and HP collector back to back. I almost fell out my chair.
Just a quick note. Some weapon mods have their drop place split by ammo type. The location for Concentration Priority given in the video is for the general rounds mod. You will need to farm elsewhere for the other ammo types. Special Rounds: White-night Gulch (Shipment Base)- Fortress Outskirts Impact Rounds: Vespers (The Ruins) - Ruins Underground Entrance High-Power Rounds: White-night Gulch (The Mountaintops) - Void Fusion Reactor; or Intercept Battle (Hard) - Executioner
Try swapping mental focus for real life fighter in void intercepts. 100 firearm atk without the loss of fire rate. Just gotta hit weakspots. No reason not to use it when the weak spots on bosses are huge. Great video!

I feel that mid-air hook is a crutch, honestly. It's easier as you don't need to keep track of nearby hook points (or use the ground) but at the cost of overall burst distance (compared to long range hook, which I prefer) and ability to get a big looping motion that rapidly procs bunny's shocks by turning your camera as you pull around. Also can cause issues grappling to boss body parts but with bosses starting to die in a few seconds that last one might not matter for long.
Thanks for taking the time and making the effort to make this video, this was by far the most informative and useful videos I’ve watched about First Descendant so again thank you 🙏🏻

If a card is type tagged (e.g. HP) is not influenced by its rarity, though the vast majority of purple are tagged and I believe all gold are tagged too. But you can very easily see, on your own example, a card can be blue and still have the "ATK" tag making it incompatible with any other like that.
Multi-maneuvering is underrated here, imo. If you time it correctly, you can actually squeeze 4 charges out of it, and in doing so you chain it together. You can climb pretty much everything, low cool down, etc. and if you have decent situational awareness you'll be able to grab onto walls, rocks, etc if you're paying attention. You can also jump once, hook to the ground, move yourself right or left and it will swing you outwards, and then you can jump again, rehook to the ground, repeat, and you will slingshot yourself around at a much faster pace than anything else. A good way to practice the mechanic is to finish an intercept mission and swing around to pick up 2-3 items at a time. It's also really helpful in quickly picking up health orbs, mp orbs, etc. and getting away from aoe on the ground. Just my two cents on the other maneuvering mod, that I personally enjoy. Edit: it's also great to pull yourself to downed teammates, have an extra charge in case you fall or need to grapple to the ground and land right next to a teammate. It saves valuable time when you have more than one downed teammate. More often than not, I'll see people just running towards downed teammates instead of using their grappling hook, which is way faster when you do it right. Twice the speed.
Are your recommendations for hard mode only ? Or is the same for normal ? Farmed for mid air mod for an hour at the reactor wondering if I have bad luck or on the wrong difficulty
Does your sub attack module matter other than what it attacks like? Like is there any advantage from punch to kick to sword other than what it looks like?

The mod drops are goofy as hell, after one of my friends told me about that mod, I tried farming the same mission as him for it and it wasn't dropping, I switched to the hagios normal mission deep digger to go for another mod and got the damn thing on the first try even though it wasn't even in the drop pool... I didn't get the mod I was actually farming the area for though.
So glad you're making videos for this game, been watching since tiny tinas wonderlands, and no one else seems to produce "quality" content for this game, it's all rushed and unfinished builds.
PSA ive noticed many people in reddit as well as myself that when farming gold mods in hard mode missions it (obviously) takes hours of farming to get it but then sone ppl including myself get the mod EXTREMELY QUICKLY when switching back to normal. Coincidence? Very possibly but i recommend farming normal missions if youre struggling just to see
One thing they should add is at least one module that grants shield recovery on skill use, or something along those lines. That would seriously encourage shield builds. There just is not enough means to maintain shields at this time.
Bunny kinda has one. One of her transcendent mods reduces how much electricity you build up while using her 2 but makes you gain shields at a fairly low rate lol not really worth running it. I tried it for a bit and it didn't seem to help too much outside of some colossi encounters where you could run to get shield back up and weren't using her other 3 skills much of at all.
I found farming mental focus from the void fragment in Sterile Lands to be much faster than ransacked village. You can use bunny as its an electricity type thingy.
I definitely feel the recoil at that high of a percentage on Controller with Action and Reaction but where I'm at in the game, I can even that back out with an Accuracy and Recoil module.
Hmm I think they need a replay function or a pathing function. What I mean by this is I’ve played and now I’m stuck on devour. So I have to look up videos to “farm” other mods and find specific things. I think it would be nice to pick I want to find A, B and C mods materials whatever and it will transport you between a playlist so that way you don’t get stuck farming rather you can play a playlist and have fun!
Thanks a lot for this mod video, since ive gone through all 10 i have so much more survivability and dps as i also like to play aggressive. Mid air maneuvering & hp amplification definitely took the longest to farm.
Great content, as always. The entire time I was watching, I kept hoping you would click on that mobbing tab so I could get a screenshot. Maybe you could make it a point to show each tab during the video? Love your show!
Man i strated playing this game just casually, i wass hook for the characters and gameplay, finished the story and was doing some hard mission. My characters are strong doing damage but weak taking bullets, i always tought the best thing was building shield and no man you are right, the best thing to do is going tanky with HP (defense also). Having said that now im planning to farm some builds. I purchase one character as a thanks for the game but honestly i can see mywself playing this game regularly.
What happens if I put a polarity in my sub slot.. will it double the amount given? I'm wanting to do this on my valby, but I'm really nervous that it will cut it to 5 given insteadof 20.@Moxsy
Theres a blue mod for all resistances on one, also i believe crit chance should be taken a look at in the indepth weapon/descendant stat screens, crit chance is multiplicative when ends up being a less return on investment compared if it were additive.
Do you have any duplicate mods that you ranked differently or have been able to sustain without. Videos are a great help watch everything you put out this game really got me hooked back into the technical side of gaming (played a lot of end game wow top in world)
This would have been a good video if you just talked about the mods, but you also told us where to get them so its 11/10 🤩 As a noob who just unlocked white night gulch it's good to know that I have already unlocked farming locations for some of the best mods in the game, and also why they are the best. 😀 Often times I find that "Equip recommended module" sets up a really bad build on my descendant and weapons and I have to manually pick the things I want to get my skill duration lower than its cooldown, get more survivability (not just def, def, def) and get my DPS up even though the weapon tooltip says my build has lower DPS than the recommended 🙄
Honestly not worth VS doing it to another slot. +5 is nothing compared to halving a module that costs 11+. Considering the scarcity of materials and the time it takes to research it's more ideal to leave that for last.
@RobvanBode can you explain again? didnt understand what Im supposed to be putting anywhere despite having already don all hardmode content lol. Can you use bunny as an example?
@@GenocideLv He's talking about using Catalyst to the "Sub Module" slot. Sub module mods (shock punch, shortsword, etc..) give you +10 capacity when fully upgrade, using catalyst to add a matching polarity (in this case, its "m" for all sub modules ) will give you 5 bonus capacity, so total of +15 capacity.
Holy moly, I had all but 2 of these mods. Mid-air maneuvering and front line. Gonna farm ‘em tomorrow and hopefully they’ll help with finishing wave 21 of swamp defense.
Hey Moxsy, I may have something for you to test out, the skill crit damage and rate mod does it affect your weapon as well with Gley, coz it increases the skill but with Gley you know it goes to her weapons but does it actually work, can you see if it does or not?
I played that mission for over four hours and have yet to get hp collector on hard for the 5% drop rate. Am I doing something wrong? Or am I just bad luck?
@Moxsy loving you videos thanks for making them. I am playing Viessa and wondering about the transcendent mod absolute zero. Have u farmed it and if so is it good?
hi! do you have a higher chance to get this mods after reachung level 100, or you can farm them while leveling? like is it dropping fro lover level mobs too?
I needed this. Up to the 3rd boss and my character is like a pee shooter with pretty good gear. But I didn’t know it was shards that upgraded mods. I thought it would be a resource so didn’t bother. I got like 100k shards I knew I had to upgrade a few things. But was trying to horde all my mats till hard mode.
I got mental focus really early while still in normal mode campaign and I'm wondering if it's good to use on anything besides LMG's since you won't be getting the full value and most of the time on SMG's or AR's you'll only get at most 30-40 stacks if you're constantly shooting and doing nothing else (which would promote poor gameplay and you'd run out of ammo before the buff becomes useful unless fighting a colossus).
Quick question are the 4 piece sets from special operations worth farming if I can't do hm void intercepts just yet ive read a couple of them and they dont seem to bad
I don't get what's great about Mental Focus. One stack lasts 2s right? How many stacks can you build in 2s with the Tamer? Not that many. Considering you basical also loose 10% dps from the fire rate drop i feel like it's not worth it. Or am i misunderstanding how it works?
Hey moxsy, just wanted to help you out with the whole modding system information, if you use a crystallization on your sub module slot you gain a total of 85 capacity instead of 80. In case you didnt already know. Thanks for the great content and information you put out in the community.
the skill crit rate seems to be nutty if you also get a reactor that has 30% skill crit rate on it. You can make most of your AOE attacks on bunny crits and those will oneshot elite mobs
The crit rate % mods and Crit from reactors are not flat Crit% increases. So, +30% crit on you mod or reactor is not 30% chance to crit. It increases your base chance to crit. Which depending on descendant ranges from 5-20% base crit chance on skills Bunny's base is 10%, so having +100% crit chance takes her to 20% skill crit chance.
Hince why most descendents its not worth fully investing into crit.. Typically the abilities that can tick for a lot of high base skill dmg are decent candidates for crit tho.. Trying to build crit on a single hit abilities can feel nice when you see that huge crit but the problem is cooldown/chance to crit will play a huge role in the rng/dps factor that you would of got more value from a higher non crit value in most cases.
In your opinion, which would be better to run: (attribute) Specialist or (attribute) Master if both are at say ~lvl 5? Due to my current build structure I'd have to sacrifice a mod (or reset) to gain more space. If I could I would definitely run it at a higher lvl, in which case I believe Master surpasses Specialist correct?
Been playing valby/freyna in the mid game with low cooldowns and mp collector and seems good but whats the lowest cooldowns you can get? Just with those two mods -62.5% is crazy
I just want to point something out about 3:00, this is not always true, for example the 'Technician' & 'Singular/etc Specialist' mods cannot be used together with 'Focus on Singular/etc', same goes for the blue mod 'Power Increase', doesn't work with the 'Electric/etc Master' or 'Focus on Electric/etc' mods. I haven't tested the HP/Def/Shield ones but that's quite a bit of 'Normal' tagged mods that don't work with purples.
Coming from warframe waiting till 1999 i have to say this game is actually pretty damn good despite most people complaining i honestly can't wait to see this game to evolve over time and get the warframe treatment in terms of gameplay
I yolo this game every time I log in and I have so many rare mods from doing random things with no aim. I’m stuck at the last boss (pubs are hard) so I just been doing literally anything and everything I see on these videos I have just not leveled up. I literally have no clue what’s going on but it’s a fun game
Hey guys will try make this short. Hard infiltration>hagios region>old mystery> there is a room where you need stand on 6 beacon timers. So just dont finish mission wait till last 30 second. A modding progression guide for early, mid and late game (pre end-game) would be phenomenal
One thing they should add is at least one module that grants shield recovery on skill use, or something along those lines. That would seriously encourage shield builds. There just is not enough means to maintain shields at this time.
There is one but it's pretty bad actually 😅
Bunny kinda has one. One of her transcendent mods reduces how much electricity you build up while using her 2 but makes you gain shields at a fairly low rate lol not really worth running it. I tried it for a bit and it didn't seem to help too much outside of some colossi encounters where you could run to get shield back up and weren't using her other 3 skills much of at all.
nah just add shields to pick up like we can pick up health
They need to add shild gating to, i don't see it happening at all or i'm dumb...
I found farming mental focus from the void fragment in Sterile Lands to be much faster than ransacked village. You can use bunny as its an electricity type thingy.
It also depends which ammo type you're looking for. For every weapon mod, each ammo class drops from a different place.
@@Eyllena It would help if they made it more clear which is which.
why giving Hp better than Shield on descendent? is shielding is that bad? out of Hp and Def which is better to build on?
i like shock punch just for dealing with shielded enemies
It increases it by 5
@@LucasKnagge for real?! Bummer! Thanks for saving me the headache of testing it myself lol
Theres a blue mod for all resistances on one, also i believe crit chance should be taken a look at in the indepth weapon/descendant stat screens, crit chance is multiplicative when ends up being a less return on investment compared if it were additive.
Pro tip here : you can put a symbol on your melee weapon and it gives you +5 points :)
Do you have any duplicate mods that you ranked differently or have been able to sustain without.
Videos are a great help watch everything you put out this game really got me hooked back into the technical side of gaming (played a lot of end game wow top in world)
How much does module drop rate effect from external components affects the acquisition chance? is it worth it for better farming or just meh?
40 hours in and didnt realize specific mods dropped from missions, good to know haha
This would have been a good video if you just talked about the mods, but you also told us where to get them so its 11/10 🤩
As a noob who just unlocked white night gulch it's good to know that I have already unlocked farming locations for some of the best mods in the game, and also why they are the best. 😀
Often times I find that "Equip recommended module" sets up a really bad build on my descendant and weapons and I have to manually pick the things I want to get my skill duration lower than its cooldown, get more survivability (not just def, def, def) and get my DPS up even though the weapon tooltip says my build has lower DPS than the recommended 🙄
i like shock punch a lot tho, especially with the mobs that carry big shields, shock punch works nicely on them
You know if you add a matching mod socket to your first descendant slot (the sub module slot) it increases your capacity by an additional 5.
Honestly not worth VS doing it to another slot. +5 is nothing compared to halving a module that costs 11+. Considering the scarcity of materials and the time it takes to research it's more ideal to leave that for last.
@@duskyer agree i was kinda salty after but it might get buffed down the road cause there is no reason to get less benefit there
More value if you use catalysts on other slots first though.
Max HP for example frees up 8 points.
@RobvanBode can you explain again? didnt understand what Im supposed to be putting anywhere despite having already don all hardmode content lol. Can you use bunny as an example?
@@GenocideLv He's talking about using Catalyst to the "Sub Module" slot. Sub module mods (shock punch, shortsword, etc..) give you +10 capacity when fully upgrade, using catalyst to add a matching polarity (in this case, its "m" for all sub modules ) will give you 5 bonus capacity, so total of +15 capacity.
for mental focus you can do the mission abandoned village in vesper it takes like 2-3 mins
Lvl. doesn't matter I was being hard carried by a couple friends in hard mode and got a couple red mods.
Can you prestige a descendant multiple times, and if so, does it u lock another module polarity slot each time?
I have always enjoyed your videos, ever since Bl3 and possibly before. You are my go-to with this game now as well.
Thank you.
Glad to see he is using Tamer, i love that gun.
Best channel for information on this game.
Im at the vulgus strategic outpost and the hp collector is no longer a main reward. Can i still get it there?
Quick question are the 4 piece sets from special operations worth farming if I can't do hm void intercepts just yet ive read a couple of them and they dont seem to bad
Is there an enzo build coming or one you would recommend?
Have you done any runs with the Calvery rifle, its unique skill seems like it would be great for boss enemies
I don't get what's great about Mental Focus. One stack lasts 2s right? How many stacks can you build in 2s with the Tamer? Not that many. Considering you basical also loose 10% dps from the fire rate drop i feel like it's not worth it. Or am i misunderstanding how it works?
I was thinking this too. It says up to 150 stacks. How am I going to max it out and get 150 stacks if I lose a stack every 2s
Hey moxsy, just wanted to help you out with the whole modding system information, if you use a crystallization on your sub module slot you gain a total of 85 capacity instead of 80. In case you didnt already know. Thanks for the great content and information you put out in the community.
Its one of the last things you'd want to do anyway, it's low on the list
Why are there so many morrons that think +5 on that is better than the +8 you gain from crystallizing ANY OTHER SLOT. Seriously, go back to school.
@@drdickenbalz it's not about order more of just letting him know it's an option you can do
@@bankusmotius3667 agreed, the main point was to inform that it's a possibility
Can get an additional 5 module points by putting a M mod in sub socket, goes from+10 to+15
I've got a question. How difficult is hard mode exactly? I just unlocked it.
Non related question but what is that buddy skin u got on? Mainly just like the mask.
Hey man I love your vids
How do you get Sharen? been at it for a few days & no luck!
the skill crit rate seems to be nutty if you also get a reactor that has 30% skill crit rate on it. You can make most of your AOE attacks on bunny crits and those will oneshot elite mobs
FYI: going over 100% skill crit rate breaks it. At 100%+ skill crit rate, instead of writing all the time you'll crit at the rate over the 100%
@@AMoralManwait seriously?
The crit rate % mods and Crit from reactors are not flat Crit% increases. So, +30% crit on you mod or reactor is not 30% chance to crit. It increases your base chance to crit. Which depending on descendant ranges from 5-20% base crit chance on skills
Bunny's base is 10%, so having +100% crit chance takes her to 20% skill crit chance.
Hince why most descendents its not worth fully investing into crit.. Typically the abilities that can tick for a lot of high base skill dmg are decent candidates for crit tho.. Trying to build crit on a single hit abilities can feel nice when you see that huge crit but the problem is cooldown/chance to crit will play a huge role in the rng/dps factor that you would of got more value from a higher non crit value in most cases.
stop talking shit.
In your opinion, which would be better to run: (attribute) Specialist or (attribute) Master if both are at say ~lvl 5?
Due to my current build structure I'd have to sacrifice a mod (or reset) to gain more space. If I could I would definitely run it at a higher lvl, in which case I believe Master surpasses Specialist correct?
front lines/skill crit worth it for Freyna?
Do you think technician is better or using eg. Focus on toxic etc
Dependes in the skill scale that u want to boost
you are the best The First Descendant instructer
Watched half of the video and already totally sold. Thanks for the content. Exactly what I was looking for.
Your videos are super helpful, thanks man.
Very helpful, thanks!
Saaame!
I swear since borderlands his intro 'yo guys whats up...' has gotten faster and faster lol
Hey guys will try make this short. Hard infiltration>hagios region>old mystery> there is a room where you need stand on 6 beacon timers. So just dont finish mission wait till last 30 second. Because elites keeps on spawning who drops essential materials for energy activator plius you farm points for that 2x score on amorphous material. Hope this will help someone. Feel free to make a video on this
hey, are elemental mods any good on weapons? like electric enhancement ^^
Too bad drop rate percentages are complete BS. But great video, none the less. Thank you.
