Very nice project Pete if I do you it will have no chance of coming in the house but that’s what a man cave is for , also I love watching the little men in those boats
Nice final resting place for "Ole Betsy", Pete. She surely gave you many many thrills, not to mention the uncountable adrenalin rushes. She matches up well with the silver creek in a perfect environment.
I was going to say it's going to look great on the wall of your new bedroom...in the garage. 😂 If only you'd known, you could have had a couple of those mounts looking down at Bessie, like "What the...?" P5's new rig is awesome.
Did i just count 9 kayaks in your garage??? Wow, i only want 1, horses for courses i believe!? Me personally I think I would have the garage attached to the house, you have some great and expensive gear in there, and I would want to know if there were some late night visitors looking for a free kayak or two! Not really a hunter myself, but did you shoot all those deer in that room, cause thats a pretty impressive collection you have there!
You make math look so easy. I was hoping you'd throw some geometry on us. Super cool project for the man cave. I'd like to know what happened to the other half of the kayak.
Always love when the carpentry skills come out. I still haven't been approved to put my 1st archery buck upstairs yet. Hoping I'll have an elk mount to go with it soon, then they'll have to come upstairs.
So Liquid Logic/Jefe fanboys across the world are mourning the loss. I've heard a lot of people over the 5 years or so I've been into kayaking talk highly lf the Jefe. It definitely appears on the surface, at least for true whitewater boats, that you are a member of team Liquid Logic. What is your opinion of them downsizing R&D and in the process losing Pat Keller? I've been able to paddle Goshen Pass several times here recently. The guy that usually sets it up, is a C1 paddler, and he's paddling an Alpha 90 now and seems to really like it. He is team LL too though, paddled a Delta V 88 before that. I did end up picking up a Jackson Nirvana. I definitely like it more than the Zen 2. It seems to just punch through anything, has great primary stability, carries speed with ease, and boofs really well.
I am not officially affiliated with any kayak company. I have just liked the LL. boats and outfitting over the years. The plastic is really good as well. I have had issues with weak plastic tearing near the seat bolts in one particular brand that you will not see me paddle. I like the Jacksons, though the plastic is not as strong. I like Wavesport but have never gelled with any of their boats. Dagger seems pretty good as well. Basically, I have paddled jefes for creeking for about 15 years now. There are tons of newer designs that can do some neat things. The jefe is super forgiving and predictable. It is a boat that will take care of you. It is not a fast boat, so you sometimes lose some performance in bigger water or in areas requiring speed such as hole skipping. I am looking for an Alpha to try out as well. As far as the R&D and losing Keller, I hate to hear it. I have been and continue to be a giant Keller fan. The Nirvana was a sweet ride (demo'ed Kyle's at the Boilin Hole).
P5's ride is getting sweeter & sweeter!
Loving the wall art! Reminds me of my boatshelf in the Ag Shop office!
Thanks Brad! It came out nice!
@@RiverKingsKayak I showed it to my wife and she said, "Only in your office!" LOL! But my office already has too much junk on the walls!
a nice change of pace- good to see the improvements to the kayak. Pretty impressive collection of buck mounts
thanks Ujeb08!

Thanks PALS! I hear ya! Im lucky I have this room!
Whats the old saying it's better to ask for forgiveness than permission. It really looks cool Pete.
I am very familiar with this one!! LOL. Thanks DD!
Love it. Hope the wife was OK with it. Just awesome.
It did not make the Living Room wall...but it looks great here in the man cave! Thanks Jim!
I was going to say you could turn it into a bed side table lamp, not sure how the wife would feel about it though 🤣 love from Aus mate!
Right on Mok!
Art, for sure. I teared up a bit, and I was just watching...

I was hiding the calculator for those crazy difficult parts...I still have the other half...unsure on its fate...
Awesome idea! You didn’t want to cut the outrigging in half too?
I thought about that, but I can possibly put that in other boats later as nothing is wrong with it. Thanks mattcm32!

Right on!!! Get that man-card stamped!!
We should get together and go kayaking some time. Been trying to join groups but with this corona ain't working out too well. I'm from burlington NC.
Sounds like a plan Logan. Send me a message on FB so I can be in touch.
