I never feel you wast my time, and I never have the feeling of "come on, cut here and get on." I have ten thumbs myself, but I like to watch people who can show me good craftsmanship. I make TV for my real job but I love watching real life people like yourselves talk and do everyday stuff. You guys have great personalities and just fun to watch! I would love to see you two just banter while you build things around your house even if it was just the raw footage. lol. I know you’re in your thirties but it feels like watching 5 year olds having fun in a park and it’s just so wholesome to watch you two😂 I like have no desire to live off grid or travel in a van but I just love your personalities and chemistry. I remember you four driving back from Guatemala, after staying at someone's farm? It seemed like you GUNNED it back, from this end it appeared someone had a lead foot!! I assumed (what do I know?) that you guys had made it - as far as making money via TH-cam at that point. I loved the Canadia (yes, I spelled that how I wanted to) vlogs. OMG! Then watching what two girls who admitted they knew nothing about what they taking on did the most incredible things that I as a former renovator all my life would find challenging, was so fascinating! Awesome video. I think these chats are better when you guys are talking on the same screen, not jumping back and forth to show only one of you in each shot. Also when Jaz started talking equipment and the book that started your journey, she dropped into using abbreviations on most of the equipment and did not put out the book name or author. So it works out that you are giving out good information but cutting it snort by using terms that most of us are not familiar with. Please expand your equipment list into full terms for all of us to know exactly what equipment you were or are using. I dearly love to watch your videos, they are always very interesting.

This is exactly what I needed to hear. I'm exactly at that crossroads moment. I just got fired from my camphost job and I was thinking I could do TH-cam at the same time and felt like I was losing sight of the dream while I was doing the job. So I've got a little money in the bank and a monetized channel that just needs to be resurrected and for me to go all in on it. So you're story just adds to what I've been feeling too. I just can't bring myself to take another job on the side. I just want to do this

It's so nice to listen to you both talking about this journey you're on with so much passion. I came to your channel during the pandemic. Being in Australia, in strict lockdown, youtube travel vlogs became such an escape. It's so beautiful to see the world through the eyes of others. Once you moved to the cabin, watching you both learn every week, and seeing the vision you have slowly coming to life, has been absolute soul food. The quality of your videos is constantly improving but even without that, it's your ability to tell a story that keeps me coming back. Like the TV shows of old, I look forward to the weekly episode. As someone who has been with you since almost the beginning, it was fun to reminisce. Ok, now you have to make a video about your down time😂. Hardly an episode where Crystal took lead. Podcast advice, minimize the cross-talk and interruptions. Kinda the podcast equivalent of learning to look into the camera. 10 episodes and it’s still a pleasant surprise to see your faces pop up on a Wednesday.

I can’t begin to name everything in vlog that I loved, but I will name one: early on, you talked about cutting a vlog from 13 minutes down to two or three because”who would want to watch us for 13 minutes “. Absolutely agree with your statement that it is "personality that carries the video" ... even with great footage. If a person comes off as "forced" or "fake", then (for me anyway) I soon turn it off. You both come through as just genuine. It is what keeps me coming back. And I do understand that getting to the place of being comfortable in front of the camera is a process - but getting to the point of being genuine, does carry the video(even with "mistakes".) I have a recording of my husband voice from his job and every time I really wish I could here his voice I go and listen to that. He died Dec 4, 2011 and I miss him soon much. 😢
It's so nice to listen to you both talking about this journey you're on with so much passion. I came to your channel during the pandemic. Being in Australia, in strict lockdown, youtube travel vlogs became such an escape. It's so beautiful to see the world through the eyes of others.
Once you moved to the cabin, watching you both learn every week, and seeing the vision you have slowly coming to life, has been absolute soul food.
The quality of your videos is constantly improving but even without that, it's your ability to tell a story that keeps me coming back. Like the TV shows of old, I look forward to the weekly episode.
(Honestly, your costars don't hurt either. Bella and Issy are the most beautiful girls)

I've been watching, and loving, your vlog since you were traveling just before the pandemic hit. I'm insane in love with Tyler and Todd. Also love Max and Occy, and sadly missed most of Lee. Are you friends with Aemon and Bec, Raya and Louis, Kara and Nate? I follow all of them but never hear any of you mention the others. I also wonder what happened to Colin and Paige. Glad to hear Colin is your editor. He's awesome. Love the shots Colin took of the two of you when he traveled with you. I am now loving your podcast. Great to see you twice a week.

As someone who has been with you since almost the beginning, it was fun to reminisce. Ok, now you have to make a video about your down time😂. Hardly an episode where Crystal took lead. Podcast advice, minimize the cross-talk and interruptions. Kinda the podcast equivalent of learning to look into the camera. 10 episodes and it’s still a pleasant surprise to see your faces pop up on a Wednesday.
As usual, you two were fun, funny, inspirational and open with and for us. Thanks you for that.
I can’t begin to name everything in vlog that I loved, but I will name one: early on, you talked about cutting a vlog from 13 minutes down to two or three because”who would want to watch us for 13 minutes “.

I remember your first video on TH-cam introducing yourselves. I made a comment you will do great. Your videos are amazing to me. When you mentioned Max and Lee I became choked up. Unfortunately, technology exceled after my family died. I enjoy watching your podcasts. Lee always shared the pie are epic words. P.S. I am camera shy, I would never be able to take a video of myself. Your personalities are charming. I enjoy watching you do your magic on your property. When I grew up, women did not have options and were told we could either be a housewife or be a teacher or nurse, not a abundance of opportunities.
Absolutely agree with your statement that it is "personality that carries the video" ... even with great footage. If a person comes off as "forced" or "fake", then (for me anyway) I soon turn it off. You both come through as just genuine. It is what keeps me coming back. And I do understand that getting to the place of being comfortable in front of the camera is a process - but getting to the point of being genuine, does carry the video(even with "mistakes".) Love you ladies. Thanks for what you do.
