Thank you so much for clearing up the confusing "home position" setting. I had totally screwed up the hands of my watch and couldn't fix them until I found your video! You have saved a lot of people hours of frustration.
If only you knew how long I've been looking for a nice detailed review of the interval training capabilities of any smartwatch. It seems almost nobody does this, I don't know why. Thank you!
You're the only one who does detailed review in every g-shock watch. Having a hard time which one to get, the analog version or the full digital (cheaper) version of this watch they both look good anyway.
The integration to smartphones makes these Gshock settings easy. I hope casio will step up now and incorporate all of their gshocks to a phone at least for the settings :) btw thanks! another great video ;)
Nice and thorough review again. Wish I saw this one a little earlier as I had a 25% Casio coupon code that ended at midnight. Didn’t think I needed a new Casio, but you just proved me wrong:-)
Great tutorial - ordered this model watch, getting it this week. I like the functionality of using BT and the app, to supplement ease of use of watch settings. The watch can be used independently of an app, which increases it's usability lifespan, no need to software updates or becoming obsolete. Just swap out batteries and this could be a watch that one can use for many years (I hope!).
Got my watch today. The watch tutorial, plus this app tutorial, are very helpful! I feel the app helps to visualize how to use the functions of the watch, but using the watch isn't dependent on the app, which I like. If the app disappears tomorrow, the watch will still function just fine. I do like the in-app tutorial, showing how to use various functions in the watch - that aspect was very good.
Great to see the app works effectively. You're right it is easier to set the time from the app than manually. Also, great to see the Huawei phone work wonderfully. 📱 👌
I lent it from the inventory of the company I work for. It was bought for "just in case" situations and since my old HTC is all cracked and pretty slow they offered me this as a replacement earlier today so it will probably end up with me 😜
All this settings will be another incentive to exercising...super in-depth as usual! Can’t thank enough! ...and I second the idea of a review of the new Rangeman( although I think it will be to big for you to keep...)
Great Review! I just ordered this watch in navy blue. I was going to get a regular G-Shock until I ran across your videos. This thing is cool. I like the phone finder feature too that will come in handy!
@@roythano3818 hear the bigger judgment, I got a $600+ tissot for x-mas. The only thing I'm thinking is, I could've gotten like 3 more dope G-SHOCKS 🥺 Love me a G-SHOCK
Quick trick tip when you press 'slider' buttons on the phone for toggling things on and of don't use sliding motion just press on it as you would on a normal button. Had the same problem it used to annoy me alot.
First of all, thanks for the tutorial. I'm only interested in whether I can see the map in the application only if I had a phone and watch connected via bluetooth during some activity or if something is wrong with my application. I get all the data, but I don't have a view of the map where I went. Thanks again and greetings from Croatia
I just recently bought this watch and wanted to learn about its functions. I found your videos extremely helpful! But I wanted to ask, does your step tracker ever mistake your driving for steps? I drive and do a lot of walking for work and I honestly don’t know what my average daily steps look like but after using the watch for the first time at work my final steps were 13834 and I’m not sure if the watch was tracking my steps or got confused with my driving or a mix of both. Anyway just curious if you or anyone else has the same issues.
Sir, if i turned off the the "location" on my phone, it can't find the phone. This mean that i need to always turn on both bluetooth and location all the times? I mean it drains a lot of battery.
Hi, These videos confirmed my decision to buy, however, it's the digital face version I'm considering, I presume there's not much difference?, although I might still get this version you have demonstrated. One of the best demo TH-cam videos I've seen.
Hey, so there is no tracking, as it says the app, and the I guess manual too? there is no "3d tracking of the user" when walking? Or maybe there is but it's on the phone so it's not watch connected, but indirectly. ?
We have the watch connected to the app and can't get the hands to show the correct time. The digital time is correct. Any suggestions to get the hands to adjust?
Nice tutorial. Did you also have problems with synchronizing the steps with the app? Steps are incorrect displayed in app...hope they gonna fix this...
Hi Watch Geek. I followed your steps exactly in minute 2:30 and 11:50, the watch hand messed up even after i send settings to the watch. Is there anything else I can do? Thanks
Long time subscriber Thanks for putting out this video. I prefer old school analog dive watches but have to wear my Apple Watch to get insurance discounts through work. I am very interested in this watch. Do you know of this syncs with Apple Health or Apple Activity?
Hi mate greetings from the Netherlands. Great tutorial! Is it possible to assign buttons to control music on Android as such: volume / pause / play / skip / previous track
Hello. Thanks for review. I've bought this wacth and hope there is a way to use an anti lost function. I mean if it is possible to make the watch play a sound if it looses connection with the phone. Just now to leave the phone anywhere and lose it. Thanks
Need to pairing (on bluetooth)to know where we go from point to point(map)?or just go anywhere(not pairing) then after pairing to phone...data from watch sync to phone?tq
As long as you have the app on the phone and have location services on for the app, you don't have to have the watch paired, but once you pair it will transfer the data when it comes to paces and the map data uses your phone to see where exactly you walked
Once you do the pairing and the updated time is transferred to the watch will it still stay at that time even with your phone off or will it change back to the previous time before the transfer?
Can you please tell how much time it takes the watch to upload logs and step tracking data to app? does it do automatically or we have to do it manually?if manual then how to do it? Please help
So.. I have the gshock 800, digital version.. and after I got it initially set up, the bluetooth won't connect anymore, even with my bluetooth on my smartphone is on.. any ideas??
Am I correct in assuming that if my phone is Say charging in my office, the watch still keeps Track of my steps and updates the map and info once the Watch connects to the Phone?

Is it possible to stay at manual set time without correcting when sync to phone ? I like to set the time 10 mins ahead but everytime I connect to phone, to watch corrected and follow the time in phone
Nope, you can set it up and not allow it to pair, because whenever it pairs it corrects the time, that's the whole point of the conectivity, to always have accurate time
Awesome tutorial! I found some German tutorials and they say that the watch measures not only number of steps, but also running tempo. However you didn't mention anything about this. Can you confirm that the watch measures the tempo (intensity)? Hvala puno!
The only thing I noticed when it comes to intensity is the number of steps for each hour, so the higher the number the higher the intensity, but I didn't notice the watch make a difference between walking and running steps
I just got this watch as a gift from my father and i love it so much
Congrats on a very nice watch
