I’ve actually not minded Melissa from the start. Everyone didn’t like her but tbh I just thought she was trying to get as many opportunities for her kids.
But she went as far as throwing the moms under the bus and hurting the girls. For instance, she called the girls disrespectful and lied about chloe rolling her eyes in class just so maddie can have a solo or even the time melissa and abby lied that there would be no other duet but Chloe and Paige's but sure enough Abby entered Maddie and Kalani's duet and took away Chloe and Paige's win (They got 2nd place and Maddie's duet got 1st place). Don't get me wrong, Melissa is smart to get as many opportunities for her kids and I would do that but I wouldn't take opportunities from other people or opportunities that will hurt kids. That's not ok.

Those producers are the reason why about 80% of the bad things happened on the show. They egg on cast to to do certain things, manipulate and edit scenes, etc... Melissa is not a bad person, nor did she take opportunities away from the other girls. And some of stuff that Melissa said wasn’t even half as bad as the stuff Christi said. And Melissa didn’t even want Maddie to compete Two Sapphires, that was Abby and the producers. She wanted the best for daughters and I think it was smart to put her daughters careers first. Melissa and her daughters suffered just as much as the other cast members on that show,
