She didn't want it and she told producers that. She's a choreographer and she's just there to do her job and get out is how she put it. Though, I wish they showed more of her; Gianna isn't the television drama that works for the show. Producers wanted the tv magic of fighting. Gianna said when she was Abby's student the Mom's were much worse than the ones fighting on the show.
Firstly, I LOVE listening Abby’s account cos even though the show made her look a certain way she doesn’t let bitterness or anger come through when she’s explaining her perspective compared to the moms. Also, the moms said the same thing about being miked and the producers listening the whole time using that information to push their storylines and aggravate them. They’d listen to them talking to their husbands or about them or something personal and then use that to drive the stories.
I’m so glad that you explained the story about the incorrect scores at nationals between Chloe and Maddie! The producers made that look like you marched up to the judges to ask before even seeing the scores but I knew that wasn’t the full story. I love how you always keep it real, Abby! 💕
But if they never looked st the score sheet but Suddenly to set it to look at that one that mean they wanted to change the score even if Cloe had won, Abby did say she never wanted Cloe to win. They are just making them selves not to be the bad people

My mom made me watch a few episodes and I was addicted. You definitely cannot baby anyone. You are preparing them for their future. The phrase I borrowed from you a few times... The Waiting Room was season 5 nationals and I agree, I think it was fixed. Not only was The Waiting Room beautiful, but Maddie’s solo was stunning, absolutely gorgeous, and Ava got first, Maddie second. You were robbed!
Here’s a question that I’m trying to find answers to - what is the difference between a competition dance studio and a ballet studio? Other than the number and kinds of classes offered, of course. Is there a difference between “competition kids” and “ballet kids”?
Many ballet kids go on to become professionals and go to dance school. Whereas most competition kids don't do much with dance after they graduate high school, if they stay in dance that long.
I would sing in in eisteddfod competitions here in Australia and so many things that you have spoken about in this video is sooooo true. Thanks for putting this video chat up, great work.
Am I the only one that picked up on the fact that the producers were saying the show was getting boring because of the team having the big winning streak and then the 2nd week that Abby wasn't there there was also the week right before the select team came which would have made drama for the show.
I'm sure there's a clause somewhere that Abby can't have another dance show for X number of years or some network nonsense like that... but I'd really love to see Abby with another dance show, a netflix deal even.
I’m a 39yr old mom of a 16yr old girl who is a cheerleader. I wish I would have put her in dance, both are great sports but she could have gone so much further with dance!
Miss abby because she does not do the ninth season of dance moms again all fans around the world look forward to the next season no matter with new cast or new mothers but it would be nice to realize the 9 season either in Los Angeles or in Pittsburgh but let the season be longer please

Season 4 was the LEAST boring season with the winning streak, that's the only season I've watched multiple times, such good routines.

I think the reason the moms were mad because of the error was because you said the issue came to you, but you were the one who told the judges
