Aizen's long deception is quite the jarring aspect of his character. He was essentially a different person and gave no indications of who he actually was until the day he defected. Yeah Soul Society as a whole, a very dark shade of gray with some Shinigami truly trying to do good while others are just among the worst. With some modern military hardware one can possibly stand a chance against either Hollow or Shinigami, especially if if they can be seen with normal sight.

@@troytheboy1985Well, we have teenagers in an organization exorcising ghosts for starter. There are certain similarities in design of said ghosts, that's the second (I means... Hanami, Rika, Finger Bearers, Vengeful Spirit Naoya, etc. would straight up fit in Bleach's world without any problems). Naoya straight up have an Arrancar moment, Sukuna literally wearing a half Hollow Mask. We also have High School Punk Heroes type characters (Itadori, Ichigo and Megumi), MCs who have severe survivor's guilt, who were suicidal during early arcs, only stop being suicidal after being motivated by responsibility to save people, have no typical Shounen goal, but simply want to save people around them. They also have inner demons who looks exactly like them. Goofy (and arrogant) mentors with unorthodox training methods for MCs, who like messing around and making funny faces, who are also deceptively powerful fighters who can easily protect the protagonist, -but choose not to- , putting the MCs in mortal dangers many times. A deceitful villian who was believed to came back from death, who experimented to create half-ghost super soilder, and have hands in MC's birth as a half-ghost.
Gege Akutami also openly named Tite Kubo's Bleach manga, among others, as a major source of inspiration when writing Jujutsu Kaisen, and once straight up said that Zaraki was the inspiration for Todo, and encouraged JJK fans to read Bleach.

Don't sleep on Hanataro, even though he's a dork he's still a seated officer, which puts him in like the top 10% of all shinigami, At the very least he could probably heal himself until you pass out from exhaustion

Fun fact about Hanataro, in the original draft in Kubo's head was that instead of Aizen being the secret villian it was Hanataro. Just wanted to share that fun fact!

Consider watching bleach thousand year blood war anime seriously. Because Kubo has added some additional stuffs which will make it more satisfying than manga. Plus animation, sound effects and story is really very good. It deserves a serious watch. Kubo is very much involved in anime adaptation of The Thousand Year Blood War arc anime adaptation. And intense moments really feel effective in anime.
If you really watch that arc seriously, I will prefer watching in sub which will be difficult to do because by that time you would have watched all Bleach episodes before TYBW arc only in dub.

@@agamotto5354 Yeah I really want to finish the original AG book & need to read AB. The AG show is amazing holds up well i would say it’s just that there’s a noticeable shift in tone sadly after S2

I'd be kind of curious, if you've noticed any impact from Bleach on newer shonen anime, now that you are more familiar with Bleach?
As someone else said Jujutsu Kaisen has some notable parallels and the mangaka even notes it as an influence on his work.

@agamotto5354 you really should they're amazing and add so much to the lore and story of characters you don't always see in the main manga, the main novels are Spirits Are Forever With You (SAFWY) which has 2 volumes, but doesn't have an official English translation but you can most definitely find good ones online, the other one is Can't Fear Your own World (CFYOW) which is AMAZING and a very good read, this one does have an official translation of all 3 volumes and you can buy them physical, however the way I read them both was free from a reddit post I found haha
Just make sure to read them after the manga
