Part 1: • Michael Franzese on Ho...
    --------
In this clip, Michael Franzese revisits a sit down that he had with Sammy the Bull back in 2021 on PBD Podcast. He explains that the reason why things got so heated between him and Sammy the Bull is because Sammy believes that he corroborated with the feds, while Franzese maintains the argument that because he never put anyone in jail, so he shouldn't be blamed too harshly. From there, Franzese talks about the fact that other people associated with the mob, who worked with the feds always like to bring his name up as an example of someone else who allegedly "ratted" on others. Lastly, he states for the record that he and Sammy the Bull are really good friends and why.

If you cooperated your a snitch there’s no line between the two the rules are set you don’t say a word and with the mafia it’s even deeper because they are under omertà and aren’t supposed to speak a word of what happens after. He didn’t give up anyone else, only gave info on himself and I can respect that because he coulda kept all of his millions by snitching & getting others locked up and he chose not to. If anything I have alot more respect for what he did because it was very tactful and hard to pull off. Salute to him.

Cooperating is snitching because you are cooperating with the police and the police only want information to put people in jail. Something society to learn from. Enough of the safe spaces and learn how to talk to one another. Don't just label someone an extremists just because you disagree. That's the opposite of trying to understand when you label someone extreme, you purposely push them away to be able to shun and dismiss. Not the way we should be operating as a society. I've practiced all over the U.S. When the Federal Sentencing Guidelines became the law in 1987 cooperation started to become more common. Sitting down with the prosecution and truthfully debriefing can make the difference between a ten year sentence or a life time sentence.
Today it is the common practice in certain types of cases.
It is an intelligence gathering procedure by the Government. It does not mean that the defendant agrees to testify against others.

They weren't the same as when Paul and Neil were in charge. Sammy was being hunted down he never mentions it but he was ducking Little Al D'Arco's hit teams all over the place. He used to dip out back doors. Michael rose to Captain because his boss appointed him to the position through EARNING IT. Michael deserved to be promoted whereas Sammy had to break rules to advance. Secondly, Michael made more in a month than Sammy made in his entire life on the street. Michael was never being hunted by two of the three crime families like Sammy was. Who's more successful in your eyes? An Underboss who's being hunted by the real powers on the Commission or a Captain in good standing who's making more in a week than that Underboss is making a year. Honestly you think that Underboss position was worth the same thing it was when Neil held the position? It was worth NOTHING when Sammy had it cause they didn't earn it. They broke the rules and killed their boss. Michael never had to kill a bunch of his childhood friends or crew, never killed an innocent 17 year old kid, never killed his brother in law, never killed his boss and yet Michael was still 100x more successful in business and in the mob than Sammy ever was. I'd rather be a Captain in high regards among all five families making MILLIONS a week rather than an "Underboss" of the family being hunted down to be killed cause I broke one of the biggest rules there is. I always thought part of being a Christian, which he claims and probably believes, he is would also entail the prevention of harm to someone else. He knows that those he did not put behind bars would without a reasonable doubt hurt someone else once their trials were complete. I know not snitching on people is supposed to be admirable and I understand that and the loyalty of it is also in me. But if you can prevent a harm and you don't by Christianity you have committed a sin. In Christianity you are your brother's keeper. I know the argument but what if he didn't do something like that again, and dismiss it as the weak prevaricating it is. In his situation to rat on others would have been the Christian thing to do.
