My favourite summer tactic has to be surface fishing. Frustrating at times but very rewarding when you get one. Great effort you put in, that’s why it’s called not catching loads every time. Proper real fishing video! Well done avid guys. Need more realistic videos like this out there!
Best summer tactic for me is stalking close in and personal, watching them come in and feed and move off the spots, plus it has to be getting mega frustrated with surface fishing. 😂😂😂🎣🎣🎣 another great video from Avid..👌
My favourite summer tactic is surface fishing. Although I don't have much success with it. You can't beat the excitement though of watching the carp taking down your bait. Love it
I’ve never really fished properly befor but this summer I have got out my rod and I have been aging everyday for the past 4 weeks and I’ve been looking for a carp rod and this giverway is perfect timeing as I have been carp fishing on my mates rod for the past 3 weeks
Really enjoyed the video, cheers Tom and Avid. Favourite summer tactics, walking, finding fish , watching fish , especially close, where you can get some free bait to them and spend time watching them feed. Just love watching the fish . Fantastic. Cheers
Partiblend, with sweetcorn and tigers added in, along with some oily pellets. Stacked pop up tigers one one rod, bright pop up boilie or stacked pop up corn on another.
Favourite summer tactic for me is finding them in the edge and trying to catch them when you can see them feeding. The most exciting fishing ever for me!
Great video really enjoyed that 👌🏻 my favourite tactic in the summer in stalking them out on the surface where they feel safe awesome takes and always great fun.
Excellent video again mate, well done on the fish you caught, unlucky that you didn't have more. Anyways my favourite way of fishing in the summer is lots of hemp and corn, and i use two popup corns on my rig 👍👍👍💥💥💥💥💥🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
Nice Vlog Tom and Avid, can't bag up every trip, but not a blank, so a bit of real life fishing :) . Solid bags to anything that shows is my go to. Thanks
My favourite summer tactic has to be a claw rig with double plastic corn hook bait and a small pva mesh stick of oily ground bait attached, place that amongst the fish…it’s certainly game on!!
My favourite summer tactics is finding a spot in the edge and bait it for a few days and fish a single over the top wrapped in paste 😀 with big drop off lead.
I love adjustable zigs, but I go double the hooklength if the depth allows it. Avid need to bring out some zig float kits, the current ones available are over a tenner a rod now!
Good watch! My Favourite tactic in summer is a solid bag using plenty of attraction with a couple of spombs over the top what’s in my mix depends on the venue as I don’t tend to use a lot of bait until autumn kicks in especially if we are having heat like at present 🎣🐋
Epic watch as always cracking carp Pitty more didn't turn up 🙈 my favourite way of fishing in the summer small baited snowman rigs & solid bags with spodding hemp & snails look forward to the next vid onto the next adventure 🎣👊😎🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
Very good tips pal really enjoy watching all avid's video's I like to use a small scattering of different size Boillies and a mesh bag of pellets and some crumbed up boillies as I fish a lot of day ticket waters and don't no how much bait has gone in before I turn up ..look forwards to the next video 🤜🤛👍
Great video Tom keep them coming. Favourite summer tactic , boilies 12 and 16mm with a mix of low oil pellets. Three or four spombs per rod to start and top up after each bite. Two on a spot and 1 roving.

Great video 👍 Something I like to do is to freeline a bait in the margins. No lead and no buzzers. Just a few freebies dotted around. Something extra special about getting a take like that!
I jumped on adjustable zigs this year and I’m 100% sold on them now. Just having the option to change depth so quickly and fish deeper then fixed rigs a winner!
Great video Tom - my favourite summer tactic has to be surface fishing after work in the evening with a bubble float and dog mixers. Seeing them take off the surface is always good fun! Look forward to the next film.
Great angling 🎣 in the summer months I like to be mobile just like the carp are in the warmer months. Bright in there face pop ups with little mesh bags of pellet 👌🏻 or if I’m stuck in a swim on a busy day ticket I like to rest the swim during the warmer part of the day but keep the bait going in regularly get the rods back out for the evening, patience can be key in tricky situations
Great vlog bud I like to find the shallowest part of the lake and put 2 rods on a spot with a bit of bait and one on a zig incase there on the surface 🎣🎣
Fantastic video really enjoyed watching these get some great tips from people that know what to do even if you’re an experienced angler you can always pick up tips it’s like they say every day is a day in school well done and thank you
Has to be surface fishing, Spring, Summer and Autumn ! Such an exciting, engrossing, frustrating but ultimately, rewarding style of fishing ! Effort =Rewards !! Great vid as always !
Great video My favourite summer tactic is surface fishing with floating pellets Using a mix of small and hook bait size pellets seems to work well For the hook bait either use a pellet band or trimmed down pop up
Cracking vid Tom. Proper simple stuff from me spread of boilie with a catty if I can get away with it if not the trusty throwing stick, prefer to keep disturbance to a minimum on the types of venues I fish.
My favourite tactic anytime of the year is to just enjoy myself, to embrace every minute on the bank. Really doesn't matter if I catch or blank, I always go home feeling like I won and just as hungry for the next time out. 🎣
My favourite summer tactic is stalking in shallow water. Crush a couple of handfuls of corn into a catty so you get different sized bits and fish 3 grains on the hair over the top. Never fails
Great vid 👌 summer like to put 2 on a spot have 1 roamer for showing fish bait once day around mid afternoon rest swim for couple hrs get rods out as light bbq and sit back as bite time approaches as it cools off for the evening 😀
My favourite summer tactic is floater fishing, one of the most exciting kinds of fishing to do. Whether that be over depth zigs or with a bubble float, floater fishing can be hard work but effort equals reward!
With alot of venues banning surface fishing, I usually find myself using 2 tactics. 1) Black Zigs, soaked in salmon oil, using a marker float to find the depth 1st, and usually fishing 1-2ft below the surface. 2) Rods in during the day, find a good spot, introduce good quality bait, little an often then... leave it. As soon as the sun goes down, 2 solid bags on the spot ready for that night time feed.
Great vlog mate 🤜🏻 I try and stick to boilies with a single hook bait approach mainly to avoid putting to much bait in as everyone else tends to so I try and do the opposite really 😁 also do enjoy a solid bag to showing fish 😉👍
Don't get me wrong surface fishing is great and productive, but they don't always stay on the surface. So, i love the Korda adjustable zigs. You can fish at all levels and even on the surface! Great video as always. Keep it up boys👍👍.
Well what is deep in general I think the waters in the UK are shallow. Especially when I compare it with here in the Netherlands. I fish two waters here and they are almost 45 meters deep .
Boillie for me 👍 Zig are a great tactic but could you explain please why you went 6ft if you saw the fish on the surface ? Would it not have been better to be at around 2ft if they were that high up in the water
Surface nothing beats travelling around with hardly nothing. Grabbing some mega rewards! Good video Tom.
We're glad you enjoyed it Mikey!

Nice one Tom. In summer I like to fish a zig on one rod & a KD rig on the other with a surface set up ready in case any fish appear on the top.
Favourite summer tactic, freelined floating crust old school method , nothing like it for getting the heart going as you see them come up for it.
Its a real exciting way to catch them thats for sure!

Couldn't agree more!
Great video
My favourite summer tactic is surface fishing with floating pellets
Using a mix of small and hook bait size pellets seems to work well
For the hook bait either use a pellet band or trimmed down pop up
Favourite summer tactic has to be wading them out in the edge, using a wafter over a handful of boilie or pellet and watching them take it.
A great tactic when you can get away with it!
I like fishing over a good selection of bait in the summer to keep them grubbing and to give me different hook bait options
Always good to have some options! Thanks for watching Scott!
Cracking vid Tom. Proper simple stuff from me spread of boilie with a catty if I can get away with it if not the trusty throwing stick, prefer to keep disturbance to a minimum on the types of venues I fish.

Great Video man , For me in South Africa using particles over boilies in the summer is a really good tactic and works really well
Great video as normal my favorite summer tatic is fishing zigs or stalking them margins in the evening.

great watch as always, this time of year gotta be zigs as my favourite method
They can be devastating on their day!
With alot of venues banning surface fishing, I usually find myself using 2 tactics.

Favourite summer tactic if not on the surface is shallow bays, under trees etc where it is cool :D
Great vlog mate 🤜🏻 I try and stick to boilies with a single hook bait approach mainly to avoid putting to much bait in as everyone else tends to so I try and do the opposite really 😁 also do enjoy a solid bag to showing fish 😉👍

Good video! An my favourite tactics solid bags over baited area
Great video Tom! My favourite summer tactic is either zig fishing or heavy baiting on clear areas👍🏼
Thanks for watching Ashley!
I always keep a rod on a solid bag and the other 2 rods are fished over boillies and pellets! Just keep things simple 👍🏻
Simplicity is often the way forward! Thanks for watching.
Great vid.my favourite is pva mesh bag of boilies with a wafter hookbait
Good choice! Thanks for watching
On the syndicate I fish the main tactic would be a bed of bait and all 3 rods fished on the bottom.
Thanks for watching Paul!
I was in the swim too Ur right 🎣🎣
You managed a few too! Great angling!
Summer tactic has gota be stalking, finding and casting to a showing fish always feels so good when you hear that take scream off
Favourite summer tactic is 3 rods over a good spread of boilies 👊👍
Great summer tactic! Thanks for watching.
Well what is deep in general I think the waters in the UK are shallow. Especially when I compare it with here in the Netherlands. I fish two waters here and they are almost 45 meters deep .
For a UK venue, Esne's goes down to 60ft in places, which would be considered as a deep venue.
Great video and picked up a tip or two my favourite tactic are black zigs
Black is a great colour for zigs! Probably one of the best
Boillie for me 👍
Zig are a great tactic but could you explain please why you went 6ft if you saw the fish on the surface ?
Would it not have been better to be at around 2ft if they were that high up in the water
Fingers crossed for the competition announcements 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
My Favourite summer tactic has got to be fishing pop up corn on a multi rig over the top of a tightly spombed area!!
Love it! Thanks for watching
Casting at showing fish without doubt, small pop ups on Ronnie 👍
Stalking in the edges 👌🏻
Youve made me want to get down there for a session now mate 😆
