It was only a little bit of cool action that he missed, which Chris was able to summarise succinctly, and it's something he'll rewatch anyway. Frankly, I cannot agree with you, and I believe you are being unnecessarily harsh for not a very good reason. You can disagree with Mickey saying, "No, he really did miss something cool", but to draw a conclusion and say "Wow I can't believe he said that, he must be dumb" is, in my view, poor judgement.

There is one animator in this episode that was also in the naruto vs sasuke fight but there are other great ones as well. Also the director is different than naruto vs sasuke (its the one who did Rock Lee vs Gaara and episode 82 of shippuden).
sasuke vs orochimaru in the forest of death. hiruzen vs orochimaru and the first two hokage, and a lot more coming in shippuden that i dont wna spoil.
Hmmm, I wonder if that's the reason Kakashi used one of rock lee's moves when we've never seen him use it before or since.

I'm ususally not a fan of villians but i love everything about Kakazu. such a bad ass character, that first hokage reveal is always chilling. The english VA for him fits perfectly too.
The only thing I would change is I would say in the dialogue: Hashirama Senju, the first Hokage, instead of just the first Hokage. His name is too much cool to not be said in every ocasion hahahaha
It's worth noting that Kakuzu's voice actor is Fred Tatasciore (The Hulk) who usually primarily works in several different Pre-Lay Animation and Video Game projects and this is one of the few instances where Fred worked on a Union Anime dub (as the Naruto anime series is Union). Even the voice of Hidan, Chris Edgerly (Pathfinder in Apex Legends) is also another voice actor who primarily works in Pre-lay animation and Video games like Fred Tatasciore.
However, when compared to Crispin Freeman, Kari Wahlgren, and Steve Blum who still continue to appear in Union Anime dub productions to this day after becoming Union-only voice actors, Fred Tatasciore, Chris Edgerly, and Maile Flanagan (who voices Naruto) don't do Union anime dubs as frequent either due to the pay scale (cause anime pays far less when compared to voice recording for a Cartoon or a Video game) which is one reason they don't do Union anime dubs (regardless if it's a Union production), their voiceover schedules and especially not having enough freedom in the recording booth (cause anime dubbing is "technical" compared to a voice recording session for a Western Cartoon) which would explain why you don't see Fred Tatasciore, Chris Edgerly along with the likes of Grey Delisle-Griffin, Tara Strong, Jennifer Hale, Tom Kenny, John DiMaggio among other voice actors who primarily only work in Original Animation in EVERY Union Anime dub project in the Los Angeles area.
However, both Fred Tatasciore and Chris Edgerly did work together once again in Netflix's CG Ultraman series with the former voicing Shin Hayata (the original Ultraman) and just like Naruto/Naruto Shippuden, it was also another anime series recorded at Studiopolis.

@@theanimeman989 Fred Tatasciore has always been the primary voice of The Hulk in the vast majority of the Marvel projects since mid-2005 with some exceptions (The Super Hero Squad Show, Square Enix's The Avengers game, Marvel Cinematic Universe, etc.).
In fact, The Hulk was what led Fred to become a household name in the voiceover industry which is why you see his name in many different Western Animation Cartoons and Video games since the mid-late 2000's and early 2010's (even though he started out since 1999/2000)

Kakashi was mvp this episode. Yes some of the same animators from Naruto vs Sasuke worked in this and it won’t be the last time 😉

It's quite interesting that Kakuzu not only has been around the time of the First Hokage Hashirama, along with attempting to assasinate him before being defeated by Hashirama himself, but also how Kakuzu steals the beating hearts from other shinobi to keep him from dying of Old Age as he's in his 90's which would explain the 4 elemental masks on his back.

The AD was from, Hirofumi Suzuki.
Toshiyuki Tsuru was responsible for the direction of episode 82 of Shippuden, that’s why it looked so great. But this episode was also stacked by many amazing key animators. The process of animation doesn’t change regardless of quality; everything is still hand-drawn from scratch. However the opening fire style jutsu was CGI, and there are elements of CGI throughout the series.

I think you missed it but that's (14:49) Rock lee's Primary lotus technique that Kakashi did on Kakazu which requires opening the first gate. He copied it during Chunin Exams.

We can't call that move primary lotus every time. And if u r saying Kakashi copied from Rock lee in chunin exam ,then sasuke did it on Naruto in og Naruto but he didn't saw Rock lee vs gaara fight.

The one good thing about the dub
This episode was directed and storyboard by the same person who episode 82. Named Toshiyuki Tsuru. He also directed and storyboard Naruto episodes 17, 19, 48 and majority of Naruto and Naruto Shippuden opening. And one of animator of episode 85, named Norio Matsumoto was animator in Naruto vs Sasuke in part one.

Kakuzu's fight against the first Hokage Hasirama was probably like this: Kakuzu throws a kunai to Hariama's direction, then runs away shouting "I couldnt defeat you Lord First nice fight".
The First Hokage’s Era wasn’t that long ago. Hiruzen was a kid when the First Hogake was still in power.

Here is one of my theory about Shikamaru and his shadow manipulation jutsu's...They are water nature jutsu modified by adding dark nature chakra or modifier to them when they become solid !
Given Shikamaru’s comment about Naruto’s training it’s likely his Jutsu is one of the ones that doesn’t have a change in nature
No shikamaru's shadow manipulation uses yang release
Remember there are 7 chakra natures
1.Fire
2.Water
3.Earth
4.Wind
5.Lightning
6.Yin (Light)
7.Yang(Shadow)
I think it's just... shadow, kekei genkai doesn't always mean you need two chakra natures combined or whatever. It's just special powers passed down from generation to generation in the same clan, like kiba's clan the uchiha's charingan and the byakugan they are special powers

The Uchiha’s fireball Jutsu isn’t a kekei genkai, but is still passed down. It’s probably just a normal Jutsu without a change in nature that’s been passed down like the shadow clone jutsu

One of the best filler arcs in Naruto Shippuden called "Chikara", is entirely animated by the same team which animated this episode. In case any of you read this, you should check it. It is just about 6 episodes. In addition, these episodes are 290 to 295 :)
Yeah the reason why there are 6 filler episodes with god tier animation is because it was supposed to be a movie but then another another naruto movie was released that year so they released "Chikara" as filler episodes.
I've watch soo many Naruto reactors over the months..but i can honestly say you guy are probably the best of them.. good JOB..

In regard to the animation: the anime studio took specific episodes and fights to contractors well in advance, so they could spend more times on the important moments to really do the work justice.
Nah it's in-house animators but they just took a lot of time for these episodes. It could take up to four months.

For some people it might of went over their head, I am pretty sure that most people caught the similarities to the real world.
It's not that subtle in Naruto, even when you're a teen or even a kid.
Also, Avatar was definitely a kids show. Look at how they treated death. They made it ambiguous and even made a meta-joke on the play episode.
Just because a show is made for children does not mean that it can't tackle adult themes, you have to give kids more credit they catch on things pretty quickly.
And there is nothing wrong with watching a kid show when you are an adult.

Badass female action scenes in a shonen anime lol. Not saying it shouldn’t be a thing but in Japan a shonen is geared towards a younger male audience. There is a category towards a younger female audience called shojo. A good example is Code Geass but it can still be enjoyed by everyone.
