This is not Italian as it is taught at an Italian language course.
It is a version of Italian spoken at a specific region of Italy.
Southern Italy actually has some very beautiful dialects such as Griko.
Griko is in essence Greek but with an " Italian twist " to it.

Never watched the movie, but always enjoyed the song very much. Although I must admit that I heard this piece much more often as an instrumental (piano) than a song.
