I am lucky enough to own one of these and 2 BF Super Reverbs. I like the supers but there is something magical about the Vibro. I have a Jbl e130 that Tone Tubby reconed for me
I owned one of the Dias modded Fender Custom 64 Vibroverb re-issues when they came out. Always regretted selling it. Superb amp. The reverb was lovely. Flipping loud though. Aynsley has a 2 x 10 63’ reissue one that also sounds awesome. Looking forward to hearing more James 👍
oh, nice one! Yeah, it sings at 10 - and yesterday I was doing that with no attenuator, the db meter in my room went north of 115. my ears hurt a little today, which is a warning! But, man that was fun. What speaker has yours got?
Hey James, man i wanne ask you…I’m owning a 66 super and a 66 vibrolux reverb. Playing a late 62 Strat. Can’t really decide which one i keep. One has to go. For the 62☺️but sometimes thinking about that instead of these two nice but different amps, a 64 vibroverb could be the holy grail for me. Never played one…but you owned one and now owning and loving a vibrolux ☺️what are your thoughts on this?thx greetings Timo
Awesome amp James! I may be in the minority, but i do think it would sound better not a 10. Those blackface fender really shine between 4 and 6! Looking foward to the next videos!
Thanks! Well, at that volume it was really no breakup and i wanted that warm tube drive tone. I do know because it is a 15 inch not 12 inch speaker that it behaves a little differently to some other amps and that srv used to have them modded to break up earlier and have less headroom, but this one isn’t modded. However you may well be right and after my first bit of noodling I have more tinkering to do 🤟🏼 cheers
Just to add - and thank you for the tip ;) - just played it on 6, which i had tried before but it wasn't quite meaty enough for what i wanted that day, but there is so much more clarity, as expected and a bit more 'life' but then there isn't the warmth. So, I think it is great at various points along the spectrum, and I'll do a lot of this in my full review. cheers

Sounds superb. I had a 1968 Bandmaster with the matching huge cab. I really miss that amp. Never let this go.
