    One essential piece of advice which was overlooked, is always get a business card from your accommodation, then you'll always know where your room is. I've met many 1st timer's drunk out of their mind's and clueless, as to where their accommodation is.

      The most shocking cultural norm is that the Ferang man is 10th on the Thai girls list of priorities, so before you empty your wallet, make sure it is for you and not just to fund her family!

    I enjoy tequila shots with a lady sometimes. Extra few baht. First timers don’t contemplate your sticky money. Buy the lady a shot put a smile on her face and that smile could continue into your hotel. We all here for perpetual smiles 😁
    Whatever floats your boat really. Just my opinion.
    If they want to visit the friends bar or go eat Thai bbq buffet which is delicious definitely go for the new adventure. It’s also to meet new people.
    I just recently bought cosmetics for a girlfriend in central Pattaya. She repayed me with a surprise wine dinner. That was nice of her. And yes everyone I have dealt with in Thailand have watsapp.
    You do have some interesting points though. I had a laugh at your jealousy lesson. Cheers

    Great tips and all worth knowing. Apart from knowing these tips, the lady scene now has changed since the pre-pandemic times. Less of the nicer girls even work in the bars, and the ones that do charge far more than just 3 years ago. Whatever level you are at, it costs a lot more, and for the immediately available girls in bars etc, prices etc are not much different to Europe. If you have time to look around or find someone through a mate or a dating app, that may be different, but in a nutshell, while most Pattaya prices e.g beer or hotel rooms have not experienced much inflation, most aspects of the lady scene have, due various factors, but the main one is supply and demand. Do not expect it to be cheap, because it isn't, not unless you really really know your way around and have time on your side. Then when you do find someone, you have to bear in mind the 3 day rule! And really make your mind up quick to find out what the girl offers and how much she wants, because before you know it you will have spent more on lady drinks than on your evening meal! Basically these girls will fleece you if you give them the chance. It's just business!

  • @michaelbuxbaum2552
    @michaelbuxbaum2552 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    Great presentation
    It just reinforces the fact that one should never pursue a longer term relationship with a working girl. If one is looking for a commitment there are plenty of Thai women who do not work in the entertainment industry but of course there is always drama in any long term relationship anywhere around the world. If one is looking for just fun please follow or 1-3 day rule. And if she wants you to give her more than just the agreed upon amount say you cannot afford it and she will walk off and there will be another tomorrow or even within the next 10 minutes.

    Great insights, as always. Thanks for the continuing education... by the time I get there, I might "have a clue" in situations that might otherwise cost me dearly. The cross-cultural implications can never be re-visited enough, and the comments that these types of reviews generate can be an yet another educational opportunity to inform our world view. Keep it comin' Daz. We are in your debt.

    Many girls who return home does give much of money but they are smart enough to keep some hidden away. But the main reason why many return back to the bar scene is because back home, they are expected to contribute to the household by waking up early and helping out with the farm, cleaning the house and taking care of grandparents or other family members. They are not allowed to smoke or drink alcohol. So after a couple of weeks, they need to leave and tells her family, she needs to make more money.

    Great information, very well presented in your video.
    My own personal experience in Thailand is that GOP is the way to go, in some instances of pay&claim the process took as long a 4 months for my reimbursement.
    Also, absolutely best to coordinate and confirm with both hospital and insurance prior to procedure. Some hospitals more accepting of GOP than others, my best experiences has been with top shelf Bumrungrad Hospital and also Bangkok Hospital. Some other highly rated hospitals here in Thailand absolutely refused GOP when dealing with a foreign or non Thai based insurance company or required an immediate "deposit" of 150,000 baht from me on admittance. Someone told me many years ago that you only really know how good your insurance company is when you need it or make a claim.

    Expat from Singapore, been doing Pattaya for years and Daz truly is the oracle. You’re never old or daft enough to learn this stuff.
    Something that can and will catch you out… More than a few bargirls really love a drink, and can overindulge. Imagine that LT
    dreamgirl you just coughed up for suddenly became a weary drunk, and guess what? She’s in your bed..! Been there more than once.
    That’s super weary and a big waste of your wedge. It’s smart to tune into exactly, what and how much she’s drinking.

    Hi Daz, while you're at it, explain to the folks about a concept known as "Kreng Jai." If you can do that, then you're a wu li master. If not, you're a beginner. It's actually number one on Thai values and rarely talked about. BTW My understanding of the term "Nam Jai" literally means "Heart Juice" or, in other words, kindness. When I give way to someone in the traffic my wife often says, "Oh, Nam Jai". Same when I buy her and her friends dinner. Peace dude.

    • @tonynew3047
      @tonynew3047 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kreng jai is a tricky one. For me it gave the impression of being in awe of someone or of gratefulness but unsure how you can repay that person etc. Of course jai means heart and there are a million sayings involving heart in Thai. Like good heart or black heart but i'm sure you know those. Just thought I;d give it ago seeing old mate didn;t.
