@@elliottbronstein1214 The funny thing is, nobody on set knew why this guy wrote and directed this movie. Apparently everyone in the film was not enjoying the experience of doing it. It was a giant pain in the ***. Mind you, none of the people involved had any background in acting or filmmaking. I think being a very devout Christian, in a small very devout Christian community, the writer/director had this burning passion to tell this story from the bottom of his heart. And now we get to enjoy his terrible nightmare.

@@JewsusMalone Hearing nobody was having fun and it was a pain explains a lot of the incredibly unnatural deliveries, I think. Most of these people sound like it's their first time ever speaking to a human.
As someone who works at a retirement home, it's not this boring. Anyway, I don't think I've ever seen a movie, regardless of quality, that seems to have no point to it until now.
I feel you! I was a nursing assistant in nursing homes for 17 years and holy shit, I would’ve loved just ONE dull day. 😆 More on topic, this review was just what I needed today. Awesome as always, snob! Three out of my three rescue hedgehogs agree that you rock! 👍🏻🦔🦔🦔
It's the kind of movie where at any point in its runtime you are able to yell "WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?"
It's what some of the old-timers in that home must've been thinking; those doing their own thing, paying no attention to the cameras.
I am the filmmaker! 3 things: first, your review is freaking hilarious; second, almost everyone working on this film were first timers and we all had a wonderful time; third, making a movie is about 1000 times harder than I thought and we were all just jacked that we got it finished and distributed. Keep up the good work!

This actually looks awesome. It looks like an assisted living facility and a foster home actually got together to make a student film together. The same cast should make a cheapo gore horror flick for Halloween next. Or a action/war film as a summer blockbuster. The should get harmony korine to make a sequel to "kids" that takes place as the assisted living community.

This movie hits different. Maybe it was just imagining how the people in the retirement community felt about this production. I've spent a lot of time at these places thanks to my family and I must say the younger cast members need to take lessons from the elderly. It probably helps to not know about the details of the behind-the-scenes stuff.

Okay, this was some discovery. Looking at the movie here, it is hard to tell what audience this movie is going for. As far as a "Faith Based" movie is concerned, there's very little of it, except for those few moments with the praying and faith talks. Also I have a feeling there was no script for this movie, and if there was, it feels like it was written at the last minute. I will say "The Geezer Games" moments were pretty funny though.

as someone who's been in retirement homes a lot due to my now passed away mother i can tell this is just a real retirement home they filled in, and ngl i'm kinda missing the days of "the war on christmas" films.

Wild! These last few days i was rewatching a few of your Christmas episodes, mainly the Kirk Cameron flops because of how bad they are, and then i see a new Christmas video the following day.
Maybe i need to rewatch more videos so more are made.🤣
I think I just aged by about 20 years from watching this abridged version alone. Which, factoring in my base age, means I now probably qualify for actual admission to one of these old folk's homes that's depicted. Damn young people!

This movie seems to make as much sense as the absolute fever dream that was, "I'm Thinking of Ending Things." Seriously despite having _just_ watched a long review of the movie I couldn't tell you what Faith Filled Christmas was about if my life depended on it.
I'm barely five minutes in and really want to find Van Wilder/Animal House/Revenge of the Nerds tier retirement home shenanigans movies. I'm sure they exist, I just need to put in the search engine work.

My question is: What the hell is it doing in a movie like THIS? A movie about retirement home residents having an Olympic games should be pleasant at best, dull at worst, but either way instantly forgettable. I guess the script got dunked in acid before filming.
