A rare look into a Cummins recon facility. All the latest cleaning and measuring equipment combined with a thorough engine run in to assure proper temperature and pressures. This adds to long lasting trouble free operation for many more years and thousands of hours! But seriously it's incredible what you can do with pure determination. It will probably do the job just fine
Very nice Turbo Diesel overhaul. It will last another few decades. Amazing work done by Pakistani Engine rebuilding technicians. No one in the World can match their talent. God Bless them.
A rebuild without a single torque wrench. A few decades I give the engine a few days! As a Caterpillar ASE certified technician of 32 years it’s not going to last sorry!
@@bryceandbrylen9522 that’s just to laughable! You can’t tell what 90 pounds of torque is by a popping wrist. I build at least 4 engines a week and work on all different types of tractors and machinery and bottom line is the pressures inside a diesel engine are so severe that you have to use a tool such as a TORQUE WRENCH to properly tighten the bolts or you will ultimately have a catastrophic failure bottom line, period. We have been using tools such as this since Henry Ford started building the model A car. I am 50 years old and I have been doing this since I was 18 years old. I’m sorry there is the right way and then there is 3rd world wrong way.
@@bobbywright2100 that 12v is toast ignore the "by hand torque" guys man as an Engineer I can say with certianty that 6bt is not going to many places it sounds all wrong too
They didn't even use a dial indicator on anything in the motor runs great I'm not saying that I am totally with that or against that butt that just goes to show you that you don't need a crazy amount of tools they don't even have a right torque wrench and the motor still runs good
Good job! Yes, it's stoneage but after this "repair" the engine will run some hours again and none were injured or killed on the job - what more do you want?
Ok Pete show us how it’s done ? In the same circumstances. not everyone has thousands of dollar’s worth of tools and tbh I would trust that then any engine built in the west

Old School Mechanics Could build Engines without Torquing, they Count and know the Feel when the Bolts is at its Tolerance.
So simple- mega grey, shellac, cleanliness, and ample ugga-duggas.

Not bad except not using a torque wrench and tightening bolts in correct sequence. What did you put on the head gasket? I always put them on dry.
Very simple tools ,....very simple soil floor ..... very simple ...... but all is briliant job....
Good 👍 job Best world this guy like working perfectly

we have plenty of engines that we keep rebuilding and destroying .
