@@TraplinesandInlines I live in the bush in Alaska, when the mice and voles get bad I put out a couple live traps for ermine and release them in my shed and by the house. They clean up the mice in a week and move on. Might be risky with the chickens though.

I never noticed how low your cabin was at on that spot. Can you explain why you built it down there on that land as opposed to building it up higher closer to the chicken coop location? Good Golly! That was a ton of $hit! I love the way your built your cabin with the little couch area just for you and having the heat rise (very smart!). I am sure that your pooch loves having the comfy downstairs chair all to himself & right next to that cozy fireplace. Look forward to seeing you build that area around the chicken coop. Bet the hens will be happy too.

Just a tip. Be mindful how hard you shut your laptop. It can break the hard drive. If it does, just replace hard drive.
