note: money rooms are better than item rooms when you still do not have the ability to recycle items for money, as a recycled item is an item wasted at that point in time, and until level 2 recycling you will get relatively little money (compared to what you get from money rooms). the items cost more the farther in the game you are (meaning chapter 1 items are significantly cheaper) so it is a viable tactic to just go with money over items at that point in time
That is pretty valid tbh. I'm consistently getting to elder ent and I've learned that whatever skull I get from fox dude is what I'm using so I just get my skull, go money, hope for decent shop selection, and try to outplay the enemy. I've only been playing 3 days tho.
That tip is mainly just for beginners and new players, because if you’ve unlocked the dark mirror you’ve already beaten the game once and don’t need it
Nice video! I really like the way you put together the main aspects of the game, I just want to add that when you say what power skulls have two dashes (4:17), you forgot to mention Gene. I guess the best way to advice new players on this aspect of power skulls is: 1 tackle or two dashes and pay attention to the skull description. In the future could you give some guidelines on pairing skulls and inscriptions? I would help a lot to know what skulls do you prefer to use with each inscription (sometimes I mess my runs because I don't usually make good combos and I don't have the option to fix an inscription on shop yet)
You forgot to mention Gene, who also is a power skull but has 2 teleport dashes, being one of the more unique skulls in the entire game. Great video though! It's a fantastic game and very rewarding to get used to it. Just beaten dark mirrors 5 to 8 all in a row with a lot of varied builds, and it felt amazing every time.
What about the grim reaper. Is there a requirement for finding him because ive tried so many times to get him. I literally went into skull rooms my entire run 4 different times
You can start with The Ring for free? That's op, I can only take common items. Also, someone should do a dark abilities and curses tier list, can't find any.
My set up: purely magic one. AIM to get magic shooters to put distance between you and enemy. ( magic is also used for spirts attack) and just aim on getting money , magic attack, and spirt percs
I didnt know the room stile had a meaning i tought it was just for aesthetic thx man i got lucky and got prisoner at the start since the first choice when u drop down from the beginning tower was a grave room
I have 100+ hours on this game but I feel like such a noob for not understanding how masterpiece works. I can’t get it to work. It’s red and doesn’t give me any benefits no ma’am yet how many items I grab
Weird... I played this a couple of hours in less than 10 minute segments and nothing has changed really. I found this video trying to see what is going on. After watching some video and reading some comments, nothing I am seeing is even recognizable compared to my experience with the game. Running through enemies? Sparks/lightening in attacks? Doesn't look like the same game character. Etc. Something is supposed to be happening obviously I am not getting. I have been gaming since the Atari was new, so this isn't my first rodeo (daily gamer, every system etc)... everyone has their preferences, but this isn't a very good introductory game design. I am posting this as I see others reference struggling with this game and get discounted as "skill issue", but it isn't, this is a difficult game of the hundreds I have played. I will look for a beginner tutorial to watch.
Mixing "perks" is what allows a bunch of interactions like the ones you listed. "Perks" come on every item and are key to having a good build. You can see these "Perks" by (on ps) holding down d-pad. It'll show you the ones the items have, what they do, and how many of that perk you'll need for an interaction.
Waaaay too hard of a game. You don't choose your skuls. The fun skuls of the game literally never show up. Enemys are waaaaaaaaaaaay to strong and you're waaaaay to weak unles you literally have everything unlocked AND you get incredibaly lucky, There's no map variety. You're obligated to play the same maps with the same enemies over and over and over again. You don't choose your items. This is literally Hearthstone on rogue like form. 3/10. Thank god I pirated this shit instead of actually buying it.

In regards to the rookie mode, while it's great to use for base runs, if you're in the dark mirror know that it won't be able to be turned on.
That tip is mainly just for beginners and new players, because if you’ve unlocked the dark mirror you’ve already beaten the game once and don’t need it
@@MysticIDO if you activate the rookie mode, you can also still unlock trophies?
@@FVGBHJyes
@@FVGBHJYes. I have it on and can still earn trophies.
Are you kidding me I just learned this once I went into that dark mirror..

Thanks man and yeah I can make anther video and focus more on items and inscriptions sure

I enjoy doing Gene runs myself he's a good skul, and when you get to level 10 in the dark mirror the becomes more enjoyable.

I was using a modded version of skul, and I'll need to do some testing but I'll see what I can do
can you maybe tell me how i can survive the first 5 minutes of this game as i have only one freakin' weapon ???
you need to balance out the skul fragments you get to the items you take
@@MysticIDO what ?
@@MysticIDO i'm sorry i don't even know what that means.
@@MysticIDO skul fragments i get ?
@@beautyneytiri then if you’re that new best way is to just play the game more to learn

How do you unlock the heart stand in the shop and all dark quartz abilities? I've just started black mirror and unsure.
For all the dark abilities you unlock them by beating each different level of the dark mirror
How do you get the essence removers at the start of the map in the Dark Mirror?
It will either be a mod or you just need to beat dm10 you unlock things by beating the levels
I didnt know the room stile had a meaning i tought it was just for aesthetic thx man i got lucky and got prisoner at the start since the first choice when u drop down from the beginning tower was a grave room
All the 3 rooms have different meanings but seems like you got that figured out now 👍
how do unlock that room where you can use all the items in the game?
It’s part of a mod
Thx for that, i learned a lot ;)
Glad I could help
I have 100+ hours on this game but I feel like such a noob for not understanding how masterpiece works. I can’t get it to work. It’s red and doesn’t give me any benefits no ma’am yet how many items I grab
You need to grab 5 to evolve the items at 3 item gives you a physical boost I think 👍
