ALSO FOR THE NEW PLAYERS! If you go into your in game settings there's an option called Rookie Mode. It makes you take 50% less damage while it's turned on and can really help with learning what enemies do. It's an excellent feature to use as it won't nerf what enemies do, their spawns, traps or bosses. It just means you won't die as quickly. Use this along with the ''close the game'' trick and you can practice for as long as you need to learn what things do!
Let's go finally got my first win after 27 hours of playtime, turns out revenge plus ghoul just works. honestly had more than a few legendaries, I think the game was asking me to win.
Hello beelz, i just downloaded this from ps plus about 4 days ago, ive dumped over 28h into the game and finished the normal mode a couple times and working on my lvl1 dark quartz thing mirror. Ive been watching all your vids while i play and it was sooo helpful honestly, thanks to you i am in love with this game
I love that you fill your videos with so many helpful tips. Many content creators would go over the basics and just showcase gameplay when showing certain builds but you answer questions before they are asked and explain things such as how to handle certain rooms. Things like amplifying damage aren’t very self explanatory so you explaining it is really appreciated, especially since courage and wisdom look like pretty weak inscriptions without the amplification.
I agree, he breaks things down simplistically and is very good at anticipating what questions will be brought up, shows he knows his target audience very well.
Perfekt a friend of Mine Just started the Game and ... He DOESNT use the dogde Dash or switching He DOESNT know that the Most enemys can't Attack you If you Just Attack them. He doenst know What Magic and physical damage is so this Video ist perfect
I've been playing the game for about 30 hours and the TH-cam algorithm suggested your channel to me. I loved your content but above all seeing that you have fun while playing, keep it up! And make absurd voices, it's very fun XD
Thank you dude! Managed to get ghoul in my first run after seeing this video and beat it normal mode for the first time ever with it! This also teached me about focussing on the attibutes more over the items abilities. Great stuff my guy, keep it up!
I’d like to give you a big thank you, Beelz. I recently picked up this game and was struggling with even REACHING the Leiana boss fight, let alone beating it. Now, I just reset my data and, using all the tips and methods from your videos, got to dark mirror 0 with no deaths and no witch traits! And yes, I definitely used our lovely Ghooool boy. You’re awesome and am looking forward to seeing you play any games you decide to post. 😁
They're all very good. It's debatable whether going 6/6 with Arms/Artifact is worth it, but at the veeeeery least 4/4 is great. Courage and Wisdom are just ridiculously good though and are very appreciated on most of the harder content the game throws at you.
Hello mr Beelz, I just wanted to say thank you for all of your videos, they've been fun to watch and have helped me get better at the game. I have yet to get a single win, and today I died on the first hero's second phase because my CONTROLLER BATTERY DIED. But, I shall one day win, and I shall do so in your honor.
Thanks so much for this guide! I just beat DM9 for the first time using Ghoul, but the game practically handed it to me at that point. Hopeslasher and Olive Cudgel before Yggy, the Priestess’ Bible in act 2, and a SECOND Cudgle from the slime in act 3, and Pot of Greed in act 4! With 4 courage I was at about 3,000 damage and 500 health!
So i left a comment on the ent video on how i beat normal mode with just elder ent so i did it again but i lost to the first heros second phase. I found this video and tried solo ghoul with the appropriate inscriptions and beat mirror 0 the big guy doesnt need much thought because you can just heal most of your health using flesh which is very easily acquired it truly is the best for newbies. Ghoul is also really cool and being able to become bigger than the entrance to the doors is funny and while it does make you a bigger target it doesnt really matter when you can just heal most of the damage. In conclusion: Ghoul is the god that never dies with the right build. Its truly an S tier Your guides really helped me i didn't know at first where to find help with beating the game but i found you and beat normal and mirror 0 because of you. You have my thanks and my sub. Cheers
Thanks for teaching me the ways , once I learned how to ghoul I started doing much better , about to start my first attempt at DM 10 . Kind of sad that I'm about to finish the game but man this is one of the best games I have have ever played !
Typing before i sit down to watch this I have about 10 hours into the game and used your tierlist as a rough outline for what builds would be effective. Got my first win with a bulky shield boi~25 runs at it. Shortly after I got an alchemist and managed to summon oberon with 5 spirits and the thing that amplifies damage for each one you have. It was by no means perfect as I haven't even fully upgraded fully with the witch, but I managed to get over 600p magic damage. I had the raven too and melted thru everything just sitting back, spamming skills and summons. My first broken build and im looking to improve upon it. So thank you for the vid for guidance for new players, really helps some people. I haven't managed to get a good ghoul run yet, so hoping this will guide me to do just that. I'm trying to win with every skull I can.
Hey! Longtime Skul player and roguelike fan! Glad to see the game reaching so many new people on PlayStation! I have it downloaded on every other platform lol I actually didn't know there was such a community for the game, I've just been playing alongside my girlfriend this whole time. I just beat Dark Mirror 4 with the Unknown King!
Thanks for this video I’ve been stuck on level 2 of the dark quartz for sometime now. I could not find a decent build but came across the skull and wanted to see how to build it. I actually beat level 2 and went on to beat the king himself with this character!
As an extra tip for those who just earned hard mode and want to employ the strats here: the dark ability reckless posture will be your best friend, synergizing incredibly well with revenge and will help for getting the basics of the new gamemode.
Having put in over 20hr and gotten all of the witches uppgrades I genuenly find this game too hard. I have only made it to the second to last boss two times. The idea of turning on rookie mode is not fun, feels like a cop-out…
Hey Beelz, just wanna let you know that I started playing this week with ps+ and your videos really helped me learn this game. Just completed my first ever successful run today with prisoner solo😁 Thank you man and keep up the good work🫡
So I took that advice on revenge. Granted I used Warrior, I like giving as much damage as I receive. Now when I tell you a run was stacked a run was stacked. I had dominator for my secondary as I hadn't bought him from the shop him yet, an early game medal box and cudgel (the legendary club thingie that you gotta to do things for to get), got pot from yigs. It was already going smoothly, Got the sword omen in act two and got it duped via slime. (Little did I know that I would only die once this run.) Hope slasher dropped from the twins This gave me the new revenge legendary. At this point my build was basically done. Had quartz for my second revenge revenge and antique, and the last thing I got from Chimera was the other courage legendary I think, Whatever the new one that looks like it an old olympic torch is (am a big fan of it). I was good Had the necklace for concentration early on too, then find the the item that give ten shields and a crit boost when the shield is hit. Traded the necklace for that, and my little bone was fully built for that DM8 run. (First time beating DM 8 too). I locked in antique for 4 and dual I think the other one was. It was another random one to get 2 for a small damage amp and for the collection desires. I know warrior is good, but my man invalidated all of DM8 to the point I don't think I learned anything. Damage incoming? What damage concentration release, Boss isn't dead yet but I think I can burst it real quick (Looking at you fire mage adventure and bishop) Swap to dominator and unload. Ended the run pushing nearly 300 hundred HP despite double omen, nearly 2k physical when all the buffs stacked and only died once (Act 3 is the bane of my existence with all all the on death effects). And saw those beautiful 5 digit crit numbers on dad, little bone, and the emperor. Hit as high as 50K damage. Needless to say I was thoughly impressed and immediately saddened to realized DM 9 and 10 will not be that easy in comparison when I get around to them. Also can confirm Dm 8 is what gives extra bones and gold from the rooms and thingies as I just got it.
This is a really good learning skull purely because you can actually see what's happening. I feel like every time I have a giga-brain 4D chess magic build with heaps of effects I end up dying because I can't find my actual character on the screen and I end up eating every attack.
I just got the dlc but haven't messed around with it yet... I got Freedom Planet 2, Summum Aeterna, Have a Nice Death, Helmut, Cavity Busters, and Batbarian all on the same day as a present to myself after getting laid off 😊
So i decided to do a ghoul run cuz of this vid and whilst he is very much broken i did notice a couple of things 1. If you find a trap puzzle room youre gonna have a bad time This was very easily solved by getting into small bone and doing it with him but then i realized, what if u get the power bone so u ditch small bone so through a bit of rigging i found that Predator is an amazing duo for him as he can double dash and also do alot of damage quickly 2. Sometimes when im in shops or tryna climb to a boss, i run out of meat chunks This was also fixed with Predator, since, if im alr losing all my meat chunks, might asw get the swap attack in and some REAL NICE damage with predator on top of it, and then start gathering chunks after that In reality i only miss out on 2-3 chunks and it worked like a charm, i also do this if i decide to eat chunks to heal mid boss fight 3. 2 Artifact, 2 Heirloom, 2 Revenge is beyond goated for him but if you find Hope Slasher, 2 courage and 2 arms become possible to add on too as it has 1 of both (or, well, the shop lock in thing works great instead of hope slasher too but shhhhhhh i forgot it exists and didnt use it in the run but if i were to id prolly go for like 2 fortress or smth for more tank), which really makes the damage above and beyond and makes the run somehow even easier Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk Youre amazing beelz we love you, keep up the good work, thanks for oppening my eyes to my new fav fatty in fiction
Dude I might have to follow you, as I was watching your video I was playing with a magic build and bro the amount of gold stuff I got was crazy you gave me good luck thanks bro
That thumbnail doesnt lie ghoul and water carried me to DM10 im working on beating the final boss because i just killed only the dark first hero for the skin and the devices
I havent touched this for like 2 years bc i finally beat it. I dont remember what my 2 skuls were except all i know is that i used max ghoooooul and it finally allowed me to beat it.
I actually reset my save to enjoy unlocking everything since it's been "finished" now. Ghoul was my first win on my third attempt. Tried Hercules at first which went really really well but the damage fell off super hard by the chapter 4 adventurer fight. But Ghoul's damage is all built in so it's just a matter of not dying and chunk management.
Beeelz I know this video is a lil old but was playing a ghoul run and wanted to watch at same time and I came across just an absurd adventurer name and wanted to know what has been the craziest adventurer fights names that you can remember ❤
The act 4 debuff is 10% per 3 stacks. The edges get very dark if you pick up enough stacks... I think I once hit 20-something back when I was first starting the game. Taking 70% extra damage kills you pretty quickly haha
Eyyy, Beelz back in teacher mode. Whenever I listen to these I think to myself you would have been the absolute coolest Middle School teacher, dude, seriously. Not that I'd ever wish that fate on you, mind. Hehe
@@Beelz55 I honestly think you'd have been great at it. But worry not! We will give you all the childishness and unruliness you've been missing out on!
i got a question for anyone to potentially answer - what's the best thing to do after getting your first win? go right into dark mirror or carry on in normal to at least fill the witch traits?
You can do either. You, *should*, get more quartz in hard mode (been ages since I compared the gains), so if you're feeling up to it go nuts. Hard Mode 0 isn't that much of a change and many will tell you it's easier than Normal mode because you get some advantages there.
honestly i would like to see another ghoul run but this time on hard mode 10 to see how different how tough he can be against the hardest bosses in the game
Here you go, it was only from like 4 months ago so it's basically exactly the same, but on max difficulty. Similar-ish build too. Shows that Ghoul really is just a big impenetrable meat shield th-cam.com/video/loO6pJe0q0g/w-d-xo.html
Beelz it's good to see you playing skull again! When do you plan to try out the new legendary skull? Also I'd love to see a DP run with the Cozy dark ability since dp got changed to have magic basic attacks and legendary dp slaps hard when he has his barrier up, it's insane!
How does master peice work? What does it do to the items. Hwo do you pick which to evolve? Does it cost money? An from what I read you can drop a few to keep them evolved or somthing like that?
Masterpiece has 2 different inscription effects. At 3 you get access to a buff in physical damage with a short cooldown At 5 every item you have that has Masterpiece on it will transform. It's automatic and won't cost you anything except getting 5 masterpiece items. These transformed items are the same as the ones they were previously, but with more powerful effects. Once the items are transformed, they'll stay that way even if you decide to get rid of your 5/5 inscription for Masterpiece. So you can get to 5, transform your items, then choose to get rid of the weaker ones. For example you get to 5, transform your masterpiece items, but don't really want some of them. So you can sell 2 and keep 3, and still get the 3/5 effect. Or you can sell even more and just keep individual items that you want that are transformed. Ultimately though if you're doing a Masterpiece run you should probably at least keep the 3/5 effect because of the effort of finding them in the first place. Hope this helped, if you've got any more questions feel free to ask.
@@Beelz55 thank you I've been watching the vids over an over im on ps5 an i love these games. Play a bunch of them. But I can't get past DM 0. But these videos are helping me i was nit paying attention to much to the inscriptions as much as I should have . I just looked for like cool ones an didn't see the amp vs increase an I definitely never run relic , courge or revenge . Gitta watch more vids an keep tweaking.
Is amplified damage multiplicative with itself? Or is it adaptive? Example: 100% increased physical damage and 2 different 50% amplified physical dmg. 200%dmg from the increase and the x50%=300%x50%=450%? Or 200%x50%+50%=400%?
It *should* be multiplicative with itself. Which is why stacking a few of these effects together gets ridiculous. You can do things like get Courage for a physical amp, then Mana Cycle 4/4 (30% skill dmg amp) then any of the Dark Abilities that cause an amp as well. There's quite a few you can get. But it's important to remember you need to have an actual base level of damage for the scaling to really climb. It's easy to get carried away and build around 1 thing too much. In lower difficulty levels like Normal through to Mirror 6 it's ok. But above that if you do all crit, or all attack speed or all amplification, your results won't be great. Which is why Courage and Wisdom are taken so much not just because of the amplification, but because the items that have those inscriptions are normally insanely good and provide the raw numbers you need to get started.
@@Beelz55 thanks for the advice, I've gotten quite comfortable with normal runs by now, although I still have some problems with dad, so I'm gonna start Dark mirror today Probably gonna watch a few more of your runs to try and get an idea of what's important with dark powers, the new New enemies etc
35:20 casually ignores DP chilling by the shop keep. 38:41 gonna need to see your game files to check for the rigging there beelz. 1:20 seeing golden dad after so long only seeing impasta dark dad is such a trip
Water skull is also very good i feel like for newbie players (as someone who beat most of his hard mode runs with water skull) the dive ability is just so op
Yo, Beelz! Need to ask: are all the small characters' arts yours? They little avatars that show up almost every video, did you draw them my guy? I love them lmao Great to see you back to Skul, and it feels like you're enjoying it again
No no no, I can't draw at all. I make stick figures look bad. It's all fan art the community have made and some emotes from Twitch etc. There's actually a lot of really good artists that contribute, they're all super cool. And these are only the ones I'm able to show. They make a lot of cursed stuff too.
I always died in the adventurer fight in the 4th chapter, guess who just finished the game with this insane ghoul set up? I didn't even had to try. So powerful I guess revenge will help you even with speed skulls
Revenge helps with literally any build. Revenge, Antique and Fortress are the 3 best defensive inscriptions to look for. Similar to how Courage and Wisdom are the best offensive ones for most builds.
@@Beelz55 I started playing skul recently through ps plus, one of the most helpful thing your video taught me is inscriptions are more important than adding an extra projectile or stuff like that, I was giving more attention to less important things. Now I select my build mostly based on inscriptions, it changed the game.
I'm going to have to start using this in my dark mirror runs. Also, does bomber exploding count as an ability? Cuz I don't know if it'd get that 30% damage Amp from 4/4 skill stuff
Hey Beelz, new player and I’ve been binging your content and learning. I’m stuck on mirror 3 and am going back to ghoul. What dark arts would you recommend? I’m running super baby and king slayer. Those last two slots I’m not sure on.
Reckless Posture for more defense. After that it really doesn't matter. You might find a good cursed ability, if not, Short Hand. But you probably won't have enough dark hearts to afford it all.
If you want something a little less clunky or you just want to feel like your playing the game (although just winning a few runs with a cheese lord like ghoul is still smart idea) try thief, fast responsive and has some solid defensive utility
Finished the game 2 times now with ghoul and 0 with all the other skulls personally my favourite builds are dps aka glass cannon but i do struggle to "get good"
You just need to look at the skulls abilities and notice what type of damage it does. There's only a few rare exceptions where they could go either way.
Hey beelz I just go skul last week and have made it to the part of the game where I get to choose a difficulty and I’ve been stuck on the first one forever just wondering if you have any tips on like who to pick and what to pick in the first part of the run and any other tips and tricks you could provide would also be very helpful by the thank you for posting a tier list for this game I keep going back to it to see who’s decent lol thx beelz
Pretty much what I did in this video. Your goal is to get at least 2 in revenge and maybe some antique if you come across it. Or pick up singularly good defensive items like carleon armour, warriors pauldrons, and grab a solid skull you're comfy with, or Ghoul/Shield.
@@Beelz55 so I actually beat it after posting this comment with ghoul while watching this video, I didn’t realize ghoul was as good as he is. thank you for the vid or I would have never picked up ghoul and thank you for the tips. I pretty much just did exactly what you did in the video just went for revenge items and got pretty lucky on other items
Just beat DM 0-2 because of this struggling with 3 I just want the unlocks so I can have some fun with builds lol. What's another solid toon with survive like that?
actually beelz they changed elder ents gratitude, it doesn't fully get destroyed anymore, instead it's now like voodoo doll, that when the shield is is destroyed it loses all of its big effect and then only ends up giving a 15% attack increase instead of 50%
@Beelz55 ya lol, I only took for a run because I had a huge amount a shields before I even got to yggs, and had it last all the way to the sisters fight before it broke, and that's how I found it doesn't disappear anymore haha, but great video as always, keep up the great work
I am so mad rn, I was trying to do an arthur run I literally had Oberon+ all Arthur's items with Lou and Shade, I only wanted to get The king of heros now and I got a legendary at like the second half of the last zone and its DAVY, its the fifth time in a row when I get a legendary skull where its davy why do I always get him I don't like playing him at all 💀💀💀. The game really hate me last time I got Arthur I didn't even gey one spirit or One of his items in the whole run and when I get everything I can't find him. Edit:I won that run with maxed viking. oblitarated the Emperor but lost to the tiny boy. If only I had Arthur
To heal your missing HP. Prior to upgrading Ghoul so that he can heal and drop a gas cloud there's no real point. But once you've upgraded to Unique/Legendary it's very useful.
Water and Shield are good. Ent can be a bit tricky because of the grass mechanic. He's strong but if you want his benefits you have to be mindful of grass. You can ignore meat chunks half the time and Ghoul just works. Thief is pretty good, but a little tougher.
Hey Beelz, if you have so many hours in the game have you ever leveled up the dwarf turret to a king dwarf turret? I figure it’s a meme but I saw it in my post work run tonight.
You need to invest into them each run. It's one of the power up mechanics mid game, like Boons in Hades or Scrolls in Dead Cells. It's effectively the secondary currency for runs. Dark Quartz is your meta progression currency used for unlocking the traits at the witch NPC. It's also used to unlock new items and skulls with the grave robber NPC who sometimes appears in the shops. Gold is obvious enough and bone fragments are used for upgrading the power of your skulls. Once you reach the Dark Mirror (hard Mode) you'll eventually get the option to invest bone fragments into 3 pillars in Arachnes rooms (spider lady who upgrades skulls). By investing in these pillars/totems you can further boost your stats for your run. So initially bone fragments can only be spent in 1 way, but later you get a second.
Oh yeah, I heard the Ent's Gratitude now leaves an item after you use all if its effect, similar to how Voodoo Doll works. Maybe you should check again
Pretty much the first dark tech machine you get will let you choose common skulls and items to start runs with. Once you beat a few more levels of hard mode this bumps up to letting pick Rares as well.
@@jeffkramer5290 Yeah, Dark Mirror continues and wraps up the games story. The first run is basically you exploring it as Skul initially. For lore reasons.
Currently the console version is behind and doesn't have the most recent update. It's a new skull and balance adjustments but everything mentioned in this video still works for console.
I got the game with the plus, thanks to some of your videos i finished my first run really fun to play.I was wondering what does the dlc add? Because i want to buy hades and i was wondering if i should get the skul dlc too. Like i am gonna buy it i was just wondering if i should buy it as soon as possibile or is better to wait.
The DLC gives you the 5 Mythological skulls (Thor, Spartacus, Guan-Yu, Heracles & Arthur) along with all of their items. Each skull when you get them will have a selection of new items that will be added to your game. Everything else like Hard Mode, the secret boss and true ending are all part of the normal game.
ALSO FOR THE NEW PLAYERS!
If you go into your in game settings there's an option called Rookie Mode. It makes you take 50% less damage while it's turned on and can really help with learning what enemies do. Found your videos because i got skul recently. Never heard about the game, but its so fun. Love your way of commentating your playthroughs. Subbed :)

Awesome Beelz with awesome breakdown of Carleon once again!
as a long time Skul player this is a lot more helpful than I thought since I don't know the value difference between Arms/Artifact and Courage/Wisdom

As an extra tip for those who just earned hard mode and want to employ the strats here: the dark ability reckless posture will be your best friend, synergizing incredibly well with revenge and will help for getting the basics of the new gamemode.
Good timing with this video to new players, I love this game so much
Having put in over 20hr and gotten all of the witches uppgrades I genuenly find this game too hard. I have only made it to the second to last boss two times. The idea of turning on rookie mode is not fun, feels like a cop-out…
You mean the guy with the force field? Yeah i made it to him once

dude I beat #4 first try because of hollow knight playthroughs

Hey Beelz, just wanna let you know that I started playing this week with ps+ and your videos really helped me learn this game. Just completed my first ever successful run today with prisoner solo😁 Thank you man and keep up the good work🫡
Oh dude congrats. Getting to use Prisoner is always a treat. I still regard him as probably the strongest in the whole game once he really gets going.
Beelz video? No sleep run any% run easy.
Bro thank u for ur hard work! I'm glad skul brought me here but ur content is gonna keep me here! Keep up the great work 👍🏿
I'm glad you're enjoying Skul and the channel dude!
Thank you, showing me how broken Ghooul was I breezed past act 2-3 and made it to the end
I got Freedom Planet 2, Summum Aeterna, Have a Nice Death, Helmut, Cavity Busters, and Batbarian all on the same day as a present to myself after getting laid off 😊
We need a dark mirror level 10 monkey king run.
Just for everyone to know how bad i am at this game. I died with Legendary ghoul 4 times. IN CARLEON CASTLE.
So i decided to do a ghoul run cuz of this vid and whilst he is very much broken i did notice a couple of things
1. If you find a trap puzzle room youre gonna have a bad time
This was very easily solved by getting into small bone and doing it with him but then i realized, what if u get the power bone so u ditch small bone
so through a bit of rigging i found that Predator is an amazing duo for him as he can double dash and also do alot of damage quickly
2. Sometimes when im in shops or tryna climb to a boss, i run out of meat chunks
This was also fixed with Predator, since, if im alr losing all my meat chunks, might asw get the swap attack in and some REAL NICE damage with predator on top of it, and then start gathering chunks after that
In reality i only miss out on 2-3 chunks and it worked like a charm, i also do this if i decide to eat chunks to heal mid boss fight
3. 2 Artifact, 2 Heirloom, 2 Revenge is beyond goated for him but if you find Hope Slasher, 2 courage and 2 arms become possible to add on too as it has 1 of both (or, well, the shop lock in thing works great instead of hope slasher too but shhhhhhh i forgot it exists and didnt use it in the run but if i were to id prolly go for like 2 fortress or smth for more tank), which really makes the damage above and beyond and makes the run somehow even easier
Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk
Youre amazing beelz
we love you, keep up the good work, thanks for oppening my eyes to my new fav fatty in fiction
just got my first wine ghoul, 2 courage, 2 arms, and 2 rings 😂 ty for all of your tips man, so glad it was free for psn, what a wonderful game!
Glad to hear dude. If you ever get stuck in the Dark Mirror. This build works well there too.
Just finished the story its hella fun gonna keep playing it
Ghoul absolutely slaps. The vacuum ability is crazy!
Dude I might have to follow you, as I was watching your video I was playing with a magic build and bro the amount of gold stuff I got was crazy you gave me good luck thanks bro
Glad to hear dude

@@Beelz55 lmao
I just breezed through dark mirror 9 and 10 with revenge ghoul after failing with my usual magic power build. It's absolutely busted.
No dash challenge !
full run on max difficulty with no cheats ! 0 dashes !
The last tier upgrades are always 3000 for the first purchase, 6000 for the second purchase from what I remember.
Bought the game a couple days ago and didn't watch any guides. On my 6th run I got ghoul and one shot the whole game easily. Crazy good.
To bad it’s free with plus now
The act 4 debuff is 10% per 3 stacks. The edges get very dark if you pick up enough stacks... I think I once hit 20-something back when I was first starting the game. Taking 70% extra damage kills you pretty quickly haha
Stuck in mirror 3, every time died in the end boss fight
Can you do a run where you use the duel items? The items that swing on their own.
Eyyy, Beelz back in teacher mode. Whenever I listen to these I think to myself you would have been the absolute coolest Middle School teacher, dude, seriously. Not that I'd ever wish that fate on you, mind. Hehe
For a very very brief time I was somewhat thinking about being a teacher.
@@Beelz55 I honestly think you'd have been great at it. But worry not! We will give you all the childishness and unruliness you've been missing out on!
I was surprised to still learn several things from this
i got a question for anyone to potentially answer - what's the best thing to do after getting your first win? go right into dark mirror or carry on in normal to at least fill the witch traits?
You can do either. You, *should*, get more quartz in hard mode (been ages since I compared the gains), so if you're feeling up to it go nuts. Hard Mode 0 isn't that much of a change and many will tell you it's easier than Normal mode because you get some advantages there.
honestly i would like to see another ghoul run but this time on hard mode 10 to see how different how tough he can be against the hardest bosses in the game
Here you go, it was only from like 4 months ago so it's basically exactly the same, but on max difficulty. Similar-ish build too. Shows that Ghoul really is just a big impenetrable meat shield

@@Beelz55 LMAO i have already watched this one, i just forgor, my bad
Beelz it's good to see you playing skull again! When do you plan to try out the new legendary skull?
Also I'd love to see a DP run with the Cozy dark ability since dp got changed to have magic basic attacks and legendary dp slaps hard when he has his barrier up, it's insane!
he actually already has 2 runs with dominator uploaded already :)
@@koutua ...... TH-cam has some splaing to do....
How does master peice work? What does it do to the items. Hwo do you pick which to evolve? Does it cost money? An from what I read you can drop a few to keep them evolved or somthing like that?
Masterpiece has 2 different inscription effects.
At 3 you get access to a buff in physical damage with a short cooldown
At 5 every item you have that has Masterpiece on it will transform.
@@Beelz55 thanks for the advice, I've gotten quite comfortable with normal runs by now, although I still have some problems with dad, so I'm gonna start Dark mirror today
Probably gonna watch a few more of your runs to try and get an idea of what's important with dark powers, the new New enemies etc
Hoe does it vost you 30 to awaken a skull? Im wondering if its a witch upgrade or ive judt always been checking it on uniques when it 100

You may not have it unlocked. The Grave Robber NPC sells it to you, which unlocks it into your game.
@@Beelz55 Ah, thanks!
Water skull is also very good i feel like for newbie players (as someone who beat most of his hard mode runs with water skull) the dive ability is just so op

Yo, Beelz! Need to ask: are all the small characters' arts yours? They little avatars that show up almost every video, did you draw them my guy? I love them lmao
Great to see you back to Skul, and it feels like you're enjoying it again
No no no, I can't draw at all. I make stick figures look bad. It's all fan art the community have made and some emotes from Twitch etc. There's actually a lot of really good artists that contribute, they're all super cool. And these are only the ones I'm able to show. They make a lot of cursed stuff too.
Destroying the gold incense burner at the beginning hurt my soul
Finished the game 2 times now with ghoul and 0 with all the other skulls personally my favourite builds are dps aka glass cannon but i do struggle to "get good"
My fav combo is bomber ent for all of the grass patches
The op ghoul run is real fellas
Is there a spreadsheet for what damage type to focus on with whatever skulls you go with for your run?
You just need to look at the skulls abilities and notice what type of damage it does. There's only a few rare exceptions where they could go either way.
@@Beelz55 like the jester or thief with certain special attacks.

21:03 5 times? I thought it was 3 times. Did they nerf Indom. Will? It wasn't even particularly op.
Hey beelz you didnt talk about the beginner mode in the options that make damage taken half for new players who cant pass through normal runs
Yeeeeeaaaaaaaahh by the time I remembered I was half way through editing....
Time to pin a new comment
3000 and 6000 Alchemy for the last 700 to 1400 for the Third and 1st and 2nd buffs are different Alchemy.
Does closing and restarting boss fights with work with playstation?
Yeah
Just beat DM 0-2 because of this struggling with 3 I just want the unlocks so I can have some fun with builds lol.
What's another solid toon with survive like that?
Shield works well, he's just a bit slower.
actually beelz they changed elder ents gratitude, it doesn't fully get destroyed anymore, instead it's now like voodoo doll, that when the shield is is destroyed it loses all of its big effect and then only ends up giving a 15% attack increase instead of 50%
Holy shit you're right, I forgot all about that O.O ..... oh well still shouldn't take it ~.^
@Beelz55 ya lol, I only took for a run because I had a huge amount a shields before I even got to yggs, and had it last all the way to the sisters fight before it broke, and that's how I found it doesn't disappear anymore haha, but great video as always, keep up the great work
I am so mad rn, I was trying to do an arthur run I literally had Oberon+ all Arthur's items with Lou and Shade, I only wanted to get The king of heros now and I got a legendary at like the second half of the last zone and its DAVY, its the fifth time in a row when I get a legendary skull where its davy why do I always get him I don't like playing him at all 💀💀💀. The game really hate me last time I got Arthur I didn't even gey one spirit or One of his items in the whole run and when I get everything I can't find him.
Edit:I won that run with maxed viking. oblitarated the Emperor but lost to the tiny boy. If only I had Arthur
Your videos are very good and help me a lot even though I don't understand much English:]
I dont understand the point of using the ⬇️🔳 move. Why would you want to cosume the amp stack and start over??
To heal your missing HP. Prior to upgrading Ghoul so that he can heal and drop a gas cloud there's no real point. But once you've upgraded to Unique/Legendary it's very useful.
@@Beelz55 thanks dude! I kept doing it with v1 ghoul and saw nothing happen. Knew i was missing something.
Huzzah moar ghoul runs with the added bonus of demon lord hiccups
Here's a good question. What other skulls are good for newbies to use? I was thinking of someone like Water Skull or Ent Skull.
I'm not gonna lie. Less than 20 times. It's just..... *sigh* not worth it
Hi new to this game.
Do skuls remain awaken after death, or do need to reinvest bones into them again?
Yeah some others here reminded me. I'm a goof. BUT in my defense, there's almost always a better item to take anyway
Hey is there a way to unlock these starter skulls and items in the mirror?
Pretty much the first dark tech machine you get will let you choose common skulls and items to start runs with. Once you beat a few more levels of hard mode this bumps up to letting pick Rares as well.
Ah so im gonna unlock it when i first beat the hardmode? At the moment there is just a body layibg around at the start in the mirror😂
@@jeffkramer5290 Yeah, Dark Mirror continues and wraps up the games story. The first run is basically you exploring it as Skul initially. For lore reasons.
Just did it the first time with berserker and revenge because of your video thx :)
On which platform is the game ?
And another question is the PlayStation version on the same patch notes like the the steam version?
@@Beelz55 ok i just bought it thanks for the answear
Thank you so much for this.
