Legion had a great reason for alts and repeat the campaign which was to see it from the perspective of the class you played and the class halls. It offered you cool lore and a fun story related to your class and felt special. That was the last time i saw the game had a re playable approach
legion was the ONLY expac that made me want to make all the alts to get through all the unique experiences and storys with the class order halls. nothing has nailed that experience since.
Legion was easly they worst time to Play alts AP power made playing alts awful. Class campaigns were cool but awfully tideous to finish forced time Gates and forcing player to do the same brainless content was just awful
I feel this. Been trying the whole time on 3-4 characters every week and nothing :( My Paladin has to be close to the guarentee'd drop soon. At this rate I wish I had done it on mythic as its a 7 time guarantee.
I just re-subbed after a few years away and am currently trying to get through Dragonflights story before this starts... I'm about halfway through the plains storyline so hopefully I can finish it all before the expansion launches!
Sorry if this was covered but i missed it. It also a great time to get the last rep for your renown if you havent already. Because of the warband rep thingy, you can now do the Dragonflight questline on an alt and get rep for you renown all across your account. Turning in quest gives you up to 300 rep with that faction, which makes it really fast to get the last tiers of renown if you need them.
Veteran here, played competetively during tBC and Wrath, last time I played high-end content throughout at least one patch was in MoP, last time I even once saw the high-end content was Legion, completely skipped Shadowlands and Dragonflight (including leveling) Gonna give WW a try. Reanimated my account a week ago, loving the talent tree. Shadowlands and Dragonflight stories feel like a mess - I was reading every quest in the past, and now I am feeling like it's healthier to speedrun through them without reading, keeps sanity safe. Feeling skeptical overall, glad I skipped what I skipped. But I have hope since I saw Metzen return.

Man that last bit of advice is such gold.... I always fall in this habit of hitting WOW super hard last season -> into new xpac.. Then get lvl'd in new xpac plays for a bit.. Do some raiding etc... then burn out... Then only to come back last season of that xpac and rinse and repeat.. I have one more minor achievement for "A world awoken" just waiting on it to spawn and I am done. I am gonna deuce out until early access..
My bank and void storage is stuffed with soulbound items that my Rogue couldn't wear, so I can't wait for the Warband feature to finally collect all these appearances!
@Bellular Im not sure if anyone has said this but the warglaives (both main and offhand) must be farmed on one character, then you have to kill illidan during tbc timewalking to unlock the xmog
Question : I had an old rogue with both glaives. Then after years i pressed the catch up gear before i log . Guess what, everything is gone. Can i take the warglaives back somehow?

Honestly if you plan to level any given character in TWW I would recommend at least grabbing a weapon from the bullion vendor. It doesn’t cost much and will make leveling a lot easier for most alts. The gear from the prepatch event is a lower ilvl. If you don’t plan to level that character until halfway through TWW then just get xmog gear.
I'm so glad the tusks of mannaroth that has been in my hunters and my priests bags will finally unlock the appearance. I only ever had it drop twice and it was on hunter and priest sadly. I really like this change.
Efficiency is often the death of fun unless you are far more goal-oriented than average. Some of the most fun I've had in games is not having everything figured out and I've certainly heard that sentiment voiced by countless others. I can understand guides in general, but saving mere hours in a game people play for months, years, and sometimes decades feels almost soulless.
Prepatch will be a blast and continue to allow me to catchup on some old expansion achievs while working on some alts. Excited that it's right around the corner. Have fun gamers!

At this point other than old Mogs, the only things I want from DF is the Sark kill mount and the damn Superbloom legs... have about 50 damn cloaks & rings!
I need to farm up some starting gold on my main. I spent 30,000 gold today buying cosmetics from Iskaara and Maruuk vendors, and I still have plenty to purchase from the centaurs. I need to get the Aberrus Awakened raid to finish getting the mount on my mage. I'm also working on getting some decent gear on several of my favorite alts. I have already gone through some raids to get transmog appearances for the Warband.
It also has the benefit of being available on any server and you don't need to worry about getting yourself in your guild with a bank. Also, warbound and account items can't be transferred through the guild bank.
Can't help but realise this video has absolutely nothing to do with the pre patch event or "how to make the most out of it" as the title suggests, but instead is a checklist to complete before pre-patch...
I'm looking forward to War Within, but watching this video and thinking about all this stuff to get, I realize I've still just like lost all enthusiasm for "getting everything" since Wrath... It all seems so foreign now. Maybe I just got too casual. Maybe Wrath was the last of the good xpacs. Maybe the new trilogy will change my mind. EDIT: That's some sound closing advice.
I would not focus on collecting Things. How much did we already collect and it collects dust? Never ending threadmill. I rather focus on the gaming experience. Everything else will be forgotten.
Some of the xmog are showing that I can buy that and not "already known" but when I purchase them and try to "use" it says already collected. Anyway to fix it?
I went crazy with MoP Remix and leveled up about five alts to max already, I have been taking a break the last couple weeks once i heard leveling would be easier in pre-patch so I can finish my alt army and not do Pandaria again, even though I loved the expansion, I'm sick of the Jade Forest story.

It depends what you enjoy doing. I say the same thing with people only raiding, with each tier your gear becomes useless but collecting mogs and mounts is an activity that you benefit from forever.
You also get the enchant and cloak tmog for 2100. Also 1800 isn't too hard to get just need to put in a little bit of time and effort to learn the basics, pretty easy for most to achieve just don't give up
50% chance of failure in M+ where people are leaving the group will never allow myself to use these dungeon portals with 8hrs CD regardless if it can be reseted if the key is timed, this is again the top % design. I wonder if we are gonna have any kind of casualties in the prepatch.

'How to make the most out of the time *before* pre-patch' would have been a better title imo, since there wasnt anything informative about pre-patch itself beyond a few account wide QoL changes, which were tied to the topics of getting mounts, 'mogs and achievements /shrug
Is there a way to exchange honor for Conquest? There should be a way for everyone to get everything if they are either skilled OR put in the grind and I mean for All items.
I hope in War Within there would be similar legendaries like in MoP and WoD one item that spans the entire expansion. It was fun to get and in my opinion nice way of progressing through the expansion :D
Mounts are cool, but never really motivated me to do much. For me, S tier. Would be gameplay/story. A tier would be gear. B-Tier would be Transmogs, C-Tier would be mounts.
Hard disagree about creating an Evoker now instead of waiting till prepatch. I always hated that it started at such a high level. Starting at a low level lets players more easily get an idea of how the class is played and how it's meant to flow as you level up. Starting at a high level just means abilities and talents are thrown at you left and right. It overwhelming and confusing.
that's why i've been loving leveling an evoker in remix. i already had an evoker (at lvl 60, haven't played it since), but i've been enjoying playing the evoker on remix bc i feel like i'm actually learning how to play the class with each level/talent/new ability
All the fancy classes have started at a higher lvl. This is nothing new. Besides, you start with only a few spells and the quests in the starter zone literally have you use them as you get them to get familiar, so can’t agree on starting at lv10.

What is the easiest way to get that mount as well as the normal awakened mount? Is it simply looking through premade groups? Do I have a shot at making it into those groups with 457 ilevel? Agreed, you can get alts up to 70 fairly quickly and get showered with rewards from daily quests. Leveling gear (even greens) gives very noticeable gains as does the cloak. I’ve had a great time with remix 👍🏻
Hi guys, I stopped playing at the end of shadowlands and did not play or bought the dragonflight extension. So now my main characters are lvl 60. What is the best way to lvl up to 70 ? Will only playing the pre-patch event get me to lvl 70 ? Or do I need to do some pexing in dragonflight ? Cause I don't really want to pay for the DF extension so i'm a bit lost to come back to the game ! Thanks a lot :)

Getting 2,5 K score in mythic + , and getting high rating in pvp , is pretty hard if you start from scratch right now 😂 , im 2,8 k score in mythic + tho, but getting pvp gear, and then starting rbgs , in end of expantion, is really hard
The gear you get from those respective season open world events can’t be used in the catalyst. IE dream surge gear. I’ve gotten the veteran track gear and it doesn’t let you catalyst it. The same goes for the time rift stuff. I haven’t tried the forbidden reach stuff cause frankly I think S1 tier sets sucked.

10:00 you can do the same thing with guild banks now & you have mobile access, still over priced for doing half of what can already be done now.
For me it's the being able to craft from it and not needing to pull or mail things for whatever character.

If you want it to be sure. The beauty is if you don’t care about mogs n mounts you don’t have any pressure to do anything beyond what you want to.

One note: the raid teleports were always account-wide, it's only dungeon teleports being account-wide which is new.

Silly. You can simply practice on a target dummy with just a few spells and then add more as you get comfortable.

Mop remix is where it's at IMO, I just returned myself after 12 years. Mop has been a chaotic blast and I love it.
Agreed, you can get alts up to 70 fairly quickly and get showered with rewards from daily quests. Leveling gear (even greens) gives very noticeable gains as does the cloak. I’ve had a great time with remix 👍🏻

Hi guys, I stopped playing at the end of shadowlands and did not play or bought the dragonflight extension. So now my main characters are lvl 60. What is the best way to lvl up to 70 ? Will only playing the pre-patch event get me to lvl 70 ? Or do I need to do some pexing in dragonflight ? Cause I don't really want to pay for the DF extension so i'm a bit lost to come back to the game ! Thanks a lot :)

Getting 2,5 K score in mythic + , and getting high rating in pvp , is pretty hard if you start from scratch right now 😂 , im 2,8 k score in mythic + tho, but getting pvp gear, and then starting rbgs , in end of expantion, is really hard

That limit is for evokers not the race itself, so even if they don't lift the cap it should be fine
The gear you get from those respective season open world events can’t be used in the catalyst. IE dream surge gear. I’ve gotten the veteran track gear and it doesn’t let you catalyst it. The same goes for the time rift stuff. I haven’t tried the forbidden reach stuff cause frankly I think S1 tier sets sucked.
