I'm just finishing a compact dozer of my own design, I'm a designer and a fabricator so it works for me. I can't afford to buy one because it would cost $25,000.00 to buy one even without a cab. By the time I'm done, I will have just over $5000.00 in materials. I'm retired so my time doesn't count. Keep up the good work and you might think of buying a dial gauge to help minimize runout on things like your driveshaft!

Давайте не будем осуждать чужие решения, на ошибках учаться. Ничего страшного в этом нет, все конструкторские решения доводятся до ума в процессе испытаний. Если и есть где-то ошибка она исправима. Молодец продолжай в том же духе!!!

@@JuhaErkkila It seems, to date, that everybody trying to finish Brexit will be finished him- or herself instead - Brit'sh Estabs finishing Boris now after they finished Teresa before him and David before that .... that isn't the original problem in Binky's case, is it?

@@manfredschmalbach9023 You are right I admit. Mine was kind of a sarcastic comment that all of those things are overengineered and getting the project finished has been forgotten. Comparing Donn to Binky doesnt give justice what one guy has been doing in the same time frame when some mini has been refurnished.😉

This project is coming along great! Keep the videos coming 🙂 I think the people that make those comments about just go buy one instead of building it are definitely missing the point, not only does the manufactured one cost WAY TO MUCH, you wouldn’t learn anything by buying one except that you probably shouldn’t have spent so much money on it.
The things that people are missing the mark on is that not only are you saving money, you’re also learning more all the time about engineering, you also are making these projects to share with others for education and entertainment, they might miss the point that this is your job. I had people make the same comments to me when I made a series of videos building a quad truck, they missed the point that not only did I save money on it by building one, but I also made like 3 times more on the videos on TH-cam then I had into the cost of the project. Take care and keep up the good work!

Absolute self satisfaction, creative license, and control. That’s why you do not buy one, but build. Looking at the UTV market and what is built to buy vs what you are doing, I have often thought car/truck parts would last forever in place of the undersized parts that come “factory Installed”. This is of course where they make the most money with replacement or upgraded aftermarket parts.

I understand that English is a second language for you. Regarding English, I wanted to tell you about "dampers' and "dampeners". It is nice to do things because "you can" great skills! Often those ask "why" simply not "can not". One thing I have not wrapped my head around is the drive differential and how power will be applied equally to each side and then slowed or stopped with a break to either side without the other side stopping. I know you have it worked out, i just need to get it figured out, thinking I need (need who am kidding "I want") to build a tracked vehicle for myself. :)

I've learned from experience with my own project builds, that if you substitute that standard 'black steel' or structural steel with a higher grade, you can start making your brackets less thick. The other advantage of using better grades of steel is that they warp less when welding, and they are easier to machine and work with. I used a lot of EN3B or EN8, or even EN12 steel rods and flat bars. Those are cold rolled steel, whereas the stuff you're using at the moment is hot rolled. I'd highly recommend getting a few bits of EN3 or EN8 flat bar, so you can run some tests. You'll immediately see the difference in quality between the grades of steel! :)

Love the construction. Just a few observations... There is no requirement to have all the wheels on the ground, and with no suspension. Why not use indespension units on the idlers and raise the drive hubs a little to ease the drive shaft couplings. they are at a crazy angle. It would make driving a lot more comfortable and you won't wear the joints out prematurely. It's not too late to alter. Regards. Ian.( Scotland)

I have spent the last week adding a saturn vue electonic steering unit to my old ford 8N tractor, almost finished. Why because I like this old tractor and I have 66 yr old shoulders. It doesn't have a front end loader. A lot of people would say I should just get a better tractor with power steering but others have done it and I just wanted to see if I could. I have installed a front pump so I could have full time hydraulics and now I have a power angle plow for winter. I am impressed by your work.

About the rigidity of the motor mounts, you have a piece of tubing running under the motor mounting plate. You could run a solid piece of the same steel plate you made the motor mounting plate out of the width of the motor plate down to that tube and either weld or bolt it. And the drive shaft doesn't need to be balanced and all that stuff if it's only running 35 kph, close is plenty good enough with all the excellent dampners you have on it.

Any one can go and buy one but he is having more fun building and making his brain work thinking out the promblems as they arise. I am enjoying the full build and I will be watching to the end to see if it works as it supposed, that will be the best feeling that he will have, you can;t buy that at the store.

Not only do I support replacing the couplings, I also suggest that you weld up the rear differential and convert it into a posi track rear end.

I do not know how to solve the limited slip rear end dilemma. A multi-clutch system is prone to failure...

However, a computer controlled system can definitely mitigate the power-to-wheel problem?

One of your future projects should be a car of your own design. I bet it would be great!!! For people that don't understand why you build it your shelf are the ones that never dream or don't have one.
