It's like when nature documentary hosts talk about animals while standing right next to them 😂 Love you guys
You forgot that they work all the public holidays. Valentines, Xmas, thanksgiving etc
and that these are the days they will likely be working overtime due to the holiday rush, so you get the least attention on holidays
And on top of holidays, they normally work when everyone else has free time during the week.
I've decided for my next job to never work at a place that just DOESN'T EVER CLOSE. First job was in enviormental service at a nursing home. Sucks not getting to celebrate any holidays unless they magically land on my off day.
Thats good for guys not girls. We got a valid excuse.
Correct, I am wife of a chef and all of these points are true 😅
I dated a line cook in LA several years back. At first I was expecting like fancy home cooked meals but noooo! He worked long hours and was tired when he gets home. So we usually ate out or did take-out. I respect and admire the hard work in this industry. You have a good man.
I loved Ryan's face! LOL
yes but he is so freaking cute
lol valid counterbalance
Alternate title: reasons I left the culinary industry even though I paid a boat load of money (unnecessarily) for a degree in culinary science
Same bruh I can't 😭😭
Why tf you out here getting a degree in something that you can grow from through exclusively experience?
Same
@@barret4462 I’ve worked in this industry my whole life and the education I got in kitchens does not beat the education I got from school. Also, most high paying jobs want to see a degree on your resume.
Ryan's reactions are priceless!
All valid reasons not to date a chef. But!!! When its right its right and you two are right.
omg this is so true. ex was a chef and it was hardly a plus in the relationship lol. plus restaurant industry can be so toxic and upward mobility is pretty much zero :\
Ryan's face though... When Joe said "reasons NOT to date a chef" 😂😂😂
Love how Ryan is just nodding and agreeing in the background the whole time 😂
I love how he's just in the back nodding his head for yes or no xD
It's beautiful what you both have, I wish you the best and hope you grow old together with so much love
Ryan not saying a word, but also in the background being the hype man to all of this information is golden!!!😂😂
On a side note Joe you look so gorgeous...yr chefs a lucky man...
Man this is so legit hahahah my boyfriend checks all the boxes, specially the mcdonald's one😂 but one of the perks could be the leftovers they bring from the kitchen hahahahahaha
Did he bring home the waitress?
Yes 😄
Lmao he speaks nothing but the truth!
The only reason to date a chef is when you love them & they love you back. ❤️
That is actually why he have a big update on our working convention in France. Our monthly minimum salary finally went up after many years. In France, since COVID, we actually have a very large portion of the people working in a restaurant changing career because they realized that all the time they spent in the kitchen for very little recognition, it wasn’t worth it. They never see their close ones. When it’s time to rest, I want to do nothing but sleep and snack, I don’t want to leave my house to see anyone, but sometimes I have to force myself to go out because if not, I never see my friends at all. And of course, we cannot stop working on holidays, because someone has to serve the meals people want for their own special day
can confirm, mom was a chef & owned restaurants - as a kid I'd steal leftovers from the plates after the bussers cleared the tables... 🤮
😆
hmmm sounds like neglect and malnutrition.
@@HisameArtwork hmmm sounds like you made an uncalled for assumption
@@HisameArtwork I would eat leftovers after we had guests in our house. Even though I had 3 full meals a day. Just something that some kids do.
@@Ri57490 depends on what leftover.. if you meant on the guest's plate? Like if they don't finish it , so you would eat that? If it's untouched (by hands) leftover , I would eat it , don't care
As a chef/business owner, I confirm.
That’s ok…you’re with him bc he is just too adorable! ☺️😍 you guys make a cute couple and seem to have such a great relationship 😊
After spending a day of cooking, even I wouldn’t want to cook a meal for myself.
Get me that sweet fast food because I just want fast nomnoms.
Not all chefs have substance abuse
Thank you!!
making little money: then that's not a chef, that's a cook
Exactly
Me planning to take HRM/CULINARY course really broke my heart when he said "they make no money"😭😆
Gosh same. I'm planning to join Culinary course very soon and now after watching this it's giving me so much anxiety 😩😩😩
It depends where you work.Just climb the ladder. Money will come.
Better to get a degree in food science or hospitality
But he's sitting right next to you....and laughing 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Wanna see a how you both met video!
Yeesss we’ve all been waiting 😩😩😩
🤣Ryan's face
Of topic, but your voice is so calming ❤
Lol 😂that burp when Joe said that they come with substance abuse issues
it's actually so sad the reality behind those hard-working jobs with long hours and freaking low wages like how ? why ?? all those people deserve so much more...
Looks like doctor and chef is the perfect combo💀
But if you love someone, everything else doesn't matter.. And that's why you're together! 😍
why do I think like you are roasting him?!!😂😂
This bromance literally provides me with more hope for my future than my skills, friends and family combined. Keep making content guys, it's crazy impactful.
Its true about the last thing a chef wants to do is cook.
The real last reason is that whenever you do manage to go out to eat they will spend the entire time analysing the dish - like goddamm just eat the thing!
Such a great couple.
SPOT ON 100% TRUTH 🤣🤣🥰🥰🤣🤣
Your skin looks amazing!
You’re the best couple on internet period
He calling me out right now 🤣🤣🤣
What a lovely couple 😍
I don’t comment much anymore, but I got to say that two are awesome. And… I hope you two put a ring on it! ✌️💛🙏
My ex-husband is chef. Everything you said it's true. Now, depends on the other person if he/she can get used to all that issues of schedules.
You two are fucking adorable 🥰
As a chef I can confirm 100% true every single one was 110% true
the substance abuse part ✋🏻😃😭😭😭 i cracked up
Seriously, you guys areeeee cuteeeeeeeee ❤️
True. But I feel attacked right now. 😂😂😂
You forgot the part that when you’re on holiday they are working.
Try dating a government agent lol
Oh god
@@cupiddle9026 it’s tough some times but he is an amazing man so I’m not going anywhere
@@emiliopolanco5959 aw🥺💕
Like a good one or a "killing kids abroad" one?
I work in the Govt. The hours are normal af and no overtime either.
Boy everything you said is right.😂😂😂😂 i am a chef too. But we LOVE our job more than anything.
Joe is lucky to have a Ryan in his life STOP TROLLING YOUR BF🤪
Chill Karen ! He is telling the truth and honestly they have a very solid relationship to be so candid.
@@camt4133 But he is still dating a chef with a real job. He must love something about him wonder what it is?😜
If you don’t want him…I call dibs 🥰🥰
AS A RECOVERING COOK.... YEP... YALL ARE SO AWESOME! AND I MEAN I ALWAYS MADE FOOD FOR MY PARTNERS BUT THAT WAS THE EXTENT OF WHAT I COULD GIVE LOL
Pastry Chef over here, he is giving FACTS!!! I use to smoke and drink heavily. I'm now in retail baking and it's a lot more of a normal life. High Five for those facts Sir!!!
Smoking is indeed gross 🤢
Period😉👏
But he’s so cute!!!
As a chef I agreed even the unfortunate thing 😂
haha glad to see more people finding smoking a turn off!! (not shaming smokers -- nicotine addiction is hard to beat. I'm just glad it's not seen as 'cool' anymore cuz it's actually so detrimental to health)
This is so on point
My dad was a chef too and... I agree with those 😀
When I was little I rarely saw him. And one more thing
When they spend a lot of time with food, they don't like to eat much. My dad rarely eats 3 meals a day-
Sometimes it's just one meal a day
Luckily I just cook breakfast 👀. But I wake up at 4am.
But also:
Lack of nutrition
the lack of energy to do anything because your on your feet all day.
Getting off late and sleeping in for too long.
I can relate bcz I’m dating a chef 😂
ah yes, all the reasons i talked myself out of furthering my relationship with food, coming to cutely haunt me at 4 am
So true!!
I should make one of these about dating a Massage Therapist 😂 cause my bf and that last point… I’d start with that one LMAO
Love conquers all. 🥰
Chef documentary 🧐
But one reason to date a Chef outweighs all the other cons.
If the chef looks like Ryan, its totally worth it.
Asian guy is absolutely gorgeous.
That is so true. I still remember that hell kitchen I worked for. Thank god I didn't pursue that career.
Though I don't say no if someone wants to be a chef. I will be rewarding as well, when someone compliment your food. 💙
What career did you end up choosing instead?
@@snowandfrogs I am a dental receptionist and dental assistant currently. But I might change my career. I want to try something different again.
Husbands a chef. Yes. I agree to everything you said.
Thanks for letting me know!
please ryan is so cute 😭💀
I need to date a chef
In my country it is illegal to work more than 40 hours a week..
They're so cute 😭
Exactly the same as dating a nurse. We work long ass hours with not enough pay
There are probably 7 or 8…. “Reasons “why he’s dating this chef.
is... is that a richard joke?
You misplaced the two quotation marks. 7" or 8"
@@superelectrasuperheroe4079 I try to keep it classy.
My wife used to be an executive chef. Can confirm all of this. 😂 (Fortunately she doesn't smoke anymore.)
Ryan is cuteeeee
Me expecting amazing meals everyday 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Proudly chewing on his McDonald's 😂 at least he owns it lmao
I once had a professional chef as a houseguest for a week. When she would cook, ye gods - the amount of bowls, etc that needed washing afterwards!
They way my chef friend always shows up with beer. Middle of the day, we’re just gunna pet the dog and play dream daddy. Beer.
Looks like I need to date a chef. I hate sending and receiving cute txts thru out the day.
The chef does not cook at home is real though. When my friend told me that her dad is a chef and has his own restaurants, I was surprised that she said she never ate the food he cooked in her whole life.
Also working in the hot kitchen, they smell pretty rank when they come home.
The cook at my job gets paid a shit ton, but other then that the rest is pretty spot on.👍
It's all true. I was married to a cook. He worked way too much, made shit money, came home dwelling really bad and had a huge attitude. The substance abuse in his case was his tendency to screw all the waitresses at work. Kicked his ass to the curb. He's still pissed off two decades later. The idiot has been messaging me again even though he's married again. Gross.
if he's as cute as your guy i don't care what his job is lmao
Emotionaalllll damaaaggee
I am a line cook ,one of 4 at my job and I don't work that long of hours
1000% true
Good thing hes cute I guess. :-p
All very true. Probably the main reasons I'm single
No wonder why he looks familiar. He’s the chef guy I saw months ago 🫣😂
Yea when I was working as a head chef my addiction got bad and I didn't make a lot for the time I was working. I mean it was enough to support myself but if you go by hour I made nothing. I really did not cook at home till after I left the food industry. If I did cook people expected presentation but I would just throw it on the plate lol.
