I’m confused, if the pill version doesn’t have additional magnets, what is the point of the shape?
Thanks for the comparison! The poll shaped one costs $10 more than the round one. I definitely don’t want to spend the extra if they’re basically the same.

Do you feel though that the pill shape has a stronger “grip” because it uses the second magnet? I don’t mind what my fingers touch I just worry the phone detaching from the pop socket.
Also can you charge over the popsocket like other grips? Or do you just pull it off to charge ? (New to using MagSafe charge and accessories)
Hi, I wasn't aware of a second magnet on the pill version -- I haven’t noticed any difference in grip strength between the two! (But I guess there could in theory be an extra magnet there?) Regarding charging, I don't have a wireless charger so I can't say for sure, but there are some videos floating around on TH-cam suggesting you can charge through the PopSocket (although again I have never tried it!).
Oh really? The pill doesn’t have a second magnet at the dip part where the cases do? I totally thought they did that’s why a pill version was even made.
Regarding the charging what do you mean? I just meant I saw another company have a grip that is extremely thin and it used adhesive to stick to the phone but can still charge with a wireless charger

Also I apologize, I misunderstood your charging question, I never tried wireless charging with it, but there are some videos on TH-cam suggesting it does work without taking it off, although I can't verify!
the pill shape has a function. It is easier to remove by gliding it off
Interesting -- I haven't noticed a significant difference in the ease of taking off one vs the other, but if people want something bigger to hold onto when taking it off the pill version is definitely bigger!
Is the pill one more magnetic though?
It's the same, I haven't noticed any difference in the magnetism.
