Elevator Review - UF Reitz Union

NOTE: This video is not to be submitted as part of EME2040 Module 5
This will be a tour of all the elevators at the UF Reitz Union! There are 4 elevators here: welcome center, bookstore, “blue,” and “orange.”
Both the welcome center are Kone Series 220 hydros, both with good motors. The blue bank was originally something older, modernized by Montgomery, then modernized again by Oracle with Innovation prestige. These lifts are classic bottom-drive traction. The orange bank was installed in 2017 as part of a renovation to the building, which feature two glass Otis Gen2s that go a whopping 350 FPM for just 5 floors - SUPER efficient.

Good thing to know about the foot buttons on the Orange Elevators! Hopefully you’ll see more of the elevators with those foot buttons made by Wikk Industries as you go around the UF campus.
