I agree with Shyan42 the soap is so pretty and you can see flowers from your swirl. I have seen multiple videos and never knew you could use white mica to reduce acceleration to keep soap pourable. Nice video and thanks for the great tips. Lovely work.

To answer your questions, I made my own hanger with a 1/8 inch diameter, stainless-steel rod that I purchased from a local hardware store. Then, I bend it to the mold dimensions. I have 2 of them. I also have a flexible hanger tool that I can bend to any dimensions. I got it from Brambleberry.com, but haven't used it yet. I always cure soap for 6 weeks, but soap is safe to use as soon as it is saponified. Just check to make sure all the lye is gone. I use a chemical test for that. For cold process soap, the 6 week cure is for getting a nice, hard bar with most of the water evaporated. Some soaps, like Castile and 100% coconut oil soap need to cure for a year, but I haven't made those recently. I hope this information helps, and happy soaping! :) ione

The problem used to be only with TD, but now they add TD to white mica, making it a culprit too. When I use a large portion of these products, I refrigerate the soap so it doesn't heat up and go through gel phase. Happy soaping! :) ione
