WOW! Your soap is gorgeous. Well done Amy! You didn't say if you are entering your soap into the challenge. If you do, best of luck in winning! Thank you so much for mentioning me in your description. I appreciate your thoughtfulness as well as integrity. You've always been a favorite soap maker, one I want to aspire to. Thank you, Amy! :) ione
Thank you, Ione!! In this case I aspire to be like you!! I decided against entering this time. It was fun to just test my skills. I can see how more practice would be beneficial. 😅
It is so funny that I found this conversation. I started soaping about a year and a half ago. Eve’s Garden… one of your videos was the first I ever saw, and I absolutely loved your swirls. There is a video, it is a spring soap, that I keep going back to. I have watched you do that soap so many times… it is just so beautiful to me. Later, I learned about Amy, and now, I aspire to be as good as both of you!! You are both so inspirational. Thank you for your beautiful designs. 😊
@@bridgettemeyer6326 That's so awesome, Bridgette!! Personally, I feel like I was able to get better at soapmaking from practice because it's just so stinkin fun! 🎉
@@AmyWarden I know!! I bought so many from them. A little goes a long way. It was just when I was starting out so I didn’t know that I was buying way too much!! I have about 6 colors left.
Fantastic soap! I sure enjoyed watching you make this beautiful design. Thanks for taking the time to record your technique and for sharing it with us. Also, how did I NOT know you had a TH-cam channel, Amy????🤦🏼♀️ So happy to have found you here. Hope you and your family are well. God bless!🙏🏼❤️
Absolutely stunning. I loved that you used the Navy. I took a break from soaping 2 years ago and am ready to get back into it. You've inspired me again Amy . Thanks for sharing
Both these soaps are gorgeous Amy ❤👌👏 I am a huge fan of Ione and absolutely adore the Bouquet swirl soap videos on her TH-cam channel youtube.com/@EvesGardenSoaps Her videos are a treat to watch everytime. She has a very calm and endearing on-screen personality, always replies to comments and her soap designs come out unfailingly stunningly beautiful everytime, with the most wonderful colour combinations.
@@AmyWarden Thanks, Amy! Such a beautiful soap 😍 I'm going to check out Design Mania's May edition for the recipe! I've never done 4 colors before, 3 tops. I'm definitely going to try this!
Thank you, Cindy!! I wouldn't take that as a hard and fast rule. It's always good to test a small amount of colorant in some water to see if it dissolves or not. I've found discrepancies from supplier to supplier on the same colorant. 😀
Are you asking how long to blend until it reaches emulsification? Because that varies from batch to batch. You just have to blend in short bursts and do a lot of hand stirring until you see that the batter is holding together on the stick blender shaft or the back of a stainless spoon.

color choice is wonderful, I can see this is has a learning curve, but with practice and patients ( which I lack) it could be a rewarding outcome.

So beautiful!! May I ask where your mini blender is from???
I found it on Amazon before the pandemic. I've tried to find one similar ever since...
@@AmyWarden Aw I’ve been on the hunt for one. If I ever find it Ill let send you the link too :)

Really beautiful, and I learned that ultramarines have to be dispersed in water.
Thank you, Cindy!! I wouldn't take that as a hard and fast rule. It's always good to test a small amount of colorant in some water to see if it dissolves or not. I've found discrepancies from supplier to supplier on the same colorant. 😀
Now with your mixture for the navy since it is the primary color of the soap, will this produce a blue lather as well?
You might think so, but I did some testing and it was only slightly gray.
믹싱볼 어디서 구매하셨는지 여쭤봅니다 ~
I just happened to find it at Old Time Pottery! instagram.com/p/Cqnd0wmhwVS/

Thanks for the encouragement!! I tried doing mass production and it just wasn't for me. Hopefully others will though! 🙌
How do you know how long to emulsify?
Are you asking how long to blend until it reaches emulsification? Because that varies from batch to batch. You just have to blend in short bursts and do a lot of hand stirring until you see that the batter is holding together on the stick blender shaft or the back of a stainless spoon.
@@AmyWarden yes they is the answer I was seeking. Thank you
When I get soda ash, I just hit it with my steamer and buh bye goes the ash!
Yes, that's a great trick!
Hi friend. It's pronounced "luss-see", NOT "laa-see". So basically don't prolong the a sound, it's a short "a". and instead pronounce two Sses.
Good to know! Thanks!
