I'd rather not compare the two. Both of them did a good job at showing the symbiote's influence in different perspectives.
In the movie, the symbiote only influenced his negative traits and turned him more confident of himself and more brash while also being feral, hence the dancing around New York like no tomorrow, slapping MJ after trying to get into a fist fight and showing no remorse for seemingly killing Marko.
In the game, the symbiote literally but gradually takes over Peter's consciousness and turns him more and more unhinged, hence why he starts attacking everyone in his vicinity including MJ and Miles. I like how Kraven being a dickhead is how the Symbiote fully took over Peter and turned him batshit insane.
I love the “destroy us?” Line because it shows just how under the symbiotes influence we are

I like all the little details you get when you do certain side missions with the Black Suit. Like during the Hunter missions, if you complete them during the time Peter is wearing the Black Suit, instead of feeling sorrowful at the Kravinoffs for having been killed by their own kin, he’ll just say “good riddance” and show zero remorse at their deaths

Peter waking up and wondering why it felt like he had 'the best sleep of his life' is terrifying when you consider that the symbiote was just piloting his unconscious body and wrecking havoc without him ever knowing. And the suit hadn't even gained full control over him yet like it eventually did when it latched onto Harry. Just think of how much worse things could've been if Peter didn't get the suit off in time.

It really just depends on the versions of symbiote. Like in Spectacular spiderman the symbiote genuinely liked and cared for Peter, but couldn't seem to understand how negatively it was impacting him and his friendships. Then there are versions where it doesn't care, it's just using and manipulating the host for it's own purposes

@@Kishisuke My problem with the symbiote is that it never talks to Peter when he has it. It's only AFTER it becomes Venom is when it talks to Pete. You would think the symbiote would talk and explain exactly what it wants and why, and that it cares about him. But it always waits until it's too late. And also Venom seems very selfish in this game. I don't think he really cares about people he just wants to spread and infect everything

Venom is possessive over peter bcoz basically it recognizes how strong he is as a host than harry or anyone else is but harry cant make decisions as good as peter so maybe it talks for harry but not for peter? Thats my head canon for why harry and venom got perfect fusion (host is dependant and venom is strong so it has to take active measures to keep harry safer so it talks) but for peter it was more like host is strong and intelligent so venom just gave its powers chilling in the back mostly
I think this is also why venom got super aggressive mentally and physically when it lost peter (no one to keep it in control after it had a strong host like peter before, so venom became dominant to save harry)
With peter it looked like a frndly bond and mutual relationship

@@quietdemon8138 Sorry for the late reply, but yeah, [PROTOTYPE] was essentially the prototype (no pun intended, ha!) game that would've been the Spider-Man 4 game had Sam Raimi kept the film series going... but honestly, the whole Sam Raimi vs Sony Executives debacle is WAY too deep of a rabbit hole to talk about on here.
I've also heard that some of the engine and assets from [PROTOTYPE] and [PROTOTYPE 2] were used for The Amazing Spider-Man tie-in movie game.

Thee symbiote is more "compatible" with Peter. Hence why it doesn't want to leave him.
The Symbiote is evolving, with Peter he reaches all his frustrations and anger, that he deals with WAY more than Harry. When it returns to Harry, he just amps it up as well, to keep up with what he had with Peter
my theory is that it was reacting with peters spidersense, it dialed up its senses to 11 and started interpreting everything as a threat, causing the host to act out more, and thats when the host is a superhero, so get the sensitive unstable symbiote and move it to a angry unstable host like harry.. you get venom

See the game producers took alot from the comics ,in the game harry has cancer but in the comics it's Eddy who has cancer ,also the little circles on the symbiotes is from carnage in the comics when he gained a power boost ,peters anti venom suit is from the comics as well but I forget who actually wears it . Basically if the producers of this game wouldn't have taken aspects from the comics this game wouldn't have been this long . Not that it's a bad game just pointing out a few things.
