These videos have been so incredible and refreshing. To hear someone talk so openly about mental health in such a relatable way isn’t common enough.

Everything about this video made my heart so happy. You're surrounded by so much love and support and it's so beautiful to see everybody come together for you to make such a beautiful garden to create memories in. It makes it 100 times more special to look out the window and know how much love and laughter went into making it.

I'm literally crying cause I miss my friends so much. After having kids, we kind of drifted apart. Not intentionally, but between them living their best lives and me taking on the life of a mom, there really isn't a lot we could do. I'm so happy you have your friends to help you through this.

I've had anxiety since I was a kid. I've managed much better but recently been diagnosed with an autoimmune issue, so my panic attacks are back. Seeing you learn how to treat yourself kindly when you're having a hard time reminds me to do the same. Also Dumpling and Archie are adorable.
I’ve yet to start my mental health recovery journey, and I just want to say thank you for posting these videos. Before I kind of had the idea that once I start medication I’d be “cured” and everything would get better immediately. But now I’m fully aware it’s going to be process and take a while, but that’s better because I won’t be distraught when my illusions of grandeur turn out to be completely false. Watching things videos makes me feel like I’m on a video call with a close friend and it’s so comforting. Love you Alex

When I was still living with my parents (in a country, now I live in a city with no space to chicken), I had a chicken who everytime when I sit down came to me, jumped on my lap and started sleeping. Her name was Iines (finnish name version from Daisy Duck), and she was the most wonderful chicken of all times
My husband was wondering what I was watching, and the only way I could describe you is the Australian version of me, but having powers over birds like I have over fuzzy/furry critters. They follow me the way the birds follow you. He didn't believe me until he saw a chicken cuddling and falling asleep next to you in bed. That was so cute.

And people need to realize that there is nothing to be ashamed of and that they just need to reach out and ask for help, thank you Alex for opening up about what you are going through and what you went through. You have wonderful people around you, your parents, Dan, and your wonderful friends. All of them willing to give you are helping hand when you ask, and I can tell how much you love them back💖.
I hope you know this made a dream of mine come true. I ADORE chickens. I don’t know why. Being surrounded by chickens even on a screen truly made me happy. Thank you Alex!

Hey Alex, I just wanted to say a big thank you to you! Since you've opened up about your mental health and your struggles, I found similar things in my behaviour and I've just now reached out to a psychotherapist to test for adhd. If it weren't for your videos, I wouldn't even have made the connection and the thought process of "well, shit, that could be, what's bothering me, too". I don't have the results in just now, but the first step is done, all thanks to you. So just keep on making content, you're amazing and helping so many of us out there!

The more clustered your flowers are the less weeds will grow!!! Any sun that directly hits dirt is basically a weeds dream home. The more plants: the more shade. The more shade, the less food for the weeds. No food means they won't grow there!
Ends up being great cuz you get to buy more flowers too, haha.

While Lola may be an emotional support chicken for a human, I believe that Lola's emotional support is a human. That happy chicken ASMR is so comforting. Even better was watching so many friends help out in the "garden view for the office" project. While handling worms may be a step too far for me, I appreciate their work and value their presence...from afar.
Yes to chicken lo-fi study videos! 🐔 I can't study to actual music with lyrics or podcasts, I just get distracted. But rain sounds and room ambience paired with a sound cancelling head set has been a life saver for me studywise.
Also, you are helping so many people with these videos, Alex ❤ Mental health is talked about a lot more than it used to, but the less glamourous aspects of it, especially problems with personal hygiene, tidyness or cleanliness, is still such a taboo. Especially for women I think. You are so brave 🙌

So my Dad has raced pigeons his whole life.
The nice thing now is that a lot of the racing pigeon setups now have electronic pads that read electric rings on the pigeons legs so the only need to be caught to go to races, training and medication. Honestly he would of been a vulnerable racer pigeon because he’s so white he would be a stand out for hawks or other birds of prey etc so it’s a great thing that you got him x

I had a semi similar day yesterday for me. I had a friend over I hadnt seen in weeks. And a friend of mine I finally got to meet IRL. Bc they moved to my city. We had a mini dinner party outside and my new IRL friend brought their husky and I gave them move in presents and stuff. And I gave them food to take home as well. I made rice and my husband had made potato. He wasnt able to be there but we had his fried potato with my rice and strawberry lemonade and just chatted. All of us have ADHD/autism from memory. Unless new IRL friend doesnt but I think they do? Anyways you can guess how those conversations went. Random. Disjointed. Segmented. Me mentioning something, my friend like OH THAT REMINDS ME OF THIS ONE TIME. And so on and so forth. I barely remember what we talked about. But it was amazing and much needed.

I couldn’t help but laugh when you re-entered the room to find Dumpling had worked out how to find the mirror again! It reminded me when I had 5 rabbits who lived in two different parts of the house, I’d fix some chaos in one part of the house and then walk into the other part to find more chaos! I sadly had to rehome my babies when I changed career, now I have a pet snail that I can take with me everywhere!

This reminded me how much I loved hens as a kid. I used to go feed them with my grandpa, and sat really still (and let them peck me while eating from my hands) so as to not spook them.
Never got to actually pet one though, so seeing Lola turn into a contented pile of feathers was very satisfying.

I can not thank you enough as I was able to share the information regarding ADHD/OCD video with my niece's and two of their doctors/therapists are now looking into it. Also my best friend, her daughter and her great niece are now going to the doctor's. As someone who has fibromyalgia, anxiety and depression, watching you has helped me, when you brush your teeth or put clean clothes on so do I.
