Thanks for posting this video. I stopped at Blue Point today. I assumed the gate was locked, but I'm noticing it's just a latching horse gate. I'm new to trail and off roading so I'm trying to find fun trails for the family in a 4WD Tundra. This looks like a good one!
Yeah you bet. Bulldog Canyon area is pretty fun. The hardest part of this specific trail is at 7:30 in the video. Make sure you get the Bulldog Canyon permit from the Recreation.gov website. You will need it on this trail and it gives you the padlock codes for the gates. You don’t want to get to the other end and you can’t get out (plus it is required and it is pretty cheap.). Thanks for checking out the video. Have fun.
I've done bulldog canyon from every entrance and backwards. It's like a big off road park! My favorite time is after the monsoon season rolls by. Then it's all tore up, rutted, and lots of rocks scattered everywhere. It's cool because I only live about 12 miles from it.
Fun trails. A little of everything, sand, rocks, up hill, down hill. Hit the main north south trail last week and it had some pretty good ruts back in the canyon.
Just did Phon this weekend in the jeep, would have been a blast in a buggy, was kind of brutal with the jeep if you didn't air down and soften the shock settings. Loved it all though, mid ground cleatance, very mildly technical trail.

I'm a new trail guy, is there a lot of trail pinstriping going on there or is it pretty clear for a new midsize truck

Trail is about 8.5 miles so around 3 to 3.5 hours give or take. Thanks for watching.
Good video... Is trail ok if you don't prefer trail pinstriping?
Last time I ran this the pinstripes weren’t bad.

Is blue point the bush hwy gate?
Yes, it is the Bush Highway gate. The Forest Service refers to it as Blue Point on their maps.
