Nice! I ran into a Vietnam vet over the weekend who noticed I had a CX130. He showed me his (I think) CX180 and we started talking about video. That's cool you got another CX110.
I actually forgot to thank you for keeping the summer alive by showing this early spring ride video. It definitely gives me the feeling that it is amusement weather even on the east coast. Thanks again Bob~ Rob
Nice job Bob! I really loved the tilt-shift segment in the middle. I also love that final shot from the parking lot. I haven't been to the IX since 1998. I need to go back someday.
I haven't been to the I-X Center since the 8th grade, I use to go every year as a kid. What happened to the Water Coaster and the "Space Coaster"? They most likely got rid of them. It doesn't look crowded anymore either, it used to be packed with people in the IX; memories... lol.
Some of the larger chains, such as Six Flags are now contemplating just that for parts of the country that are a good distance from the nearest larger theme park...
Thanks man! It was fun just being there. My new, cheap Canon Powershot camera has a tilt-shift effect that I'm totally loving...just trying to figure out what works and what doesn't.
Hey Rob! It's an impressive sight inside that building. And it can get pretty loud in there too! I think all of the rides were electric powered. It was nice to get in one more ride video before the season starts for real April 28th! Nice to hear from you.
This indoor amusement park is awesome! It's just the ticket people need to forget their winter depression! There's enough thrills, chills and fun for the whole family! Gosh, I wish this company expanded their operations to include more snow bound states so people can beat their long, cold, depressing winter blues while having terrific/sensational fun INDOORS! *Sigh.* One can only hope, wish and imagine!
Man some of these rides are so dope! never seen some of these at the fair i work at..they should have this kind of stuff juring the winter seasons everywhere,
starship is a pain..! i went on it once and felt sick to my stomach. and i can handle those types of rides. great video as always.. look forward to seeing you at cedar point.. going back for my 7th year
Thanks for the advice. Disney does some great work with tilt shift video and most of it's shot from afar. Tough to find high vantage points that don't move! :) BTW, just ordered another CX110!! They don't make 'em anymore so I thought I'd buy another...current one's getting worn out.
wow cool video geez that building must be huge to house all those epic looking rides well thats cool if its raining cats and dogs at least you can enjoy the fair without getting wet
This building was was owned by the US Military. They at one time used to build army tanks there. It has 2,200,00sq ft of exhibition space. It is the largest in the USA. Just look up I-X Center on wikipedia
I'm exited now cause they have all my favorite rides, cause last year or the year before they took a couple rides out, so I'm glad to know there there this year! :)
Great video, once again. I almost went there a few years back. Also, do they rotate these rides fairground style? Rides like G-Force and the Pirate Ship ride (can't remember the name and can't read it in the video) are actually 2 out of quite a few rides I had ridden at the Canfeild Fair in 2005/06 just a couple hours from there.
Very nice effect with the Ferris wheel going through the roof of the building. Just an amazing amount of rides to put indoors too. That place must have been gigantic. Are these instruments all being run by electric power? An amazing view at 4:57. The high speed is superb. This whole video was edited in true Coaster Bob fashion. It is almost that time of the season again where you will be sharing your incredible footage of the parks. I look forward to it. Thanks Bob~ Rob/Boston
Hey Bob, I have lived in Ohio my entire life and I have never heard of this amusement park. Is is close to CP? I might check it out this summer if it isn't too much out of the way......
These are actually coming into vogue once again...Although smaller in size, they're a hit in parts of the country where larger theme parks shut down during the cold months...
I freaking LOVE the Thunderbolt! Their Twister seems much more fun, funkier and faster than all the other (lame) one's I've ever gone to at either amusement parks, Midways or carnivals! I LOVE The Freak Out! I was trying to see the name of that other fun ride I love so much that was shown after The Freak Out! OMG! The Crazy Mouse is AWESOME and had me FREAKING out when I rode it but I LOVED every minute!
Pretty standard carnival and boardwalk rides but cool for places that have long winter months and have to close for the season.Could benefit from theming.
No, it only runs for about a month and a half. The I-X center holds all different events year round from auto shows, to boat and outdoor shows. But the carnival is at the i-x center longer then anyother event.
This looks like SOOOOO much freaking FUHHHHHNNNNN!!! I would LOVE to beat the snowy, icy winter blues in a place like this! Too bad it only exists in Cleveland, Ohio you lucky dawwwwgs!!
I can't stomach many of these rides, especially Starship! 7 years at CP huh? Cool! I worked there for 7 seasons. It was hard work but I made a lot of great friends. I'll be lookin for you!
This is not permanent. Only there for a few weeks. Right now the Cleveland auto-show is going on. The only thing that stays is the ferris wheel Because it's up high and actually a lot bigger in person. But also, the amusement park is expensive, not worth it. Only one or two years did they have a small roller coaster there

I haven't been to the IX since 1998. I need to go back someday.
They shut it down
It’s was on the news it’s done no more indoor park
@@leonor7239 Yes, I believe they closed it last year for good.
Always a good time hanging out. Love the video you got, especially some of the POVs.
This looks absolutely wonderful! What an amazing family trip this would make! Excellent videography also!
Nicely done. Well photographed, very colorful and great detail. They seem to have everything on the planet there except full-sized roller coasters
That's amazing your camera has that built in. Try shooting a lot of aerial stuff. That seems to work for still tilt shift pictures.
I wish it was all year long. It was only there for about 3-1/2 weeks. Won't be back until March 2013.
The I-X Center is in Cleveland, next to the airport. Unfortunately, the amusement park isn't open year-round. Last day (for now) is April 15th.
I haven't been to the I-X Center since the 8th grade, I use to go every year as a kid. What happened to the Water Coaster and the "Space Coaster"? They most likely got rid of them. It doesn't look crowded anymore either, it used to be packed with people in the IX; memories... lol.
It's open for about a month during March and April every year. You can go to ixcenter.com for more info.
It should be there again next spring. It'll be posted on their website
I go there every year with my family and sometimes my friends! It's really fun I can't wait to go again!
It's only a week long event. It's right next to the Cleveland airport. It goes on through April 15!
I had a great time! You guys are the best. After seeing the YoYo POV when I got home, I realized I should have done more of those.
Some of the larger chains, such as Six Flags are now contemplating just that for parts of the country that are a good distance from the nearest larger theme park...
Thank you! I wish I knew what they do with the rides in the long off-season. I would assume they make the rounds at county fairs and the like.
Thanks man! It was fun just being there. My new, cheap Canon Powershot camera has a tilt-shift effect that I'm totally loving...just trying to figure out what works and what doesn't.
Thank you! I hope that you have a good time during your visit to the USA. Be sure to make videos! My season starts in one week...
Hey Rob! It's an impressive sight inside that building. And it can get pretty loud in there too! I think all of the rides were electric powered. It was nice to get in one more ride video before the season starts for real April 28th! Nice to hear from you.
This place looks better than some of the theme parks I've been to!
Great editing & blur effect! I'd love to get myself down there!
This indoor amusement park is awesome! It's just the ticket people need to forget their winter depression! There's enough thrills, chills and fun for the whole family! DONDE ES?!
Is this open all year or is it like a state fun fair that's only temporary? Cheers
What's the ride called at 7:46
3:47 who manufactured that u shaped roller coaster thing?
Man some of these rides are so dope! never seen some of these at the fair i work at..they should have this kind of stuff juring the winter seasons everywhere,
I went to the IX amusement park one time with my sister and my parents when I was little. I don't remember it being that great though.
Thank you! It's a great place for someone like me who likes to film rides.
onde e isso?
how many roller coasters???
That looks like a very cool place to go to. Thanks for sharing.
starship is a pain..! i went on it once and felt sick to my stomach. and i can handle those types of rides. great video as always.. look forward to seeing you at cedar point.. going back for my 7th year
This is pretty neat. Wish we had something like this in NJ. I'm a Theme Park Maniac and love all the rides, not just the coasters!
is that park temporary or periment and do the rides get used for fairs
I used to go here every year when I was a kid. Last time I was here was probably 98 or 99. Haven't though about this place for a long time.
Thanks for the advice. Disney does some great work with tilt shift video and most of it's shot from afar. Tough to find high vantage points that don't move! :) BTW, just ordered another CX110!! They don't make 'em anymore so I thought I'd buy another...current one's getting worn out.
I went yesterday and It was PACKED!! The wait for Crazy Mouse was over 30 minutes and the wait for Freak Out was over 20 minutes
Great videography - nicely done!
wow cool video geez that building must be huge to house all those epic looking rides well thats cool if its raining cats and dogs at least you can enjoy the fair without getting wet
Does it go on all year?
I think you got a shot of me on Racer load side at the end of the night Saturday.
lol.
What do u use to edit with for all of UR videos?
Awesome footage!

where is it
Do u think this place is still open
Cleveland, Ohio
+Angel M Yes it is, it opens at again March 25th and closes April 16 I believe. It opens once every year
Was this the first day?
It's a temporary thing. I don't know what they do with the rides but I would think they'd use them for other fairs.
When is this open? I would come down there just to come here!!!
Where is it?
I'm exited now cause they have all my favorite rides, cause last year or the year before they took a couple rides out, so I'm glad to know there there this year! :)
indoor fair?
I demand a full-length video of you sitting in one of the twisty bears for five minutes. Excitement abounds.
how much is it
where is this carnvial company from ?
Great video, once again. I almost went there a few years back. Also, do they rotate these rides fairground style? Why does it always look dead there
These are actually coming into vogue once again...Although smaller in size, they're a hit in parts of the country where larger theme parks shut down during the cold months...
I hope soon I can go there.
RFlyer01 made a video 1 year before you first visited.
He does a great job. I watched that video before I made my first visit to get an idea of what to expect.
at 3:24 who saw the railings shake??
I freaking LOVE the Thunderbolt! Their Twister seems much more fun, funkier and faster than all the other (lame) one's I've ever gone to at either amusement parks, Midways or carnivals! This looks like SOOOOO much freaking FUHHHHHNNNNN!!! I would LOVE to beat the snowy, icy winter blues in a place like this! Too bad it only exists in Cleveland, Ohio you lucky dawwwwgs!!
