pretty sure they'd have to do a completely new song for Eurovision because ESC does not allow submission of already released songs - either way, would be epic!
@@KathyClysm actually they can use the song. ESC accepts unreleased songs OR songs released after 01.09.21 „Mitmachen konnte jeder mit einem eigenen Song, der noch nicht oder nicht vor dem 1. September 2021 veröffentlicht wurde“
I think that ending only really works with the video. It's a great ending regardless, but it doesn't really hit without the visual of him throwing the bar through the roof
As a fan of the '80s, metal(core), hardstyle techno and being German - THIS IS EVERYTHING Just ashamed I haven't discovered this band sooner. Scheiße Mann
The weight lifters! The 80s aerobics! The breakdown! This song is perfect for me. Love your reaction - especially the Arnold bleep faces hahahahahah. "I want to PUMP *clap* YOU UP!"
Two things I never do... Watch ESC, and don't even think of voting on the German contestant :D (you already beat us at football all the time, so I wouldn't want to contribute to any other win)... But if Eskimo Callboy will be entered, I'd do both! About the song... This took two or three listens before I got into it, but I find with Eskimo Callboy the video makes it so much easier to love their songs at a first listen. It's like the song on it's own is 75% of the experience, and the video completes the 125%, if that makes sense. Loved the video (and song, don't worry), and I am going to be watching the VOD of the stream again. Thanks Tank for another fun reaction! #Tank4Tech !
the drummer "Bela B." from the german punk rock band "die ärzte", has been playing standing since the 90s. The aerobic outfits remind me a bit of "Eric Price - call on me" from the early 2000s. nevertheless, eskimo callboy is definitely one of my favorite bands with a great sound
Nico is the pretty boy that goes to the aerobics classes to pick up chicks. Kevin is the muscle head that goes to the weight room to compete with other guys. The song is a basically a duel between the two of them as to which is the better workout. Also, that transition from the first harsh vocal verse back to the chorus, perfection. Nico echos the same line "I want to feel it day and night", and the switch from heavy/harsh to synth/clean is so seamless you barely even notice that it happened. That blend is where they really stand apart.
I’ve been yelling “I WANNA FEEL IT DAY AND NIGHT” at my fiancé for probably 5 days now, this track is infectious and I can’t help but want more. Hopefully they hit their mastering deadline so we can get the album asap hahaha. Great as always man. See you in the next one!
Every time Eskimo Callboy comes out with a new song I always say "Eh, its not as good as the last one." But I usually end up listening to the song a couple more times and end up loving it just as much as the last song. They just know how to make fun music.
EC are maybe are the next gen of music broadcasting. They understood perfectly how the fans communicate, and they integrated it to the full experience. Funny to look back at this video and to think you are their tour manager now, thanks you for introducing me to this band. There are so many new youtubers doing reaction videos to them and they are about to blow up in the US
This music video instantly reminds me of "Eric Prydz - Call On Me" music video (it was a very popular song in Poland when I was teenager), I think this could be their inspiration. And the treadmill drummer reminds me of Rammstein's treadmill keyboard player (I think it was in Du Hast live where he was walking treadmill while playing keyboard). Edit: also the title reminded me of Danzel - Pump It Up, but I don't think it's referenced here.

yea live drums are a huge plus for a show. I wouldn't wanna miss the drummers in the bands HVOB or Crystal Castles. Also chvrches recently added livedrums into their lineup. good to see!
I've been listening to music for over fifty years. I consider Eskimo Callboy fun, fun, fun with great pop hooks, great metal and brilliant videos. I cannot wait for their new album even though it may not be until 2022. If they get through to the Eurovision Song Contest next year with this song (if allowed), I shall watch it even though I haven't watched Eurovision for years.

almost 3 mill. clicks, that´s quite a number, many german bands can only dream of that, interestingly, they are loved abroad and in germany people talk "bad" about the boys - as a german, I don't understand that myself ... just sad :/

I once heard this song on Nightshift on ICU in Hospital. The 2 female Nurses i worked with this night freaked out about this song and told me to play something "More friendly". Sadly they liked "Hypa Hypa" neither... But it was funny as hell. :D
its funny when you talk about not needing an emotional connection to the music. I get very emotional and nostalgic on some EC song especially the old ones. Eskimo was my first mosh pit ever with WBTBWB and any given day as support.

I absolutely love this song. Brilliant music video. "Eskimo Callboy" are another fantastic band that I discovered on this channel, and they are now one of my favourite bands. Awesome reaction video Tank 👍
Thanks for your breakdown! I have been binging all your content with Electric Callboy, and I really appreciate that you take the time to teach about the gear and such!
We played two shows with them like 2009 or so before their commercial breakthrough and they were at that point already nearly mature professionals. This Band promoted to world class in such a quick time, using these electro beats like hanni kohl and panic at the disco at that time. I'm really surprised to see which enormous impact they have been developed throughout the years towards worldwide fame. That's really funny.
since u mentioned the movie "perfect" as a reference, im pretty sure the whole part with the girl aerobic calls is taken from eric prydz " call on me" music video :)
Hey man I love your reactions. Your knowledge of all the equipment and those "fun facts" you put in there really make you stand out from the rest, keep it up! (I just noticed a little mistake in your description, the song you used in the end should be "Exorzist" and not "IMWMM")

I watched Eskimo Callboy's reaction to your reaction which made me come here. I think reaction videos are stupid, but they talked about how you give facts and background info. I really liked your commentary on all of this and the insight you brought. I honestly didn't realize Nico was new. I was introduced to them in July of 2020 which was apparently right after he joined. I LOVE him. Thanks Tank for the great commentary and info and I will be checking out more of these from you!
Love your reactions. There are not many people that put so many additional facts in their videos. Most of them just press the recording and the upload button. Greetings from Hamburg 🇩🇪
I went back and watched some of your older videos from a year ago when you first started your channel and you looked so young only a year ago also your beard as grown out a lot more since you started your channel. and i could be wrong but you have more tattoos possibly. what a difference a year makes i am glad the charismatic voice mentioned you in one of her videos she did or i never would have discovered your channel.
Eskimo Callboy are getting a lot of attention from people who would otherwise avoid metal or aren’t used to it, while also showing a lot of musicianship, production input, and genre blending. People that like 80s pop music, electronic music, rap, and even metal can join in. It’s good to have the purists who protect the core of the current (or longstanding) expression of a style, and also have those those that stretch the limits. I think truly musical people can enjoy and be influenced by “opposite” musical genres, and bring them together in composition.
Loved your reaction!! 🙏

Dude i LITERALLY (not actually literally) saw that video a million times on YT alrdy yet i was waiting for your reaction SO MUCH... Just makes every song a little bit more fun to listen to:)
PLEASE LISTEN to this band. Conquer & Divide - Atonement. All female band that f**king rocks
I don’t think me and my wife have ever bought concert tickets so quickly in years as we did today for Eskimo Callboy 😂
God, your reactions are so fun and wholesome to watch. You just look so happy and energetic talking about the stuff you love.
The US needs a German band tour here in the US...Annisokay and Eskimo Callboy together in particular...would be an absolute blast.
What can you say about this band...exactly, no words can describe them. Oh no, I have one...Genius.
since u mentioned the movie "perfect" as a reference, im pretty sure the whole part with the girl aerobic calls is taken from eric prydz " call on me" music video :)
Also I love the reference to "Eric Prydz - Call on me"
Hey man I love your reactions. Your knowledge of all the equipment and those "fun facts" you put in there really make you stand out from the rest, keep it up! (I just noticed a little mistake in your description, the song you used in the end should be "Exorzist" and not "IMWMM")
Oh nice catch! I don’t know why I put that in there. Possibly due to 3:00am editing and dad brain. Hahaha
The ultimate gym track doesn't exci...HOLD MY MINERALGETRÄNK!!!
Tank - u & Nik Nocturnal making the best reaction's out here on TH-cam - keep up the awesome work - love u all, greetings from germany
Thanks a ton!
The reason for the shortness of the video is the three-minute rule at the Eurovision Song Contest. A maximum of three minutes is allowed.
You absolutely know the drummer took a cue from Fleck of Rammstein for this video!! 🤘🤘
The last chunky section really reminds me of some old school Korn hahaha. Seriously, I love this video so very much!
These scenes when Nico exercises with pretty ladies are huge reference to Eric Prydz's "Call on me" video - it was huge hit in Europe in 2004. 😅
