Thanks for the all the tips on Law. I’m trying to learn him as my second character and this video it’s what I was looking for, especially for the pokes (my main is not a poking character and I didn’t want to choose Feng)
I do have to say, Im impressesed with your title and tumbnail game. quite well exicuted troughout your channel. I think you def will be going places if you keep this up.
Notes from a long time law main: throw punishes only work on powercrushes and rage arts uf3 is a better mid mix for slide than ws2 (safe) u3,4 works if u mix it in with going into slide mix and opponents get anxious to interrupt use df2 to track his weak side on a read Good vid u earned a sub!
I would rather make them guess extra using UF4,3 from crouch, them waiting for the second one made it safe to use, trying to punish the first hit optimally will get them launched instead, getting floated from them interrupting the second hit only gets him a floated combo, way less damage compared to a punished WS2
Damn that was a long and well done guide, thank you. One thing tho: 42:10 Don't use throws as punish for normal attacks, they can still break it. It only works as a true punish for armored moves. Also, CH d1(3) is a normal launcher it just uses the T7 screw animation, so you can use a tornado afterwards. :)
It’s weird. I used to play Tekken as Law for his cool Bruce Lee type moves but now I’m learning more about the mechanics of the game, it’s not really a fighting game to me anymore, it’s more a game of chess disguised with people punching and kicking each other.
Whenever I play Tekken 7, I think the same. It requires time and concentration to learn more about this game other than just fighting, like punishment training and mechanims.
3+4, 4 and Legend kick has a funny property whereby if it is done close enough it registers as a mid for some reason. I saw someone who tried ducking at close range still get hit by it even though they were ducking.
Wait for his foot to touch the ground, the second his leg comes around from the second kick press 4 while holding forward, a good way to train is to go to practice mode and turn on counterhits, then practice doing 43 legend kick, it will teach you to do the timing quickly
Thank you so much Brother! 🥸👍 Very comprehensive guide, helped my Law a ton! A very good trick I learned with his fwd 3,1 into DSS is to do his uf 1+2 throw after. Liked and subbed, Cheers 💯
For the combos, you can ignore the "micro dash" part, just do a deeper fF4 which is way easier, especially when playing online. Oh and btw you forgot wall combos x)
Loved the guide! Something I would have liked for you to mention is that the fastest move from dss is 12f, so effectively when it comes to frame trapping, you are -2 (+your frames) on every transition e.g. dss1 leaves you 0, but since 12f is your fastest option jabs frome the opponent will beat you. A couple of questions, can you block in dss, and if not do you know how long it takes before you can / what is guranteed to hit if I don’t press? Can you do the parries in dss?
I didn’t word that well What I meant was it would have been nice to mention when transitioning to dss, anything below +2 will frame trap you, and it will be by an additional -2 because your fastest option is 12f e.g. b2, 2f is -3, you are effectively in a -5 frame trap and 15f moves will trade with your fastest dss option
@@chradon.You are minus enough to be jabbed out of a few options but WS 4 into DSS is the main mix here that will lead into F1, 2, slide, or WS4 again. If your opponent jabs with a 10 frame button on the first two options they get put into heat engage pressure or a full on combo. But that’s the risk both you and your opponent make. You’re also crouching quickly during the match so just by beginning this mix your opponent is also guessing whether you’re going for WS4, slide, or using these 2 options to be able to poke with another button. Its pretty potent
The playstyle for Law should be 1. Middle of the ring: Either poke and scramble or poke, scramble, whiff punish. 2. At the wall: Heat engage, either of the parry and punish 3. Back towards the wall: sidestep to whiff punish. What Lambkin doesn't state is this: what makes Law weak character to use is that the startup for Law's safe moves takes forever. So, if an intermediate level player knows how to block, he/she can make your Law whiff can punish your Law to oblivion or interrupt moves by jabbing like Law's Dragon flight in mid air or moves that lead into DSS.
i dont "want to" look through the whole guide but please someone can asnwer this: how do i escape laws nunchuk pancake flip oki? just techroll? i feel he gets me everytime no matter what i do..=?
Idle Eagle Was good guide thanks, What buffs you think he needs in future though?, He has nice high & low options like Lui Kang from MK1 but not much mids strings ?
Hi Idle Eagle, loved the guide! I have 1 question, the combo at 46:11 how do you do a crouch cancel? is it just hold up? I try tapping up but I side step instead, from you input history, it looks like you are pressing up, please let me know thanks
Law is trash in this game in my opinion....T7 is better....they took away every reason for back turn....they nerfed 3+4,4...nerfed his parries....the dude if fucked garbage...they nerfed everything good about....not even a decent parry...magic 4 is gone....that my top 5 move
Hi, thanks for your guide! Is there any tricks to consistently land 4,3 dss f+4 as combo ender? It seems like you need really strict ans precise timing cuz even holing forward and mashing 4 doesn't helps to me. Also are there any other good combo enders except dss cancels?
Glad you liked the guide dude! i will make a guide on dss specifically soon but what i've always done with dss is; do 434. now remember the timing of the last 4. now do 43 and press f+4 a tiny bit before the last kick would've hit from 434 and for the combos, you do need to do the dss cancels for good enough damage in combos really. keep practising and you'll get it down!

Ye it's not bad either, just some matchups have big punishes for i14 so I'd be careful there

Great guide ! I really needed this as im looking into Law as a secondary.
This is a great guide and Tekken 2 was the game that I played for so long so I appreciate all the music

I clicked on the video precisely to learn how to break this throw lol. How can I do it?

absolutely fantastic work. Thank you so much. I stuck in Tenryu right now, this is tremendous help.
Law is going to be the pain the backside that we all hoped for, Wota guide , the mix-ups Mate, good show . GOOD SHOW man.
This is an excellent guide thank you, subbed!
missed wall combos but excellent guide ty
I use up + 3,4
Best Law guide! ❤
Combos are very satisfying
GREAT VID BRO!!!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
Finally got to Shinryu thanks bud
Is there a trick to dash 43holdf into f4 i cant seem to hit the f4 afterwards, i mostly do 3 kicks
You must delay last kick . If you wanna blue sparks - Press the button immediately after the character touches the ground with his foot .
You can either hold Forward , and make it hit
Or bad to make the “ BLUE SPARKLE “ You have to hit back , forward to make the it come out faster
Thanks it's awesome, nice video
hey, I am a Law main, is there a part for frametraps on the video please ?
hey dude, no there's not but i am going to make a video focusing on dss if lots of people want that

so this guide is really great, but i did notice one thing you never talked about was a wall combo
I cant do the combo ender with Dragon Kick in DSS F4....😢

23:00 i do this on the last round to mix them the fuck up when stakes are high and if they've never seen me do it before.
how come when comboing, my 4,3 f4 is super inconsistent? is there a specific timing i need?
Very consistent just need more practice
Feel you bro, same situation!
You missed CH f2~1 as a counter hit launcher. It's hard to catch people with it but it's there. Big damage.
The 1 inch punch is easier to hit than dragon hammer if i remember the inputs correctly enough for this to be relevant. 😂
Anybody know what the background songs are? I just recognize a few of them. 07:12 sounds amazing

no problem dude, glad it's helpful. yeah f3,1 is so much safer than 4,3 too! no more risking 2 highs most of the time to go into dss!
Very good and complete tutorial

how do I make the perfect input? 43 - f4
6:40 you can also heat engage after the knockdown and get a combo
13:30 DF3 on CH you can run and get a numbchuck into a combo
25:20 SS3 CH you can get a F3 into heat, or a 3+44 for damage
