I keep hearing good things about Berzerk too. Emperor’s Soul was excellent. Hope you enjoy it. Fun fact, Eragon was originally selfpub, and then he was picked up.

yayyyy Fullmetal alchemist!!! yes emperor's soul is cosmere, it's in the world of Elantris. I have only read Carrie, that's the only King I have ever read...I can never decide if I'm interested in reading more from him or not
This was a cool book haul Alex- I actually haven't read FMA but I have heard good things about it. Cell was one of my least favourite King books but I hope you enjoy it. I also hope you enjoy Firestarter and The Shining- I actually haven't read Firestarter but I thoroughly enjoyed The Shining back when I read it- I gave it a 5 stars.
Those look interesting and fun which interest me since I make some book trailers for my channel so I always seek stories to get inspired by and several those will so grateful you filmed your picks!
The back page turning is a Japanese thing, being that it is Manga. Also the reading from the right side of the page as opposed to the left, and reading from top to bottom instead of left to right like in English are all related to the Japanese way of writing and reading (not necessarily for Manga reading though, just Japanese books in general). But I am sure you already know that! ☺
@@alexnieves Yeah neither have I, but does bring back memories of when I was in high school and used to read the JUMP manga (thick digests) back in the day!! I am not sure if they have them here in the States, or if they stopped publishing them in Japan. Would be curious to find out though!! lol
Dude Firestarter was the shiz back in the day. Everyone read it and loved it and then they made the movie with Drew Barrymore and people went bonkers. You can't not like it.
If you like anime try some of these: The Devil is a Part Timer, Samurai Champloo, Sword Art Online, Paranoia Agent, Ghost in the Shell SAC, there are many more I could put but I can't remember them all. lol
Really curious what you're gonna think about Berserk. I also grew up on some of those classic shonens but with time my opinion on Shonen has soured and I find it hard to immerse myself in the medium so I thoguht abut trying manga and Berserk will also be my first one!
I have cell on my tbr list I hope you will enjoy firestarter and yes I have heard that the reboot version of firestarter is terrible I'm definitely will not be watching it the drew Barrymore film actually stays close to the book

I did know but it will take getting used to again, I haven't read manga in forever.

Never read the shining but I have watched the movie adaptation and the miniseries version

I read the first 3 mangas of FMA and watched all the episodes/movies. They're amazing.

Berserk beginning is not that strong so you'll have to be a bit patient but Golden Age story arc is extremely good but extremely dark
