Any thoughts on doing a vid about recommendations for women and/or night shift? As a nurse working nights, I find my “schedule” is messed up especially after a few nights on. I really love watching your videos! Really great content. Really solid follow along. You are relaxing to listen to! Thank you!!!!!
My first proper stretching session for over a year now. After 2 small injuries in 2 months I've realized that if I don't find balance to my training (strength/squeeze VS flexion/mobility) I won't be able to continue jiu jitsu as I age. Just finished this one and already feel way better!! Thanks Tom!!
I've very recently started BJJ at 31, partly because I just wanted to learn a new discipline but also because I was mindful of the importance of staying flexible and healthy from 30 onwards and this video helps a lot! I was never too flexible in my teens and 20's but you take it for granted and unfortunately most do not see the importance at that age, including myself!
This was terrific. Would like to see more. Hip and shoulder flexibility are really important to me as a BJJ player. I did struggle with the "Hero" stretch. Very tight quads, so would appreciate any progressions into that stretch that you can suggest. Thanks again. Great stuff!
48 YO BJJ guy here…been in 2 years and since I started doing this a couple times a week, it’s helped tremendously. In flexibility, strength, and seems like I get injured a little less.
I would suggest forearm stretching to this routine! The demands on grip strength and stamina are immense in BJJ, and has caused me a lot of elbow pain because of excessive load on the fingers, similar to what climbers feel
Ive recently discovered MMA and I am so in love and start my first classes for ju jitsu next week. I used to be generally active but quarantine really knocked me off my game I didn’t realized how badly until I did this routine but hell does it feel nice to sweat and breathe like this again :D👌
Yes! Been waiting for this for a while. Stoked to try this out. Will you be coming out with a BJJ mobility as well or is this a combo routine? Thanks for this!
Super helpful video, I used to feel so stiff after a roll but incorporating these has changed everything. Feeling good before, during and after training 🤙💪
Thank you Tom!!! I dont like yoga that much but its very important for flexibility and id rather watch someone that knows about bjj/ martial arts and implements their yoga INTO the sport. Thanks again great job!
I have been getting into BJJ as a new discipline and the early workouts have got me really sore , I felt an immense release from side pancake to upward dog.Good stuff brotha.
@@SM-ov4vl Love that! my mum and dad said theyre gonna let me start so its great to hear from someone with this much experience that its going so well! what belt are you by the way
@@by_men_for_you nice, I’d recommend doing it for at least 6 months because it’ll take a bit of getting used to. Some people join and only stay for a few weeks but that’s not enough to decide if they like it/want to keep doing it imo. I’m a white belt at the moment.
Thanks love this! 46yo and a few months into BJJ. Strength training for years and I throw this onto the end of my barbell sessions, really helps loosen up.
Great video thanks. Ive been trying to decide on either doing the bulletproofforbjj program or if i should do compound lifts 2x per week and do this flexibility routine several times per week.
Do you do Jiu jitsu Tom? I found your by searching for bjj yoga, really enjoyed it, so i tried your new 60 min flexibility routine, absolutely love it... I have subcribed, keep up the good work man!
So i cant sit like like in the beginning so can i achieve these exercises in a criss cross or any could i get a suggestion on any other sitting position to stretch in. amazing video thank you!!!
Tom, my spine at lower back area dont have that curve it is kinda flat and i think that problem is called flat back. Can you make some video about that problem and how to solve it. Love you bro.
Finally got a chance to try this routine. It is awesome. Can you make a routine for after tennis? I am lazy. And it will be awesome if an expert tell me what stretches I should do!! 🤩😁
Hey Tom love your content. I have a question. How can i add technique training ( hanstands front lever muscke ups) to my daily practice without adding them on my 1 hour regular training without affecting my recovery.
ive never really stretched ever in my life so im not flexible at al and after msybe a week of this i can now go down to my elbows during the hero pose which i did striggle with my first day, im improving with all stretches but this one is very noticable, thank you!
I do BJJ regularly and every stretch hit deep. Thank you! Help: I couldn't do the Lying Pike Rotations without experiencing some pain in my neck, what am I doing wrong?
39 year old BJJ no gi guy. I do this routine every couple days now and it’s made a huge difference in my body. Thanks so much.
Snap. I’m also a 39 yo no gi guy and love this. Doesn’t even feel like half an hour. Time flies with this routine
I’ll be 39 in a few days. I’m taking my first bjj class tomorrow. My goal to hopefully give me an edge is to train aggressively at stretching.
How the fck are all 3 of you 39 year old guys with long hair in your profile pics?! Matrix glitch
@@FH-pn1tm How are you not a 39 year old guy w/ long hair? That’s the question you should be answering, honey butt.
39 year guy just starting bjj here. After first 5 Trainings I was crushed (no stretching) thank you I will include it before my training now!
Thanks Tom, again a great routine. As a Olympic judo player I found this one a perfect addition. Keep going with your work man!
Taekwondo/kickboxing flexibility follow alongs would be put to use. :)
His hip flexor routine mixed with one of his hamstring routines are great for getting warmed up for kicks!
I sooo want this (muay Thai)! My gf (kickboxer) as well!
@@okaden2317 ill check it out, thanks

Yes 100%
As a MMA fighter myself I’ve been looking for this type of routine for a while. A simple, follow along, beneficial routine 🙏👍🏼

This is mobility not stretching
I was already doing you other videos to help with my BJJ training. This is a very welcome surprise!
one of my favorite of your videos 🥰 i would love to see more grappling focused ones and also i love the follow along format 🌈

I don’t normally comment on people’s videos but I gotta say this was really helpful. Thanks Tom 🙏🏽

A teammate suggested therapuddy to me. I’ve found it pretty useful to strengthen grips + forearms to reduce long-term soreness.
@@HalConick Where can you buy this brand? Cant find it anywhere
Added this to my daily routine and I can actually see a huge difference in my overall flexibility. Thanks a lot. 👌
I was sitting in the sauna, one of my favorite things. I stopped the sauna to immediately do this routine. Amazing. Thank you.
The upward dog after the horse stance to pancake was euphoric
excellent video mate. Using this to help me with a pinched nerve from bjj and it's eased things off significantly. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Tom adding this to my training regimen. Love from PH!
thank you so much man im a 15 year old and ive been looking for this for so long, felt so great after this. keep it up!
I just completed the stretch. It's just what I needed as I'm starting Jiu jitsu and very inflexible. Thank you!
Hey, How it's going ?
Thanks Tom! I started BJJ in February of this year, and this was just what my body needed
Thank you as always Tom. Your routines are essential for my wellbeing/maintenance!
I don't do BJJ at all but this was a nice flexibility routine, especially the exercises for the back. As usual, thank you and keep going!

BBJ RUINS my back, but I love it!

Cool I started watching your channel for hip flexibility but with this video I am definitely going to subscribe!
Awesome video. I use this video everyday before jiu jitsu class. Would love a handful more jiu jitsu videos.
How long have you been training? Do you feel this has helped you in anyway with your bjj?
Thank you bro! Anything related to opening up the hips is very helpful. I'm very tall and have issues squatting into position

Please make more of these Tom! I’m a BJJ practitioner and this really helps a lot
Thanks Tom. Even though Im not into martial arts the video was a good length and was a good mix of stretches for me as a beginner.
Could you maybe do a basketball flexibility and/or mobility workout?
