“It Takes Big Bucks to Play with Big Trucks.” 😬 That is the Official SuperTruckerDan Quote of the Week. 👍
Those Expensive Springs are Genuine Foreign Made Steel. 😬 You’re a Brave Man at the Weigh Station. 👍
Dan I really enjoy watching your vids, just thought I’d say hello, I don’t talk much but I follow you quite faithfully, I’m retired and have Congestive Heart Failure so TH-cam is about all I do. Again thanks.
hope your doing better
Thanks for watching
"There's a gear that will work, it's not a good one."
"Big Bucks to play with Big Trucks."
That's gold !!
Peterbilt prices are like having a Cadillac because a Pete is the Cadillac of trucks!
I love the way that truck shifts.
Thanks 6nz 18 over
Last hood spring I bought from Peterbilt broke within a couple months,so I got 2 from Amazon for half of what Pete wanted for one.
Truck and trailer looking good Dan , For sure a lot of people are afraid of the Chicken coop , Not me For sure , Bailey just a happy little camper for sure 😁 That's the right thing to do Change both hood Springs ,
TAKES BIG BUCKS to PLAY with BIG TRUCKS 😁😎
be safe take care yourselve Dan
I had to laugh Dan stopped talking while he was driving by the big scale house window. I can honestly say I dont sleep too good a scales.
We call that malfunction junction in Birmingham
Dan, very surprised to see you up. Everything costs these days, shiny side up...God Bless 🙏
BEAUTIFUL TRUCK SR.!
CONGRATULATIONS.
👆👍👊🤜🤛📺🇧🇷🇺🇸
That larger cab is giving a more secure feeling, which allows you to relax and enjoy the day. great stuff.
Sitting behind you at the Kingman Blue Beacon! Truck looks great!
When you said you was in a weigh station in Georgia I thought man how thing have changed. When I was driving OTR we got a ticket in Georgia for being to long with a cab over pete and a 40ft. trailer. We sled the fifth wheel up as for as it would go and still was not short enough for them. I think it was something like 52 ft back then. That was in the early 70s. They was checking length north of Atlanta and permits south of Atlanta. Our permit sticker for Georgia had come off the door but we had the right paper work for that so we got by with that just had to get a new sticker. Back then all the states east of Oklahoma had a 73,280 weight limit. Running from the east out west or back the other way we was not getting to run the weight we could if we had just run from here in Oklahoma out westland back.
Stay safe and God bless. Dan C
But wherever you are now, come Wednesday night thru Friday they're predicting frigid temperatures for Texas, and Oklahoma!
They're saying it's supposed to get down in the teens here in Ft. Worth!
I know it's nothing like what you might get up where you're at, but for down here that's cold!
Anyway, take care, you, and Bailey!...👍
Rolling right along.
We have perfect weather during the day here in Reno, NV….cold at night.
FDOT officer told me ince that they don't bother trucks parked overnight at the scales unless they see something really obvious. He said they'd rather have us safely parked instead of an on/off ramp to an exit or rest area
love listening to your truck roll And shifting those gears!!
So true. Glad I sold mine when I did
Hey Dan this is Brian, Senior Airman Sanchez, who downloaded the 463L Pallets in Nevada. This is an awesome channel my man! Thanks for letting me know about it!
that spring purchase reminded me of story about our commanding officer's wife when she went shopping at the local stores, in Cartagena, Sapin. when the merchants saw here coming in her fancy sports car, they charged her twice as much for a product, than what we poorer people paid. eventually the Seabee's wife told her why she was spending more for the same thing that we were paying less for. don't dress fancy and don't take the sportscar to town.
Good Morning For You Dan. Hope you have a smooth Great Thursday 👍
Dan your truck needs those old style individual round lights upfront 🇨🇦🇨🇦
Nice 👌
You def got enough big fuel tanks on that beast! lol.
Really enjoy Your Videos. I think that Your sharing accurately Life as a Trucker in Today’s perspective. It was really different in the Mid 70’s. I had a DCO-405 “Emeryville” International Harvester with a 238 Detroit. I pulled a Dorsey 40 ft. Spread. My leg would cramp holding the Throttle to the Floor.
I made good money for times.
I really like Your Rig when compared to My old Truck.
Realistically, to survive Today Regulation’s are very much stronger. Traffic is about 800 % greater if not much higher.
Owner Operator are still My Heroes !!
Carry On !! H.
I'm just here for the windshield time.
Ain't nobody going to mess with you sleeping at the WS. That's a plus plus. :)
That's a huge sleeper...I love it. What size is it?...all it's missing is a few windows
Another good video. B careful.
Stay Safe
The difference between a boy and a man is price of his toys!! I started my trucking career back in 1982 after many years of riding with my father! Your truck means you are the Man SuperTruckerDan!!
That’s right Big Bucks for sure!!
Parts used to be id say reasonable for the 2 international 9300s i ran but when they got in trouble with all the junk engines they built all that changed. Now vw is major shareholder and i purged those 2 9300s
re: bonnet springs, I always think to myself the springs are probably as old as the truck, so if you divide the cost into years of service they're not very expensive
I've lived in North Alabama for 40 years. The "spaghetti junction" in Birmingham is officially known as malfunction junction in Alabama. Even adot uses the term sometimes.
Dan, I'd say spending those big bucks are worth every penny. That is one cool big truck. Cheers!
Damn I can't believe a Swift truck actually passed that Peterbilt
Trucker Dan... what about the freedom convoy in Canada.
If you think Peterbuilt parts are expense, try buying parts for an airplane! Plus you get the added bonus as an owner of NOT being able to do anything other than general preventative maintenance. On the other hand, we pilots don't have the luxury to pull off to the side of the road if something breaks when we are flying.
Good video. 👍
Drive safely my friend.
God bless you. 🙏
Praying you and all the other truck drivers traveling grace 🙏🏾
Dan, the tractor n Dorsey trailer looking sharp as always. Be safe in your travels.
Nice truck
Thanks Dan. Always enjoy your videos. Blessings
Great title for this section
Looks like a load of 463L pallets used to load cargo into US Air Force C-5s, C-17s and C-130s. I recall you picked up a load of them in Cadillac, MI where they are manufactured several episodes ago.
Your videos continue to add respect to 'truck drivers'. Thanks for that. Great work.
Paccar nose trucks are beautiful. When they need to be repaired, they do cost some money. Hit a deer = $20k ish for the new factory hood out the door. Still looks nice though.
When i drove i love the beatuy of country
You shower with that water? A lot of times those faucets say non potable.
We here in Alabama call the interstate junction in Birmingham "Malfunction Junction".
Thanks for taking us along! Great video!
As always thanks Dan, for another relaxing video. Safe travels for you and Bailey and all my best to Teresa, That woman must be a saint, with her husband gone all the time, and she keeps hanging in there in full support of the plan. God bless all of you and keep you safe.
P.S. On that 18 speed, I always figured any hole was fine if the engine sounded right at the time. 🙄 Had to reword that to eliminate the misinterpretation of my meaning.🤗
No comment on finding the right hole. ;)
@@MrPjcrews ha ha haa..that's what she said 🤣
Great stuff, your living the dream
Dan, was OTR and regional for 12-yrs. I am prior USAF NAVAIDS and weather equipment technician 8-yrs as well. Thank you for serving.. I enjoy your channel's content. Liked that you changed both hood springs. Stay safe.
Smart man!
Replace in pairs!
Haha….makes me feel better that even you had to hunt a gear….stay safe brother….
Glad to see you come thru my neck of the woods. On i-22. I am near exit 30 about 15 mins before you stopped at loves in Hamilton.
That new I22 I believe was US 78 before, used to run it all the time to Memphis, was a lot of 2 lane back in the day and small towns/spot in the road places...damn I'm getting old..LOL I parked the truck 26 years ago and haven't been back...Stay safe out there Dan!!..
and a speed trap in every little town..not to mention no trucks in left lane...the good ole days...
Yep, old 78. That was the road my dad would drive when went to Mississippi to visit family. The last time I was in it they were upgrading it to interstate standards.
i always preferred the long runs, couldn't hack short/dedicated runs, just got too bored seeing the same thing, back and forth. one time a company sent me in for a full medical checkup, to find out why i was so tired. instead of spending all that money, they could of just asked me. i was tired cause i was bored "seeing the same thing, over and over."
Expensive springs!
Thanks for the video Dan. We know you’re a busy man but we appreciate you taking the time to make a video. I don’t speak for everyone but I enjoy watching them
Bailey is seeing more of the country than I have
Truck is looking good Dan be safe and keep up the good videos pet Bailey for me
All loves are the same old thing just different fast food joints.
SC to NV=💰💰💰💰
Dan if you'll get a pad for that ferocious gaurddog of you, you could let her sleep up under the trailer, weather permitting that is!
I'm sure with her up underneath there, nobody would go near your truck!...🤪😅😂🐶👍
Yeah I know, I couldn't leave her out there all night either! She's way too cute, and I'd be more afraid of someone stealing her!...🐶💖👍
Wow I was thinking about a look at the new Truck stop inside but I guess I missed that part !!!! 🤠
Thanks Dan, Teresa and Bailey,
Have safe travelling...
take care you all
Enjoyed the windshield tlme , great to see the nice weather. Setting here drinking coffee at -12 in Pa.
It cost big bucks to stay in big trucks ,great video have a great day and stay safe
Safe travels Dan
I was at that Loves a few weeks ago and a small plane crashed in the field behind it. That loves is a lot easier in and out than the one on Jasper.
Lol thats funny as I'm watching this its snowing in Fort Smith, AR
just saw a truck that looks just like yours in Alabama.....thought it was you but it had a jet engine on it, probably Southern Pride.
I seen guys check their tires with Hammers :) :)
Much easier and gives at least me a better feeling it it's okay or not. It's very common having to low pressure, at least on company trucks.
Dan, you're a professional trucker. They use a hammer or gauge to check tire pressure. Only rookies and people who are lazy kick tires.
Sure is a nice looking rig....
I was in a bind to park my truck couple of nights ago in Massachusetts by Holyoke… so what I do? I pulled into a state trooper barracks area, LOL. Parked on the shoulders into their police cruiser parking lot, hahaha… a trooper knocked on my door when I was ready to fall asleep, he asks me how long I intended to stay or what time I planned on moving out… I told him and he left me alone.
Try Farm store for springs , i picked up couple looked about the same you showed in the video and was a lot cheaper, drive safe .
checked with the boss, she says i can ride with you to nv
Another good video KEEP ON TRUCKIN 🚛🇺🇸👍
A great one again..thanks
Alrighty then 😉. Love your videos.
I just checked Amazon and found some Peterbilt springs from $24.99 up to $51.98. Love those OME parts.
It's a good thing you have the wheel base, cause I-40 is a rough piece of road in NM & Az, Tx not so much.
Hi Dan. Love Bailey to death. When it came to the hood spring I am sure there may have been some scrapyard where you could have gotten a replacement spring for pennies on the dollar. Since it's a Paccar part it wouldn't have mattered if it came off a Pete or a KW. I am sure that spring is common on many models. One size fits most.
Good morning Dan. Really enjoy the road footage. I like the way you do things. Don't mess around. Replace both springs while you're at it. Thats why your equipment is top notch! Stay well, give Bailey a scratch for me.
For water - if you ever want, you can get a triple filter system for your tank (use one in the RV), which can make it useable for drinking... Couple hundred bucks, less than two hood springs!
When my Dad taught me to drive 45 years ago he said "if can't find'm grind'm"
Convoy to Ottawa
I-22 looked like a nice drive, thanks for sharing.
Sleeping at the weigh station probably just encourages a thorough pre-trip.
You are a great person and a great friend and keep up the great work
Must be going to Nellis AFB. You have aircraft shipping pallets. Built up and loaded many of them in the ANG/AF!!
Travel safe, Dan!!!
Good Vlog!
Bonjour SuperTruckerDan Bonne Route et Bon continuation Alain MICHEL de FRANCE
Living near I-40 and watching the forcast I believe thru most of next week you will be OK but after delivering in Nevada if it still good weather I think you would be wise to head home!
Paid $99.00 for SS air tank u-bolts. Plus no nuts, picked up 2 of them for my 95 T600. Sold it and have them now. Guess I can use them to hold up my 2 blank KW key blanks I also found in my box of stuff.
The so called i22 is highways 78 its not been made a interstate yet . Still alot of crossing traffic and traffic signals
