I've owned several bikes, Yamaha, Suzuki and Honda. My last bike was a 97 Valkyrie. It was by far the best bike I owned!!! I wish I never sold it. I would love to get another one!!
I so want to get one! I think it will be my next buy honestly... I haven't ridden one since I made this video and hasn't been able to "move on"

All boxer engins are flat, but not all flat engins are boxer. Hondas flat 6 is not a boxer. But they are awesome.

I had a M-109, Honda Magna 700, Suzuki Intruder 1500.. nothing compares to my '99 Valk I've had since 2012. The M-109 just felt faster because it's crazy toquey with tons of muscle in a V-twin configuration. The Valk has fantastic linear feel that you have to get the RPM's up to really feel the power. In '99 it was maybe a little head of his time but among today's big cruisers it may not be the fastest but from top to bottom it's hard to beat.
I agree with you. The valk is such a great bike. I want one still today. It will be my next purchase for sure.

My 98 Tourer (bought new in 99) has 202,000 miles (323,200 kms) on it now. I have 320,000 miles between my three Valks. Love them, obviously.

My opinión? The best ever, powerfull, it's big and heavy but hanles like a much lighter bike due to low center of gravity, the engine (flat oposite 6) is the best balanced with virtually no vibration and the longest lasting engine i ever seen in a bike with the proper maintenance and high quality oils, and refrigerant, a good retired friend has one with over 370,000 miles (traveling in usa) with the original engine and still running strong. Simply amazing!

I get your point, but the image hurt... My surgeon recommended a lobotomy to remove the nightmares, but since Halloween is coming up, I decided to go the route of the Legend of Sleepy Hollow. I just lopped off my head. No more images....

Reminds me a little of the older generation Rocket III. But the valkyrie has a more mean and powerful sound. Nice ride DV!

Grym cruiser. Ljudet är ju så gott ur boxer 6an.
Min m1800r jag hade gick för visso bättre, men ljudet och känslan av f6c motorn är outstanding.
6-6 avgassystemet låter ljuvligt :)
Aldrig kört m1800 än... den är riktigt snygg.
ljudet ur denna hoj är underbart, jag vill ha en sån enbart för ljudet =P

Excellent road test..............yes a brilliant bike. I absolutely agree with you that the Warrior 1700 is my favourite Cruiser followed in close 2nd by the Valkyrie. I have 6 into 6 custom exhaust and swear it sounds like a Porsche but LOUDER LOL! To answer Makedeth it was A late model Ferrari Testarossa TR 512 at the end, another true icon.

@@Saddlebags73 same here. they wern't sold here so every bike of them here were imported at some point... they aren't too expensive though once you find them =)
I`m on my second, over a twenty year period. Generally every blogger bangs on about the noise of a flat 6 boxer "unleashed" imho that aftermarket zorst is a complete waste of money and de values the bike. In reality Irritating to live with and makes one look a complete tool massaging yourself about the noise it makes. The F6C has many original attributes that are worth expanding upon but it has its flaws, the suspension and effect that has on pillion comfort is never talked about. As a solo cruiser its smoothness and acceleration are notable, the high ground clearance aids handling and corners can be fun even on a big heavy bike. Not everyone`s cup of tea but a fantastic build from Honda.

Nej. Honda är dessutom kända för att ha bra hojar som sällan går sönder.

I have a Valkyrie just like this one, 1997 Black and Silver with the Cobra exhaust just like this one. The sound they make when you wind it up a bit is just awesome and there is nothing that comes close to it for looks and ride quality. I've had ten other bikes over the years including a Kawasaki Z1300 - 6 which is a fitting companion to the Valkyrie but the Valkyrie is a step up from the Z13 and I wouldn't trade it for anything. They really do grow on you and I love my Dragon.

Never head of this bike before, must be fairly uncommon?
They weren’t sold in Sweden. Basically every bike here is imported. It’s a gold wing minus the bags etc. a stripped down gold wing.
You can find them on the used market. They aint that rare but still not as common as other bikes.
