Another pain is not being able to find a good therapist for yourself because you are friends with all the cool ones )))

That client ghosted part is 100%! As a provider i have felt that exact thing and i have to remind myself that "discharge planning" isnt always in the client's (or therapist's) plan and it doesnt mean the provider did anything wrong

I’m so glad I found your content. I’m an esthetician finishing up school to be a marriage and family therapist. I just started my internships and boy it’s a journey! Love your content keep it up.

This was pretty cool ! In Maryland, you can never enter into any dual relationship, even if it’s been years afterwards. So, I stay away from dual relationships!

I’ve been ghosted by therapists before. It’s not always the clients.

I’ve heard that unfortunately too often. I’m sorry that was your experience

It may not be that the therapist ghosted you. There is high turnover in the counseling field.

Thank you so much for your content Shani!
You've really inspired me to try therapy, never occurred to me that a client could make a therapist grow as a person

I've always been very empathetic, and i've always wondered about how it is, and how hard it is from the therapists POV.
Thank you for giving us insight.
It makes me have even more respect for y'all.

I've also been one of those clients that has ghosted a therapist, and I wish I remembered her name so I could apologize.
I was struggling so bad, and I was diagnosed with two diagnosis that were symptoms of another issue.. I felt like nothing was helping, long story short.
I just gave up on her, because I was just out of hope.
I wish I could go back and just rekindle that. She was so sweet, and she understood everything else I was going through. From the ethics, to the background...ugh. 😫
